Design and Analysis of a Girder Bridge for Highway Structures Using Sap 2000

In this study, a comparative study supported two differing types of bridges i.e. Deck type and Pre stressed deck type using finite element analysis in SAP 2000 is ready , considering same loading class 70 R as per I.R.C. loading. During this study well also prepare a price analysis of both the structures using S.O.R. C.P.W.D. 2014. This sort of bridges is more preferred when it involves connectivity to short distances. So, its necessary to update the analysis and style methods. Here, during this paper, theres an effort to review the comparison of maximum bending moment thanks to super load during a girder and slab bridge an equivalent bridge is analyzed as a three dimensional model in finite element software as SAP2000, apply an equivalent loading finished conventional methods and compared the results. The utmost bending moment results obtained from finite element model.

Limit States Solution to CSCS Orthotropic Thin Rectangular Plate Carrying Transverse Loads

The analysis of thin rectangular orthotropic plate with two opposite edges clamped and the other two opposite edges simply supported CSCS , carrying transverse loads was investigated in this study. The Ritz total potential energy functional was used. The minimization of the total potential energy functional produces the expression for the coefficient of deflection. The coefficient of deflection was used to obtain equation for the maximum lateral load of an orthotropic thin rectangular plate based on allowable deflection. Also, equation for the maximum lateral load of an orthotropic thin rectangular plate based on allowable stress was developed.Developed stiffness coefficients were substituted in the lateral load equations to obtain the maximum lateral load values for a CSCS plate. Numerical examples using permissible deflection of 10mm and yield strength of 250MPa, plate thickness varying from 5mm to 12.5 mm with 0.5mm intervals were done to determine the maximum lateral loads corresponding to an orthotropic thin rectangular CSCS plate carrying transverse loads when n1 = Ey Ex = 0.7 and n2 = G Ex = 0.41 for aspect ratios b a of 1.0, 1.25 and 1.50.

Design of Transformer less Single Phase Inverter

Solar energy is the top of all renewable energy systems because of its pollution free, adaptable, long life, low maintenance cost and favoured options for sustainable development. Thus, this is used as the source of input for this model. The PV cell converts the solar energy into electrical energy. This energy is in DC form. This DC voltage is raised to the desired level with the help of boost converter dc dc converter .The boost converter is driven with the help of MOSFET. The boosted DC voltage is fed to the PWM inverter which converts the dc input into ac output. And finally, the output is given to the load. The proposed inverter system converts DC power into single phase AC power efficiently without using transformers and batteries. In this, the simulation results of a transformer less single phase inverter which uses a photovoltaic array as the input are shown. An inverter with DC link is designed for conversion of DC input into AC supply. The simulation is carried out with the help of MATLAB simulation software. The harmonic distortion is found to be 2.73 in the FFT analysis.

Investigation of Effective Use of Cotton Yarn in Knitting

The article represent the results of researching opportunities to use a cotton yarn with a Lycra yarn instead of filament in the knitwear producing. For this investigation were knitted most common knitted stitches plain supreme , rib ribana and interlock using synthetic polyester yarns, cotton yarns and cotton yarns adding a Lycra thread.

Joining of Dual Phase Coated Steel Sheets DP600

Currently, high strength steels are increasingly used in the production of car bodies. Car manufacturers choose steel with good formability, fatigue resistance, and the ability to absorb impact energy. DP dual phase steels verify the specific criteria mentioned above. Resistance spot welding is one of the most common methods of joining high strength dual phase steels. The paper focuses on the comparison of the properties of joints made by resistance spot welding. Selected properties were investigated by tensile test and metallographic observations. HCT600X Z and HCT600X ZF steel sheets were used for the experiments.

Mechanical Behaviour of AA 6061-Ca2SiO3 Composite

The advantage of composite materials over non alloy virgin metals has been on the front burner in the engineering materials sphere. To this ends, various reinforcement materials are constantly been mixed with metal matrix to form new composite materials. Ca2SiO3 is a ceramic material which finds application in medicine, heat and noise insulation, acid remediation, cement production etc. since it possesses qualities needed for the formation of composites, and is largely not researched on, this study aimed to characterize the mechanical properties of the AA 6061 Ca2SiO3 composite for different composition of percentage mix, and to establish a model that would predict the UTS for known values of percentage mix and load. Result of the study shows that 6 Ca2SiO3 - 94 AA 6061 and 24 Ca2SiO3 - 76 AA 6061 possessed the highest modulus of elasticity and are stiffer while 2 Ca2SiO3 - 98 AA 6061 mix had the lowest modulus of elasticity, and is more ductile than other composition mix. Also, it was observed that addition of Ca2SiO3 to AA 6061 T4 greatly improves its mechanical properties and96.43 of the variations in stress experienced by various percentage composition of the composite mix can be explained by the developed model.

Separate Conductors for AC and DC Supply

AC and DC supplies are ruling in this present electricity world. Involvement of both AC and DC supply can be seen from small circuits to big giant machineries. But is there conductor separation needed for both distinguish supply forms Are we wasting time, money and materials by using same conductors for both dissimilar supplies In my opinion, it is the right time to take decision to separate conductors for both rulers.
