Polymer Modified Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Bagasse

This research describes the results of using modified concrete made from steel fibers in Styrene Butadiene Rubber SBR . The study reported the different characteristics and compressive strength of latex reinforced steel fibre modified concrete. Latex modified concrete is known as portland cement and combined with polymers dispersed in water when mixed. This is considered a resin dispersion. Polymers such as natural rubber concrete latex increase resistance to carbonation and penetration of chloride. Polymer can boost properties such as higher strength and lower water permeability than standard concrete when used as an admixture. Because of a low strength level of concrete, steel fibers have been applied to concrete to enhance its stress characteristics. The concrete specimens of polymers were cast and tested to enhance certain mechanical and physical properties, such as friction, tensile strengths, bending strengths and operation efficiency. For our work, we used Styrene Butadiene rubber latex polymer and hooked end steel fibers. At an interval of 0,5 , the percentage of steel fibers used was 0 percent, 0,5 , 1 percent. In percentage 5 percent, 10 percent, 15 percent, was taken from the steel fiber produced best and latex produced maximum power. 24 beam 500 mm X 100 mm X 100 mm is made of a total of 24 cubes, 150 mm x 150 mm X 150 mm . Checking of hardened concrete characteristics at 28th days. Few SFRC applications in the irrigation systems. Polymer modified steel reinforced concrete is very resistant to weathering, so it is commonly used in pavement lying.

Treatment of Sewage by Phytoremediation method using Izndian mustard Plant

Increasing urbanization, industrialization and over population is one of the leading causes of environmental degradation and pollution. Aquatic bodies are the traditional recipients of sewage containing heavy contaminants, which are released in higher concentrations and cause deleterious effects on organisms. Phytoremediation, an ecofriendly technology which is both ecologically sound and economically viable is an attractive alternative to the current cleanup methods that are very expensive. Phytoremediation technology is a cost effective one as it utilizes plants natural ability to suck the pollutant present in the water. There are many plants having this natural ability to up take the heavy metals and organic pollutants from air, soil and water. In this project we have treated the sewage coming out after primary treatment using phytoremediation techniques. In this project, the sewage which is taken from the primary treatment unit is further treated using phytoremediation technique that is the mustard plant is used for treating the sewage and thereby reducing the contaminants in wastewater to meet the wastewater disposal standards. Among various phytoremediation techniques phytovolatilization found to be effective in removing the pollutant as BOD, COD, Turbidity, Total dissolved solids, Kjeldahl nitrogen. The phytovolatilization showed the best removal of BOD up to 59.44 , COD up to 60.02 , Turbidity up to 97.83 , Total dissolved solids up to 31.35 , Kjeldahl nitrogen 97.46 .

A Study on Characteristics of Self Compacting Concrete with the Presence of Glass Powder and Steel Slag

Concrete cement has the most huge activity in the field of regular structure. Concrete is the most huge part in Concrete which integrates the Totals, anyway its creation is very essentialness using and adds to about 7 of Greenhouse gases, all around, and it is assessed that the age of one ton of Cement produces about 0.9 tremendous measures of CO2, which is released in nature. The fine aggregate or sand used are ordinarily procured from regular sources outstandingly stream beds or conduit banks. By and by a day as a result of consistent sand mining the trademark sand is debilitating at an upsetting rate. Thusly, there is a need to find alternative rather than basic sand and cement. The undertakings have been made to fragmentary overriding of sand with Granular Steel Slag G.S.S and bond with Waste Glass Powder W.G.P in view to reduce natural issues like pollution, utilization of basic resources and issues in waste the administrators. Granular Steel Slag G.S.S which is an aftereffect of steel making is conveyed during the parcel of the fluid steel from corruptions in steel creation radiators. The Slag occurs as a fluid liquid mollify and is an eccentric course of action of silicates and oxides that concretes in the wake of cooling. Development of steel slag improves the mechanical properties of concrete. Waste Glass Powder W.G.P is a significant mechanical waste. It shows pozzolanic direct when the particle size is under 75µ. The pozzolanic properties may be credited to the high proportion of silica. The particles of Glass Powder are fine, filling voids between bond grains which realizes extra strong Concrete. Fine total was not entirely superseded with 25 , half and 75 Granular Steel Slag G.S.S and bond replaced with 20 consistent Waste Glass Powder W.G.P for M20 grade concrete. Tests were performed for fresh and mechanical properties of cement at 7, 28 and 56 days and the results showed up there is a consistent increment in characteristics from 25 to half of replacement.

Experimental Behaviour of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete with partial Replacement of Fly Ash and Metakaolin

Concrete is generally used due to the abundance of uncooked material, low manufacturing and protection cost, excellence in compression, corrosion aspects, and versatility in forming more than a few shapes and its limitless structural purposes in aggregate with metal reinforcement. All these elements have contributed pressures to decrease cement consumption and to intensify lookup in exploring the probabilities of improving strength, sturdiness and corrosion discount via the use of pozzolonas as supplementary cementing materials. Fibre bolstered concrete FRC is a fibre reinforcing cementitious concrete composite, and by way of including discrete brief fibres randomly in concrete it famous many appreciably multiplied engineering residences It is manufactured from kaolin which makes the concrete extra long lasting and ecofriendly. In the current investigation mechanical residences of concrete containing each Fly ash and Metakaolin at a number of combos are studied. For the a range of mixtures of Fly ash and Metakaolin, cubes cylindrical and prism specimens are casted with 1 of fibres and the compression strength, break up tensile energy and flexural energy take a look at consequences are got and in contrast with the traditional combine having 1 fibres. It is thereby counseled that utilization of these cementitious substances in concrete will decrease the requirement for cement thereby marching in the direction of green construction.

Experimental Study on the Behaviour of Concrete by Partially Replacement of Cement with Sugarcane Bagasse

We are well aware that the production of cement does a lot of harm to the environment. It includes tons of similar carbon emissions from other chemicals. Research has shown that every ton of cement output releases half a ton of carbon dioxide, so the need to regulate the use of cement is immediate. For example, Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash is hard to arrange on the hand materials squanders which is consequently ecological danger. The Bagasse debris gives concrete strong early cohesion, and also decreases cement porousness. During hydration, the silica present in the Bagasse debris reacts with concrete segments and gives extra properties such as chloride opposition, erosion obstruction and so on. Using Bagasse debris in concrete thus decreases the ecological pollution as well as improves the properties of cement and thus decreases the quality. This undertaking manages for the most part to substitute concrete with Bagasse debris in defined degree and to test the mixed cement on SCBA. The solid blend formed by fluctuating the Bagasse debris differential extent at 0 percent, 10 percent, 15 percent, 20 percent, 30 , 40 percent. The test result shows that the consistency of solid increases up to 10 per cent Sugar stick bagasse debris with concrete supplanting.

An Experimental Investigation on Incorporation of Fine Aggregate with Glass Powder and Cement with Zeolite to Mitigate Urban Heat Island Effect

An experimental study was done for replacement of glass powder and zeolite to evaluate the effect of urban heat island. All of the concrete sample mixtures carried out the intensified mortar bar test to evaluate the growth of the ASR. Perhaps this is partly related to a smaller glass particle size, the chemical characteristics of bottle as well as the participation of zeolite throughout concrete. Test specimens G20 Z10, GO Z10 and GI0 Z0, reached the power parameters. The G20 Z10 had the maximum resistance characteristics between them. These were found that intensity values with both the rising quantity of glass dust up to 20 per cent dose started to show a declining pattern. The replacing cement to zeolite powder research by up to 10 per cent indicates a tremendous pattern throughout strength properties. Decreased compressive tension, flexicurity and broken tensile strength may be due to reduced adhesion here between smoother surface of the glass particle as well as the cement. A G20 Z10 blend study revealed lower pavement surface temperature, which can also be considered a mitigating technique for urban heat islands.

A Research onto Study the Properties of Concrete with Partial Replacement of Aggregates by Plastic Aggregates

Plastic waste management is the main environmental issues in our country. The present study applies to the usage of recycled plastics as an alternative for aggregates in concrete. The motive of the study is to investigate the alteration in the physical qualities of concrete by the use of waste of plastics in concrete. The utilization of plastic aggregates was discovered to lead to the development of sturdy concrete. Additionally, with the plastics, the tensile and compressive strength of the concrete reduces. The foremost change brought approximately by using plastics is the fact that concrete’s thermal conductivity is decreased due to the utilization of plastics. It is able to thus be declared recycled plastics are usually utilized for thermal insulation of structures.Series of experiments had been performed in this current study for a comparison of the usage of Used Plastic as a replacement of sand in various different proportions. The main conclusions drawn was that the compressive strength increases with the inclusion of Used Plastic upto a certain proportions and then reduces the strength.

Damage and Loss Assessment of a Midrise RC Building in Downtown Area of Yangon Region

Yangon is an earthquake prone region and most of the low rise to mid rise residential reinforced concrete buildings are designed for gravity loads only. Therefore, evaluation of seismic vulnerability of buildings is essential in order to predict the probable damages and losses to this type of buildings. Damage assessment and earthquake loss estimation for gravity only design buildings should be performed to predict the damage probabilities and losses under the earthquake loading. In this study, seismic design and gravity design are accomplished for a five story residential RC building. Nonlinear static pushover analysis is performed using SAP 2000 software and capacity curves and fragility curves are developed for both designs. Damage probability matrices DPM are formed for design basic earthquake DBE level and maximum considered earthquake MCE level and the damage states are compared. The expected annual loss of the both designs are evaluated by means of the fragility curves and seismic hazard curve. Expected annual loss EAL values are also estimated and compared for both designs for 475 years and 2475 years periods.

Determination of Local Site Effects in Taikkyi Area, Yangon Region by using Microtremor Observations

Considering the possible local site effect is one of the most important facts in seismic hazard assessment. Depending on the local site condition, the characteristics of the seismic waves propagated through different geological layers and amplified the surface ground motion. In this study, one of the geophysical method of microtremor observations were carried out at 112 sites throughout the Taikkyi area. After analyzing the recorded microtremor observed data by Cygwin Software, we determined the horizontal to vertical spectral ratio HVRs that reflects the local site effects of the study area. The main outcomes of this research is to develop the fundamental frequency map and peak amplitude or soil amplification map of Taikkyi area. According to the evaluation results, the fundamental frequency is ranging from 1 to 2.3 Hz and most parts of Taikkyi area show in the range of 1.3 to 1.6 Hz. The peak amplitude of HVRs potential soil amplification is ranging from 1.5 to 3.6 and most parts of the area are in the range of 1.5 to 2.5.

Site Characterization and Seismic Site Response Study for Bagan Area

Bagan, the cultural heritage city of Myanmar located in the Mandalay region, which is very close to the active Sagaing fault. Most of Bagan’s cultural heritage monuments have been damaged due to earthquakes. Therefore, seismic response analysis is needed to evaluate site response characteristics for retrofitting and preservation of the historical monuments in Bagan. Site response studies require the characterization of subsurface materials considering local subsurface profiles of the site. The main target of the present study is site characterization and the estimation of seismic site response for the Bagan monument area. For this purpose, a geophysical survey such as microtremors was carried out to determine the variation of soil profile as well as the characteristics of the soil layers within the study site. Shear wave velocities at the study sites were estimated through the inversion of microtremors H V spectrum. The sites were categorized based on the average shear wave velocity of the overburden soil above the bedrock as Class ‘D’ Stiff Soil Profile and Class ‘C’ Very Dense Soil and Soft Rock . Equivalent linear site response analysis of layered soil deposits was carried out using DEEPSOIL software which determines peak ground acceleration PGA and response spectrum. The maximum surface PGA was found 0.24g and the maximum acceleration of surface motion is 1.13g at a period of 0.14s.

Modulation of Neural Cross Frequency Coupling analysis in VLSI Architecture

Cross frequency coupling CFC is a key mechanism in neuronal computation, communication, and learning in the brain. Abnormal CFC has been implicated in pathological brain states such as epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. A reduction in excessive coupling has been shown ineffective neuromodulation treatments, suggesting that CFC may be a useful feedback measure in closed loop neural stimulation devices. However, processing latency limits the responsiveness of such systems. VLSI architecture is presented which implements the phase locking value of CFC to enable the application specific trade off between low latency and high accuracy processing.

Seismic Analysis of Framed R.C. Structure with Base Isolation Technique using E Tabs

A Natural Calamity like an earthquake has taken a million lives throughout in our past. The force induced due to earthquake is dangerous and last for short duration of time. There are various techniques that can be used resist the force of an earthquake such as base isolation, bracing etc. The principle of base isolation is to isolate the structure from the motion of an earthquake and protect the structure and also reduce the force being transmitted to the building due to earthquake. For this study, G 13 storied R.C. frame building is considered and time history analysis is carried out using E Tabs 2017 software, and also study investigates structural behavior of multi story building with or without base isolation subjected earthquake ground motion. The Lead Rubber Bearing LRB is designed as per UBC 97 code and the same was used for the analysis of base isolation system. Here we shall studying earthquake resistivity of structure by analyzing the base isolation structure to compare its structural performance with fixed base isolation.

Gold Price Prediction using Machine Learning

Historically, among other payment forms, gold has been used to fund trading purchases around the globe. Several states have retained and increasing their gold deposits, and have been known as democratic and prosperous nations. Actually, precious metals such as gold are kept by central banks in all countries to guarantee external debt servicing, and even to manage inflation. Furthermore it also reflects the countrys financial strength. In addition to government departments, numerous international companies and individuals have participated in gold reserves. In addition to the commoditys demand and supply on the market, the performance of the worlds leading economies also greatly influences gold rates. This rise in gold value coupled with volatility and falling prices from other markets such as capital markets and real estate markets has attracted more and more investors to gold as an attractive investment. Although there is still strong uncertainty of the late gold market, and transactions in gold are getting more dangerous. Theres a fear that those high prices will be sustainable and that the prices will reverse. Although there are a number of studies that analyze the correlation between the gold price and certain economic variables. Machine learning was often applied to predicting financial variables, but usually focused on predicting stocks rather than commodities. In this study, we proposed the development of forecasting model for predicting future gold price using Linear Regression LR

A Research on to Study the Seismic Behaviour of a Multi Storey Building with RC Moment Resistance Frame and Shear Wall

Seismic analysis plays a important role in the engineering structure, after the major earthquake that is Kashmir earthquake 2005 and Gujarat earthquake 2001 , there is a attention about the vulnerability assessment of earthquake on the structure. Generally, after the Gujarat earthquake it was seen that the building was failed because of the soft story behavior. When the seismic waves are produce or we can say that when the seismic waves are strikes to the any building, the reduction in lateral stiffness takes place and thus the mass in the ground floor results the higher stress in vertical member under seismic load. To overcome this effect moment resistant frame STORY used.Moment resistant frame is a assemblage of columns and beams in the rectilinear form. In the M.R frames beams are rigidly connected by the columns. After these earthquake the Indian Standard codes was revised that is IS 1893 in IS 2002.In the present study we use the MR frames for overcome the effect of the earthquake and the building is modeled in the software named as “Resist”. In this study we will also discuss about the wind load on the building. The moment resistant frames are used commonly to resist the lateral loads seismic load . The moment resistant frames are of two types which are 1. Ordinary Moment Resistant Frames.2. Special Moment Resistant Frames. The SMRF are used in the high vulnerable area or zone for providing the ductile behavior. The response factor for the SMRF is about 5. The aim of the study is to analysis the building with moment resistant frame for earthquake and for the wind loads and gives the results.

In the current industrial scenario, emphasis is being laid on cost cutting and induction of versatility in the offerings of a particular company. Satisfaction of the customer is indeed of paramount importance but while doing so, it is necessary to provide technically feasible solutions so that the right product is chosen for the right application. This paper shall study and check the feasibility of offering Knife Gate Valves for high working and testing pressures. Being a member of the family of Block valves used for enabling and disabling the flow, Knife Gate Valves serve the best in demanding applications that include handling of thick and abrasive media which needs to be cut through during operation. However, there are certain applications which include working pressures in the range of 10 bar. In such case, it is necessary to check the feasibility of employing a Knife Gate Valve based on the design and overall valve structure. In order to do the same, this paper shall consider various aspects like applications, purpose of use, suitability of flow media, working parameters and design for various profiles. A conclusion shall be drawn dictating the technical feasibility of employing Knife Gate Valves for high working and testing pressure requirements.

Waste Plastic’s Effect on the Deterioration of Bituminous Mixes in Cold Climates

The modifications in bitumen can be carried by addition of various types of additives. Polymers can be categorized as one of the types of additive. By the addition of Polymers to the bitumen, the temperature susceptibility and also the stiffness get increased. Due to this increase in stiffness, the resistance of the mix to rutting in hot climates is generally improved and thus we can use comparatively softer base bitumen, which results in improved performances at low temperatures. It was observed that after comparing the results of the mixes prepared by the addition of both Anti stripping material with Varying percentages and WPB, and the mixes containing only WPB, the latter provided better results in terms of Retained Marshall stability and Marshall Quotient. It was noticed that control mix after being subjected to repeated Freeze Thaw cycles can lose more than 50 of its original strength hence modification to the mix should be done by addition of 6 WPB which highly enhances the strength of the mix. The mixes with 6 WPB even after 7 Freeze exhibit stability values similar to that of control mix under ideal conditions.

Relative Study on Warm and Hot Bituminous Mixes

In this work, comparison made between the Warm mix and bituminous mix technology. Warm Mix Asphalt WMA technology is one of the solutions which combine energy savings and environmental benefits. It is a modification of the conventional method of construction of flexible pavements which is surfaced with Hot Mix Asphalt HMA , which involves high mixing temperatures up to 140oC. A bituminous mix essentially consists of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler and bitumen which bind together all the constituents at high temperature. The optimum dosage of Bitubuild WM was found out to be 2 by weight of bitumen and the optimum binder content for the mix was 5.66 for BC samples and 4.68 in DBM samples. No change in optimum binder content was found by addition of warm mix additive. There was a slight increase in densities of mix with addition of warm mix additive. In BC sample, there was an increase from 2.344 g cc to 2.370 g cc and in DBM sample, there was increase from 2.369 g cc to 2.378 g cc. There was a slight increase in Marshall Stability value with addition of warm mix additive. In BC sample, there was an increase from 21.15 kN to 25.53 kN and in DBM sample, there was increase from 20.17 kN to 22.14 kN.

Thermal Analysis of Engine Block

Several automobile industries are working on it to maintain a proper temperature for increasing the efficiency and also to prevent the engine from thermal damage. So it become important to analyse fins structure for better heat transfer rate. High temperature on the surface of engine block effect the efficiency of engine. Increasing number of fins is not only the criteria to increase the heat dissipation from the surface of fins. Generally, rectangular fins are used in motor bike engine, although the temperature at the surface is in safe limit. By introducing new geometry of fin and if the minimum temperature of new geometry is less than or near about the minimum temperature of rectangular fin is not only help in increasing the efficiency of engine block but also it may help in reducing the weight of engine block. Convective heat transfer is the mechanism of heat transfer and it depends on convective heat transfer coefficient and Contact surface area with air. Fins are surfaces that extend from an object to increase the rate of heat transfer to or from the environment by increasing convection. And the analysis is done by numerical method and on Solid Works software.

An Experimental Study on Bituminous Mix Design using Different Percentage of Crumb Rubber to Improve the Strength of Pavement

roduction of rubber bitumen by blending of bitumen with crumb rubber from crumb tires is not just a waste treating method, but a possible solution for improving the durability of asphalt pavements compared to roads made of conventional bitumen. The following advantages are usually emphasised improved durability, longer life time, lower life cycle maintenance cost, increased permanent deformation resistance, traffic noise reduction effect. MOL together with University of Pannonia developed a new, patented production method HU226481 , which is capable to produce chemically stabilised rubber bitumen CSRB . Asphalt tests have proved that the performance of CSRB is comparable to high quality polymer modified bitumen. Experience attracts attention to the fact that appearance of a binder of such quality is required in the future since it significantly supports sustainability and quality of road network. In 2010 MOL won a HuF 128 million research grant, partly supported by the EU and Hun gary. Main parts of the supported project are • Implementation of new technology in Zala Refinery prototype plant • RandD work for finalisation of technology • Test road construction and evaluation of the road quality • Marketing support of product sales. Solid waste management has gained a lot of attention to the research community now a days. Out of the various solid waste, accumulated waste tires, has become a problem of interest because of its non biodegradable nature. Road network is important to the economic development, social integration and trade of a country. Inadequate transportation facilities could have an effect on socio economic and cultural development of a country. Stone Matrix Asphalt having good stability, strength and maintenance of the smooth surface of the road and other structures. Stone Matrix Asphalt mix is prepared by blending of course and fine aggregates. Study on road in india indicated increased the volume of traffic as a result huge development of road is required. The SMA mixture is used to restrain the distresses and provide better durability in the bituminous pavements. Aggregate gradation was taken as per MORTH specification for SMA mix. Study resulted that optimum bitumen content for samples prepared by mix of 5 crumb rubber Tyre waste . Mixing of crumb rubber with 5 waste in SMA mix was observed cost effective and economical. Here maximum stability obtained is 13.86 Kn This value as compared to other fibers is a little higher. Study of test result resulted higher stability, strength and durability of roads.

Bio Organic Concotions Influenced Single Bud Set Sugarcaneas Planting Materials

The scenario nowadays in sugarcane production was the high cost of using multiples nodes cutting as planting materials. A study of single bud set was conducted to determine the performance of single buds as planting materials as influenced by the application of Bio organic concoctions. It was carried out in completely randomized design CRD with six treatments and the differences of treatments was analyze using Analysis of Variance ANOVA followed by Tukey’s HSD Test to determine the treatment effect. The applications of Bio organic concoctions significantly influence the single bud set sugarcane in terms of height cm , number of leaves, and number of lateral sprouts emerged. Lactic acid bacteria serums LABS alone significantly higher on plant height cm and number of leaves. Moreover, Bio organic concoctions did not influence the number of emerged lateral sprouts in 35 and 42 days after planting, However, single bud set treated with LABS and Vermitea produced a higher number of lateral sprouts.

Using Design of Experiments Approach to analysis Factors Effecting on the PV Cells

Many factors affect the performance of a PV module. In this experiment, we will use the factorial experimental design method to investigate these factors. Several factors are studied in this experiment such as phase change martial type, PCM thickness, fin length thickness, fin count and the wind speed. A factorial design is often used by scientists wishing to understand the effect of two or more independent variables upon a single dependent variable so applying factorial design in PV parameters will give us the most significant parameter on the temperature of the cells. The statistical results showed that the most significant factors affected on the temperature of the cells are PCM thickness and wind speed.

Expermential Investagation and Analysis of Bitumen Modifaction Using Fly Ash

The increase of crude oil prices in recent years resulted in an increase in bitumen prices as crude oil is origin for bitumen, asphalt and in other hand the fly ash from the power generating plants causes severe disposal problems. The main purpose of this project is to study the possibility of using fly ash as mineral filler in Bituminous paving mixes. Fly ash, a coal combustion product once treated as waste and disposed in landfills, is used today in substructure and road works. The research of fly ash properties may solve the problems of treatment and intelligent use of this residual material. This Marshall stability test is employed to determine the properties like stability, flow value, air voids, voids in mineral aggregate VMA , voids filled with bitumen VFB for a Dense Bituminous Macadam DBM mix. The experimental work is carried out by using specifications from MORTH Ministry of road transports and highways, specifications for road and bridge works,5th revision .By replacing the stone dust with fly ash at the levels 4 , 6 and 18 the results are compared. The variation of properties, optimum bitumen and fly ash contents are evaluated. It is observed that the mixes with fly ash as filler not differ much in properties when compared with control mix and satisfy desired criteria specified by a much higher margin. Hence, it has been recommended to utilize fly ash wherever available, not only reducing the cost of execution, but also partly solve the fly ash utilization and disposal problems.

A Review on Fire Impacts on Concrete Structures

Concrete has been used as a construction material due to its versatile behaviour. It exhibits a high degree of fire resistance. The characteristic ability of concrete structures to combat one of the most devastating catastrophes can be attributed to its constituent materials which make it passive and have relatively poor thermal conductivity. However, concrete structures must be designed for fire outbreaks. The properties of concrete must be balanced against concerns about its fire resistance and susceptibility to spalling at elevated temperatures. In this paper, the causes, effects and some remedies of deterioration in concrete due to fire hazard will be presented. Also, some economical solutions to produce fire resistant concrete will be discussed.

New Design Criteria in Performance Based Earthquake Engineering

In order to increase the resistance of the building against earthquake effect in performance based design, the main objective is to select a performance target as design criteria and to design the structure to meet this target. In the nonlinear analysis with finite element method, the formation of the plastic hinge can lead to great potential damage to the building, so they are one of the basic data to determine the state of the building. Accordingly, if the number of plastic hinges in the building is increased, the total horizontal load carrying capacity of the structure increases proportionally. Theoretically, when the structure of plane frame bearing system reaches a plus value of the degree of indeterminacy of the structure, the structure will reach the capacity to bear the largest final horizontal load. For this reason, in this study, in addition to the current design criteria in the relevant codes, it is aimed to increase the structure to the maximum load carrying capacity level by adding the new criterion “to increase the number of plastic hinges to be formed in the structure as much as possible and to keep the structure below its targeted performance by code”. As a result of the studies conducted according to the new performance criteria presented, the load bearing capacity of the frame bearing system has increased by 50 compared to the current code results.
