Wireless Remote using RF Module

With advanced technology, people try to avail wireless technologies in different roles. In this paper, the RF modules are implemented as modernized wireless system to overcome the use of wire. RF transmitter and RF receiver are main devices of the system. And then LED, transformer, relay, and push buttons are used as supporting components of the system. HT12E and HT12D are mainly used for decoding and encoding the data. The HT12E encoder IC converts the 4 bit data from the 4 data pins that are connected to buttons into serial data. This serial data is sent to RF transmitter. The RF transmitter transmits this serial data using signals. At the receiver side, the RF receiver receives the serial data. This serial data is sent to HT12D decoder IC which converts into 4 bit parallel data. The 4 data pins of decoder are connected to LEDs. According to the button pushed, the LEDs can be turned ON and OFF meaning that the specific task or function can be carried out by mean of remote predefined key. In today's world, there is a continuous need for wireless control using with transmitter and receiver in standard and modern living.

Software Engineering Cost Estimation using COCOMO II Model

Estimating the software cost and price to customer is vital role for software engineering. Accurate Software development cost estimation is important for effective project management such as budgeting project planning and control. Before software development processes begin, software cost and duration for any project should be agreement between developers and customers. In this paper, the effort required to develop the system, schedule needed to complete and the required average staff are estimated by using COCOMO constructive cost model model that is one of the algorithmic models. A mathematical formula is use to predict effort based on estimate of project size, thousands of sources of code KSLOC. First, this KSLOC must be calculated for the exiting project or other projects. Then, the require effort, duration and averaging staffing are continued to calculate for each of three types of projects which are organic, semi detached and embedded All these estimates are implemented with Java Programming Language and Microsoft Access.

The Effect of Dosage and Modulus of Activator on the Strength of Alkali Activated Slag and Fly Ash Based on Geopolymer Mortar

In this study, the effect of dosage and modulus of activator on the strength of alkali activated slag and fly ash based geopolymer mortar is studied. Fly ash from Tingyi is used. Blast furnace slag from No 1 Iron and Steel Industry, Pyin Oo Lwin is used. NaOH and Na2SiO3 are used as alkaline activator. Firstly, the physical properties of slag, fly ash and sand are tested. Alkali activated slag mortar is mixed with various proportion of activator. And the tests are made eight times with different activator dosage for slag mortar. Then the test is made once again without activator. Water slag cement ratio of 0.35 is used for this test. Fly ash based geopolymer mortar is mixed various proportion of activator. And the tests are made eight times with different activator dosage for fly ash based geopolymer mortar. Then the test is made once again without activator. Water fly ash ratio of 0.33 is used for this test. For both testing, samples are cured at 85°C for 24 hours and left at room temperature until the day of testing. The samples are tested for 3, 7, 14 and 28 days compressive strength. Then the compressive strength test results obtained from various dosages of activator and without activator are compared.

Study on Distress Patterns, Causes and Maintenance of Flexible Pavement for Selected Portions

This paper presents the study on flexible pavement distresses and repair techniques in two selected road portions. It is very important to know the flexible pavement distresses and its patterns. Pavement deterioration is serious problem for road and traffic highway sector in Myanmar. Tada U Airport road 6 0 to 8 0 mile and Paleik Tada U road 0 0 to 7 0 mile portions are chosen in this study. The failure patterns are classified depending upon the visual investigation along the study areas and identify the failure patterns of the two selected road portions. Map cracking, depression, corrugation, rutting, longitudinal cracking, pothole, edge failure, crocodile cracking, delamination, raveling and bleeding are found in the selected road portions. Along the selected portions, the pavements are damaged by the effects of weather, organic growth, traffic wear and damages as well as deterioration due to aging, excessive traffic loading of heavy trucks, insufficient pavement thickness, material failure, design faults and construction faults. The required overlay thickness is calculated by using India Road Congress IRC formula. After calculated, Tada U Airport road requires overlay thickness of 6 inches and Paleik Tada U road requires overlay thickness of 5 inches.

Education Facility requirement in Dang district

Education is a constitutional directive. Article 45 of the Directive Principles of the constitution urges all state to provide free and compulsory education for all children until they complete the age of fourteen years' within a period of ten years from the commencement of the constitution. Right to education has been recognized as fundamental right in 83rd constitutional amendment, even then the goal of universal education for all has remained distant dream. The status of education is one of the key indicators of socio economic development and employment opportunities largely depend on the level of education. This paper shows status of existing education facility and gap analysis in the Dangs district of Gujarat state.

Power Flow Control in Power System using Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor TCSC

In modern times, due to the increasing demand for energy as the transmission network expands, the transmission line must operate under a loaded condition and there is a risk of current drain control and voltage instability. This document proposes the control of energy in a network of power supply systems by including TCSC and SVC devices. The TCSC is a series compensated device to reduce the reactance of the transmission line to improve the current through it, while the SVC is a bypass compensated device and improves the voltage profile. This article presents a systematic procedure for modeling and simulation with MATLAB SIMULINK set of blockers for the Simpower system. The optimal location of the TCSC and SVC device is considered for the control of the power flow and the voltage stability limit. The proposed approach is implemented in an 11 state test system model of four two state machines and the simulated result is presented to validate the proposed test case system. In this paper performance of TCSC and SVC, the device is analyzed and compared with the simulated result for better control of the power flow in the power system.

Arduino Based Home Lighting Control by Android Phone

Energy Conservation is the effort made to reduce the consumption of energy by using energy more efficiently. Energy can be conserved by reducing wastage and losses, improving efficiency through technological upgrades. In this thesis, Bluetooth based home lighting control system using Arduino UNO is presented as the good example for energy conservation by applying updated technologies. Bluetooth Module, relays, bulbs, android phone, ardudroid application and power supply are used to complete this system. Not only lighting but also any home appliance can be controlled through the customized smartphone application thanks to the advantages of Bluetooth Wireless Technology. Remote controlled Bluetooth based home lighting control system provides a most modern solution with smartphones. The design is based on mainly a stand alone Arduino BT Board to which home appliances are connected via relays. Password protection is added to protect unauthorized access making a perfect system.
