A Research on To Study The Characteristic Behaviour of Concrete Using Rice Husk Ash and Sugarcane Bagasse Ash

In the last decades, the use of residue in civil construction, especially in addition concrete, has been subject of many researches due to, besides to reduce the environmental polluters factors, it may lead several improvements of the concrete properties. The world rice harvest is estimated in 600 million tons per year. Considering that 22 of the grain is husk, and 22 A part from this, extraction of natural aggregates This report evaluates how different contents of rice husk ash RHA added to concrete may influence its physical and mechanical properties. Samples with dimensions and generation of industrial, agricultural and domestic waste also leads to environment degradation. The use of these waste materials not only helps to reduce the use of natural resources also helps to mitigate the environment pollution. The basic objective of this research is to investigate the effect of Waste Rice Husk RHA as partial replacement of fine aggregates and Sugarcane Bagasse ash Ash SCBA as partial replacement of cement in concrete. This research work examined the potential use of Sugarcane Bagasse ash Ash SCBA as apartial replacement material. SCBA has been partially replaced in the ratio of 0 , 10 ,20 and 30 with and without addition of steel fibre by weight of cement in concrete. M25 Grade of concrete were adopted throughout the study This study primarily deals with the characteristics of concrete, including compressive strength, workability and thermal stability of all concrete mixes at elevated temperature. Twenty five mixes of concrete were prepared at different replacement levels of RHA 0 , 10 , 20 , 30 and 40 with fine aggregates and SCBA 0 , 5 , 10 , 15 and 20 with cement. The water cement ratio in all the mixes was keptat 0.55. The workability of concrete was tested immediately after preparing the concrete whereas the compressive strength of concrete was tested after 28 and 60 days of curing. Based on the test results, a combination of 10 RHA and 10 SCBA is the most significant for high strength and economical concrete. This research also indicates that the contribution of RHA and SCBA doesn’t change the thermal properties of concrete.

Performance Evaluation of Flat Slab by Varying Percentage of Infill Wall in RC Building

In the zone of high seismicity the ordinary chunks are gotten uneconomical due increment in plan prerequisite to handle extra seismic burdens. The utilization of profound shafts, expanded segment areas and so forth prompted expensive edge work. In addition workmanship infill divider impact isnt fused in the plan of traditional section building outlines, which prompted perilous or uneconomical plan. These boards are utilized to fill holes between the casings of building. The level pieces are the beamless casing having lower horizontal solidness, high story float, and are more adaptable. In any case, these are more defenseless to disappointment under seismic activity. Thus to keep away from the disappointment of level chunk structure under seismic activity, some parallel opposition basic components are utilized so as to build firmness, lessen story float, horizontal relocation along these lines improving the sidelong obstruction of the framework. In the current examination an endeavor is made to break down and study the different multi celebrated fortified solid level piece building outlines with a few level of infill divider thinking about the sidelong opposition of level sections by assessing boundaries, exposed to seismic stacking. Various level piece building outlines are investigated by fluctuating the level of infill divider 0 , half, 80 and 100 to assess boundaries influenced by the expansion of infill divider in the level section. The outcomes got by examination are utilized to study and look at the impacts of variable rates of infill divider on the sidelong obstruction of level chunks by shifting story tallness. The few boundaries are thought about for the horizontal opposition evaluation of level chunks. The impact of stone work infill divider on level piece outline in concentrated as far as a few boundaries for the sidelong obstruction of the level chunk under seismic activities.

Dynamic Analysis of Steel Structure with Bracings and Dampers under Wind and Earthquake Loads

In India residents are increasing gradually and the necessary land for living. It is a key requirement to survive anywhere. For that reason multi story building are best choice for construction in Metro cities where a smaller amount of property is presented. As designer knows multi story structure provides large floor area in small area and it is beneficial also. Hence, it is required to assemble high rise structure. If high rise structures are constructed than many structural troubles come to pass, such as lateral load effect, lateral displacement and stiffness etc. Normally for high rise structure wind and earth quake load effects are prevailing. In the present study, a 15 storey building is considered. The structure is subjected to both wind and dynamic loadings. The Modelling and analysis are carried out using ETABS software. The structure is further stabilized by providing the Bracing system and Viscous Dampers. The performance of these structures is studied and compared using various parameters such as displacement, storey drift, base shear and time period. The results are extracted and conclusions are drawn.

IoT Based Infrared Remote Controlled AC Fan Regulator

This paper presents the design and implementation of an infrared remote controlled ac fan regulator. The regulator consists of IR sensor, monostable multi vibrator, decade counter, transformer, comparator, opto isolator and TRIAC. The user will be able to operate the regulator with any remote control used for TV, VCR, Air Conditioner, DVD player etc. The remote transmits a beam of light and this light is picked and decoded by the receiver unit. The receiver only activates when it receives the beam of light. Every time when the button is pressed, the speed of the fan is increased smoothly up to ten different speed levels. The fan regulator has been simulated and experimentally tested. It is found that the system works satisfactorily and the experimental results are almost same. Details of each unit are described in the paper.

Stabilization of Clayey Soil by using Quarry Dust Particles

The Stabilization of soil is important in construction of foundations and highways as it improves the Engineering properties of soil like Compressibility, Permeability and Shear Strength. In this paper the experimental results obtained in the laboratory on expansive soil treated with low cost material quarry dust are presented. A study is carried out to check the improvements in the properties of expansive soil with addition of quarry dust in different percentages. The test results for as Atterberg’s limit, compaction characteristics, differential Free Swelling Index, Unconfined Compressive Strength obtained from the tests on expansive clays mixed with different proportions of quarry dust as an admixture are presented and discussed in this paper. It is observed that the stabilized clay has reduced the Swelling and increased the maximum dry density. In present study, the soil samples prepared with addition of ceramic waste by 5 , 10 ,15 ,20 and 25 Quarry Dust At those OMC, several tests like CBR, UCS, Consolidations tests were conducted. CBR test was carried in both un soaked and soaked conditions variation of ceramic waste has been used to modify their engineering properties and index properties of a black cotton soil.

Effect of Lime and Sisal Fibre on Volume Change and Compressibility Change in Expansive Soils

Soil improvement is of significant worry in the development exercises because of fast development of urbanization and industrialization. Particularly far reaching soils are overall tricky soil which is related with huge volume change conduct when it experiences an adjustment in the water content. Among those, dark cotton soil are one sort of far reaching soils and they shows high swell shrinkage conduct attributable to fluctuating water content. In India, dark cotton soil covers as high as 20 of the complete land zone and significantly in focal and south India. In the event that it ought to be utilized as establishment material, Improvement of soil should be finished by receiving different strategies like soil adjustment, support and so forth. Use of locally accessible admixtures is successful regarding simple versatility and economy. In present examination, the dirt examples arranged with expansion of sisal filaments by 0.25 , 0.5 , 0.75 , and 1 at 4 lime as steady added substance. The normal length of sisal fiber is going to use in this examination is around 10 15mm. From the start, Optimum Moisture Content OMC was resolved through delegate test. At those OMC, a few tests like CBR, UCS, Consolidations tests were directed. CBR test was conveyed in both un splashed and doused condition and Consolidation characters are additionally improved for all examples.
