Application of Scale, Projection and Lettering in Architectural Design

Design consists of ideas and combinations of techniques, elements of design and the use of ideal spatial creation. Balance and Positive combinations of form and functions has to follow certain principles of design and drafting. Design can be successful only when rules for scaling, proportion, light, colour, form and other elements are used tactfully with concepts and proposals. Scale, Projection are the tools which bring into reality the idea created in mind and comes into form when projected according the linear, angular and radial projection rule applied. This paper signifies the role of scale used in drawing various parts, the projections needed to detail out the arts and lettering to make it understandable for the viewer. We discuss here about scale, the need for scale, geometric construction to form the spaces, projections on horizontal and vertical planes defining the whole element.

Significance of Basic Design Elements in Spatial and Cultural Environment of Built Forms

Built form in any Organization carries the essence of any design and doing nothing is also a form of design. Elements of Design needs to be carefully studied and applied to creation of any space. Design sometimes suffers from a dilemma about its identity. It is not solely either an art or a science but is a combination of both. Applied design is not like physics or biology or writing or painting, but it involves these areas and more. Design tends towards a generalized approach, collecting specifics from diverse areas as needed. Design is a combination of art, science, technology and intuition. Design does contain sound proven principals and criteria for judging its success. It is a combination of ideas, methods, deliverables, forms, functions and appearance. These criteria centre on the relationship between human needs and human environmental possible. The measure of the success of a particular applied design is how well it meets the needs of the people experiencing it. This paper discuss about the elements of design and the techniques used to incorporate them in ideal spatial creation. Balance and Positive combinations of form and functions

Strategies for Development of Peri Urban Areas in a Developing Country A Case Study of Bhubaneswar

The world is experiencing a new phenomena – peri urbanism. As the population is increasing and cities are infrastructurally upgraded, there has been a gradual shift of the urban population from the more developed regions to the less developed ones, aimed at availing free open spaces to live, grow and setting up new communities. This movement of urban population in large numbers has led to formation of peri urban spaces. With no such boundary to define the peri urban spaces, these areas are the outskirts of the urban centres which are to be explored. A detailed understanding about the dynamics of urbanisation is necessary for coping with the negative effects poised by urban sprawling on the peri urban areas. Being designated as one of the first smart city of India, Bhubaneswar city is experiencing formation of urban sprawls around the major urban nodes. In order to further examine the need for policy formulation, a detailed study has been done to understand the demographic, economic and social profile of the inhabitants residing within the fringe areas of Bhubaneswar. The emperical approach of the paper is based on the study of the infrastructure and development issues of the area using remote sensing and GIS techniques. The final findings of the study includes the issues, problems and recommendations to be applicable for a planned and controlled development in the peri urban areas of Bhubaneswar.

Accessories of Design

Elements of Design needs to be carefully studied and applied to creation of any space. Design sometimes suffers from a dilemma about combination of Art and its appreciation elements of Design. Light in a house not solely either an art or a science but is a combination of both. Applied design is not like physics or biology or writing or painting, but it involves these areas and more. Design tends towards a generalized approach, collecting specifics from diverse areas as needed. Design is a combination of art, science, technology and intuition. Composition of rhythm Balance, Contrast and light in a built space plays an important role in the functioning and feeling of an space. Apart from the basic design elements there is always an added feature associated with the design and it is termed as accessories. This added feature may be a kind of light. Colour, shade, Proportion, Shape or anything else added which elaborates the whoe design and makes it’s a unique combination of Aesthetics and utility. Lustrous, Luminous, rendered and graphical applications to basic deisgn create a balance and harmony within the space and its surrounding. This paper discuss about the Visual element of design as an accessory in accordance with luminance and Lustrous element which when added make the Design different from the others. and the techniques used to incorporate them in ideal spatial creation. Balance and Positive combinations of form and functions

Importance of Basic Principles of Design in Creating Spaces

Organization is the essence of any design and doing nothing is also a form of design. When it is an applied design, it is hazardous to design by neglect and default. Basic Design does contain sound proven principals and criteria for judging its success. These criteria centre on the relationship between human needs and human environmental possible with very basic elements used to derive solutions and paces as per human comfort. The measure of the success of a particular applied design is how well it meets the needs of the people experiencing it. Basic principles are mandatory to be learned, understood and used wisely to make the best contribution the process of Designing. This paper is an attempt to focus on explaining design with point, line plane and Volume.

Education Facility requirement in Dang district

Education is a constitutional directive. Article 45 of the Directive Principles of the constitution urges all state to provide free and compulsory education for all children until they complete the age of fourteen years' within a period of ten years from the commencement of the constitution. Right to education has been recognized as fundamental right in 83rd constitutional amendment, even then the goal of universal education for all has remained distant dream. The status of education is one of the key indicators of socio economic development and employment opportunities largely depend on the level of education. This paper shows status of existing education facility and gap analysis in the Dangs district of Gujarat state.
