Factors Influencing Contractors Selection in Construction Projects

Contractor selection is a critical decision that is undertaken by client organizations and is central to the success of any construction project. The process should be conducted prior to the award of contract, characterized by many factors such as contactor’s skills, experience on similar projects, track record in the industry, and financial stability. Selection of the best contractor is a vital process in construction projects. This paper identifies the most important factors that influence the selection of contractors. A questionnaire was distributed to experts in the construction domain to determine the importance of factors that are taken into consideration by the main contractor to select the most suitable contractor. A survey was carried out which was conducted with many experts in the construction field to determine the score of each factor.

Effect of Coconut Shell as a Coarse Aggregates on Behavior of Concrete

The prices of building materials are rising day by day. The main ingredient of the concrete is coarse aggregate. Nowadays, many of the researchers are researching the material which can reduce the cost of construction as well as increase the cost. In developing countries, the possibility of using some agricultural wastes as well as industrial by products from different industries as construction materials will be highly desirable and has found to have several practical advantages. It was observed that the coconut shell has a great potential as a partial replacement of the aggregate in the concrete. The present work is only an accumulation of information about GFRGC and the research work which is already carried out by other researchers. Coarse aggregate were used in proportions of 5 , 10 , 15 to replace coarse aggregate in conventional concrete. The high demand for concrete in the construction using normal weight aggregates such as gravel and granite drastically reduces the natural stone deposits and this has damaged the environment there by causing ecological imbalance. This study aims in development the mix design of lightweight aggregate concrete using Coarse Shell as coarse aggregate together with cement and river sand. Coconut shell reinforced composites have been used as cheap and durable non structural elements.

Effectiveness of Online Teaching in Higher Education during Covid19 Pandemic in Mysore

As Covid19 entered the world in the beginning of 2020, India also witnessed rising number of cases as of huge population next to china. As a safety measure against Covid 19 pandemic, as per the government order, university announced holidays for the students from 16 march 2020. Colleges were shut from long time, didn’t even conduct the examination for the first and second year of UG course and first year of PG course. Only final year students appeared for the exams with so much of worry and fear. though Covid 19 started spreading rapidly educationist did not stop teaching . Teachers explored new way of teaching by learning new technology and continue to engage students during pandemic. The universities are meant for traditional teaching ,adopted to online teaching as per the guidelines of UGC. An attempt is made to study to measure the effectiveness of online teaching to university students in Mysore district. around 550 students are surveyed through Google forms and responses are analysed and presented in this paper.

Keyloggers A Malicious Attack

Keylogging, one of the unsafe malware, is the movement of recording the keys struck on a console with the end goal that the individual utilizing the console is obscure about the way that their activities are being watched. It has legitimate use in examination of human PC collaboration and is considered as the primary danger for business and individual exercises. It tends to be utilized to catch passwords and other secret data entered by means of the console. Subsequently, counteraction of keylogging is significant and severe validation is needed for it. Planning of secure confirmation conventions is very testing, taking into account that different sorts of root units dwell in Personal Computers to watch clients conduct. There are different keylogging procedures, stretching out from equipment and programming based techniques to acoustic assessment. Human contribution in confirmation conventions, however ensuring, isnt straightforward. This paper surveys different examination regions which spread convention confirmations utilized safely forestalling the representation of keylogging assaults.

Flotation Results of Oxidized Copper Ores of the Kalmakyr Deposit

According to preliminary calculations, oxidized copper ores in the dumps of the Kalmakyr deposit are about 107.6 million tons 01.01.2020 of which Balance ores 12.1 million tons with a Cu content of 0.8 Au 1.2 g t Ag 3.9 g t. Off balance ores 95.5 million tons with content Cu 0.3 Au 0.4 g t Ag 2 g t. Total metals copper 373 thousand tons, gold 56.6 tons, silver 246.5 tons. The total reserves of metals in the accumulated dumps are estimated at 373 thousand tons of copper, 56.6 tons of gold and 246.5 tons of silver, which is of interest primarily for non ferrous metallurgy. As a result of a set of studies carried out on samples of oxidized copper ore dumps from the Kalmakyr deposit, the following conclusions can be drawn Three methods hydrometallurgical, flotation and combined of processing oxidized copper ores of the Kalmakyr deposit have been shown experimentally and cathode copper with a content of 99.6 , a gold bearing concentrate with a gold content of 36.5 g t and silver content of 47.1 g t. Optimal modes and indicators of concentration efficiency are determined. On the basis of laboratory studies, a technology for processing oxidized copper ores of the Kalmakyr deposit has been proposed. Technological schemes for processing dumps of oxidized copper ores from the Kalmakyr deposit have been developed and recommended for implementation, the implementation of which will make it possible to obtain an estimated 6,183 tons of copper, 425 kg of gold and 707 kg of silver per year.

A Review on Alternative to Diesel Fuel

A worldwide environment temperature increase, high energy interest and accessibility of new innovations are among the variables catalysing the look for elective wellsprings of energy. Right now, there is recharged interest in acquiring energy from non conventional procedure, waste derived. The methods of using those fuels are blending with diesel or some other fuels, use as secondary fuel and primary fuel as gaseous fuel etc. Till now many investigations have been done on the use of different fuels. Expanded expenses of removal and their chaperon issues of hefty natural stacking are a few angles making the removal alternative ugly. These squanders are wellsprings of energy and among the few wellsprings of creating this energy are the waste to energy classifications with possibilities for useable fuel creation. The WTE materials are predominantly utilized homegrown waste oils, metropolitan strong waste, horticultural whats more, mechanical squanders. Nonetheless, the last squanders are not alluring as they comprise of endless risky foreign substances. The waste derived fuels got potentials as a safe and savvy wellspring of useable fuel. Their change offers the benefits of a decrease in ozone depleting substance outflow, upgrading fuel expansion and a subjectively equivalent energy yield to fossil diesel powers. Hence, waste derived fuels, biodiesel etc. are safe and good to use in diesel engine.

An Exponential Observer Design for a Class of Chaotic Systems with Exponential Nonlinearity

In this paper, a class of generalized chaotic systems with exponential nonlinearity is studied and the state observation problem of such systems is explored. Using differential inequality with time domain analysis, a practical state observer for such generalized chaotic systems is constructed to ensure the global exponential stability of the resulting error system. Besides, the guaranteed exponential decay rate can be correctly estimated. Finally, several numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the validity, effectiveness, and correctness of the obtained result.
