Analysis of Imbalanced Classification Algorithms A Perspective View

Classification of data has become an important research area. The process of classifying documents into predefined categories Unbalanced data set, a problem often found in real world application, can cause seriously negative effect on classification performance of machine learning algorithms. There have been many attempts at dealing with classification of unbalanced data sets. In this paper we present a brief review of existing solutions to the class-imbalance problem proposed both at the data and algorithmic levels. Even though a common practice to handle the problem of imbalanced data is to rebalance them artificially by oversampling and or under-sampling, some researchers proved that modified support vector machine, rough set based minority class oriented rule learning methods, cost sensitive classifier perform good on imbalanced data set. We observed that current research in imbalance data problem is moving to hybrid algorithms.

Reactive Power Compensation with Fuzzy Logic in Electrical Facilities

The inductive loads fed by the electrical installations are reflected as an additional load by pulling the reactive power from the mains. Inductive loads are an important and useful parameter in the formation of rotating field of motors, formation of magnetic field in transformers. However, it is a harmful parameter that decreases blackness in transmission and distribution lines. Therefore, in large-scale power plants, reactive power requirements are provided by compensator systems connected to the input terminals. Continuous control equipment and systems need to be developed to improve the continuity and efficiency of energy systems.

In this study, reactive power compensation, fuzzy logic-controlled application was made. Thus, power factor correction, dynamic voltage control are provided, power transmission capacities of the transmission lines and losses caused by reactive power flow are minimized. However, the fact that this compensator system is not linear makes it difficult to mathematically model them by using system based control systems based on fuzzy logic theory. In this study, without a mathematical model of the system, a control process based on fuzzy logic applied to the result was realized by using the effective relationship between system output and input. Performance Analysis of CIR and Path Loss Propagation Models in the Downlink of 3G Systems

This paper analyses the Carrier to Interference Ratio CIR and path Loss PL variation in downlink 3G FDD-UMTS mobile system. The evaluation was taken in urban, suburban and rural environments. Also, frequency band of 2110 Hz is used in this work. The received CIR analysis is based on comparative study of seven Path Loss propagation models COST- 231 Hata, COST-231 WIM Walfisch-Ikegami Model , SUI Stanford University Interim , FSM Free Space Model , PSM Standard propagation model , Ecricsson and ECC33 Electronic Communication Committee . Simulation results show that SUI and SPM models showed the lowest Path Loss for all environments. Also, we can show that received CIR is affected not only by the geometry of the UMTS base station location but also by the number of users presented in each cell. Multi-Response Parameter Optimization Hardness and Unevenness Effect of Hardox Cutting Plate by High Tolerance Plasma Arc Cutting System

High Tolerance Plasma Arc Cutting System 12mm plate thickness Hardox has been cut by high tolerance plasma arc cutting machine and the unevenness of cutting has been investigated. According to the experimental results, it has been seen that burning of particulars and distribution amount were increased when the cutting was performed measured the speeds. Moreover, it has been noticed that the change the speed which affects the cutting width of plate also change the unevenness of plate with cutting speed. in this study is that quality of the cut can be improved by means of a proper selection of cutting speed . The aim is to see how the cutting system and speed affect material structure up to what depth, it was determined that the hardness from the outer surface to the core decreased, while the hardness near to the outer surface which affected by the high temperature occurred during cutting increased.

Study on Behaviour of Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Composites

This paper highlights the material properties of the Bendable concrete for the effective development of new structures and maintenance of existing structures. The material researchers have conducted a lot of experiments based on sustainability, durability and safety point of view. As a result of the attempts, finally a new material was established in the last decade. The proper selection of the fibre, mixing of the composite exhibit strain hardening and multiple cracking behaviour of the material.

The strain hardening behaviour of the Bendable concrete gives significant advantage under flexural loading. The crack width developed under loading is very small when compared with conventional concrete due to the bridging effect of the fibre. The material properties of Bendable concrete reinforced with following 0.5 , 1.0 , 1.5 , 2 of steel fibre and 0.1 , 0.15 , 0.2 , 0.25 of polypropylene fibre. The optimum strength attained at 1.0 of steel fibre and 0.1 of polypropylene fibre and has been claimed to be the most promising proportion of the fibre content. A series of experiments were carried out to determine the compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural characteristics of Bendable concrete.

Experimental Study on Performance of Gap Graded Concrete using Partial Replacement of Titanium Dioxide and Msand

This paper reports an experimental investigation on the development of Gap graded concrete providing the optimal combination of strength and water permeability using M sand and admixtures. In this study, the Gap graded concrete is obtained by removing the fine aggregate wholly 0 , 5 , 10 and 15 of replacing coarse aggregate with M sand. The titanium dioxide is used as partial replacement to cement to study its behavior on mechanical properties of Gap graded concrete.

Gap graded concrete trial mixes with different size of aggregate, with and without fine aggregates. Tested for its mechanical properties such as compressive strength, water permeability, and porosity. Gap graded concrete is a porous concrete which allows water and air to pass through it. The Gap graded concrete specimen of cube size of 150mm x 150mm x 150mm and they were cured in water for the period of 7, 14, 28 days. The compressive strength test and permeability is done in laboratory after curing. Then the compressive strength of Gap graded concrete is compared to the compressive strength of M20grade of concrete.

Analysis of Tunnel Form Building Retrofitted with CFRP using Finite Element Method

Many regions where have the earthquake risk around the world, many buildings in developing countries are ineffective in front of earthquake forces. Recent years, the fabrics which are strengthening with carbon fiber-reinforced polymer CFRP have become a very common material to strengthen the reinforced concrete buildings. In our country, mostly column jacketing and partition systems are used. They are also followed with steel jacketing and trussed steel joist systems.

Reinforcement with composites named FRP fiber-reinforced polymer are getting common slowly by slowly in our country. Since fibers are high-tensile steel, they increase the strength of joist and covering deflection. If it is used in the direction of tensile, it also saves the strength for shearing. In this study,1 mm CFRP hardware is applied to the each covering of a 16-floor reinforced concrete building which is made with tunnel formwork system. In this analysis done with SAP2000 program, increase in the frequency of a reinforced concrete building is observed structure which has less in cycle is appeared. These results show us that CFRP hardware's make and 38 increase in the rigid of structure.
