Multi-Response Parameter Optimization Hardness and Unevenness Effect of Hardox Cutting Plate by High Tolerance Plasma Arc Cutting System

High Tolerance Plasma Arc Cutting System 12mm plate thickness Hardox has been cut by high tolerance plasma arc cutting machine and the unevenness of cutting has been investigated. According to the experimental results, it has been seen that burning of particulars and distribution amount were increased when the cutting was performed measured the speeds. Moreover, it has been noticed that the change the speed which affects the cutting width of plate also change the unevenness of plate with cutting speed. in this study is that quality of the cut can be improved by means of a proper selection of cutting speed . The aim is to see how the cutting system and speed affect material structure up to what depth, it was determined that the hardness from the outer surface to the core decreased, while the hardness near to the outer surface which affected by the high temperature occurred during cutting increased.

Study on Behaviour of Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Composites

This paper highlights the material properties of the Bendable concrete for the effective development of new structures and maintenance of existing structures. The material researchers have conducted a lot of experiments based on sustainability, durability and safety point of view. As a result of the attempts, finally a new material was established in the last decade. The proper selection of the fibre, mixing of the composite exhibit strain hardening and multiple cracking behaviour of the material.

The strain hardening behaviour of the Bendable concrete gives significant advantage under flexural loading. The crack width developed under loading is very small when compared with conventional concrete due to the bridging effect of the fibre. The material properties of Bendable concrete reinforced with following 0.5 , 1.0 , 1.5 , 2 of steel fibre and 0.1 , 0.15 , 0.2 , 0.25 of polypropylene fibre. The optimum strength attained at 1.0 of steel fibre and 0.1 of polypropylene fibre and has been claimed to be the most promising proportion of the fibre content. A series of experiments were carried out to determine the compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural characteristics of Bendable concrete.

Experimental Study on Performance of Gap Graded Concrete using Partial Replacement of Titanium Dioxide and Msand

This paper reports an experimental investigation on the development of Gap graded concrete providing the optimal combination of strength and water permeability using M sand and admixtures. In this study, the Gap graded concrete is obtained by removing the fine aggregate wholly 0 , 5 , 10 and 15 of replacing coarse aggregate with M sand. The titanium dioxide is used as partial replacement to cement to study its behavior on mechanical properties of Gap graded concrete.

Gap graded concrete trial mixes with different size of aggregate, with and without fine aggregates. Tested for its mechanical properties such as compressive strength, water permeability, and porosity. Gap graded concrete is a porous concrete which allows water and air to pass through it. The Gap graded concrete specimen of cube size of 150mm x 150mm x 150mm and they were cured in water for the period of 7, 14, 28 days. The compressive strength test and permeability is done in laboratory after curing. Then the compressive strength of Gap graded concrete is compared to the compressive strength of M20grade of concrete.

Analysis of Tunnel Form Building Retrofitted with CFRP using Finite Element Method

Many regions where have the earthquake risk around the world, many buildings in developing countries are ineffective in front of earthquake forces. Recent years, the fabrics which are strengthening with carbon fiber-reinforced polymer CFRP have become a very common material to strengthen the reinforced concrete buildings. In our country, mostly column jacketing and partition systems are used. They are also followed with steel jacketing and trussed steel joist systems.

Reinforcement with composites named FRP fiber-reinforced polymer are getting common slowly by slowly in our country. Since fibers are high-tensile steel, they increase the strength of joist and covering deflection. If it is used in the direction of tensile, it also saves the strength for shearing. In this study,1 mm CFRP hardware is applied to the each covering of a 16-floor reinforced concrete building which is made with tunnel formwork system. In this analysis done with SAP2000 program, increase in the frequency of a reinforced concrete building is observed structure which has less in cycle is appeared. These results show us that CFRP hardware's make and 38 increase in the rigid of structure.

Experimental Study on "Risk Management in Residential Building Project"

Risk can be described as the absence of information when a decision is to be made at any time throughout a process. The construction industry is often considered as complex and defragmented due to working in a project based format with a unique product and a process where there are times when decisions need to be made with insufficient information. Therefore, proper risk management processes can be vital to minimizing risks, maximizing opportunities and securing a successful project

process This master thesis has been conducted at a large Swedish construction company that houses both a constructing unit and a residential development unit. Consequently, the focus of this thesis has been on analysing the risk management process when a residential project is both developed and constructed by the same company. The purpose of this master thesis is to describe and analyse risk management in a project based organization within the construction industry. The thesis aims to provide a better understanding of how risk management is used in practice but also what underlying factors that can affect risk management processes. The study will include both the perspective of the developer and the constructor as well as their separate and joint processes facilitating risk management. In regards to the purpose of this thesis, a general risk management model has been used to provide a framework for analysis. This model consists of four steps risk identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation and risk monitoring.

Electrical Properties of Enamel Wire Insulation

Adjustable speed drives for rotating machines have become increasingly popular as they provide possibilities of smooth and accurate process control as well as for energy savings. In such systems, due to the fact that the voltage applied at terminals of motor windings is no longer purely sinusoidal but characterized by a high content of harmonics, the appearing electrical and thermal stresses yield premature failures of the winding insulation, mainly because of an increased partial discharge PD activity.

To tackle the problem effectively, PD-resistant enamels have been developed, by introducing various inorganic fillers into the base polymer of the wire insulation, that exhibit an increased resistance to PD activity. The effect seems, in most of the cases, to be strongly dependent on the dielectric properties of the filler used and the degree of interactions with the host materials.

To elucidate the effect of material properties on the PD behavior, the presented in this thesis study concentrates on electrical characterizations of the new enamel insulation by measuring and analyzing its electric conductivity and complex dielectric permittivity and comparing these parameters with of the properties of enamel without the filler. The performed analyses show that the addition of filler results in a highly conductive and dispersive material, as compared to the base enamel.

As a consequence, the top coating layer of the enamel wire insulation activates suppression of PD activity, while the insulating properties of the bulk material are kept unchanged.. The material conductivity is increased because of enhancement of charge carrier mobility as well as a shift of the maximum of trap density distributions towards lower energy levels.

Intelligent Agriculture Mechanism using Internet of Things and Image Processing

This project presents a novel idea of detection and classification of leaf diseases and soil Moisture Level. It is difficult for human eyes to identify the exact type of leaf disease which occurs on the leaf of plant. Thus, in order to identify the leaf diseases accurately, the use of image processing and machine learning techniques can be helpful. The images used for this work were acquired from the field using digital camera. In pre-processing step, background removal technique is applied on the image in order to remove background from the image. Then, the background removed images are further processed for image segmentation using Otsu thresholding technique.

Different segmented images will be used for extracting the features such as color, shape and texture from the images. At last, these extracted features will be used as inputs of classifier. Leaf diseases cause significant damage and economic losses in crops. Subsequently, reduction in leaf diseases by early diagnosis results in substantial improvement in quality of the product. Erroneous diagnosis of disease and its severity leads to inappropriate use of pesticides.

The goal of proposed work is to diagnose the disease using image processing of plant leaf. In the proposed system, leaf image with complex background is taken as input. Thresholding is deployed to mask green pixels and image is processed to remove noise using anisotropic diffusion. Then leaf disease segmentation is done. The diseased portion from segmented images is identified. The purpose of this project is to developed our irrigation system, to make it automated and smart irrigation system.

There are many countries where economy is depends on agriculture and the climatic conditions lead to lack of rains. The farmers working in the farm lands are dependent on the rains and bore wells. Even if the farm land has a water-pump, manual involvement by farmers is required to turn the pump on off when on earth needed.

The main purpose of this project is to measuring the moisture of agricultural soils by real-time method and to minimize this manual involvement by the farmer, which is why we are using a micro-controller. The sensor senses the amount of moisture present in the soil and presents an output in the form of resistance .If resistance is high then water is present in soil. Also we used another sensor to measure water level of well.
