A Research on the Behaviour of Concrete by Partially Replacement of Cement with Sugarcane Bagasse

We are well aware that the production of cement does a lot of harm to the environment. It includes tons of similar carbon emissions from other chemicals. Research has shown that every ton of cement output releases half a ton of carbon dioxide, so the need to regulate the use of cement is immediate. For example, Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash is hard to arrange on the hand materials squanders which is consequently ecological danger. The Bagasse debris gives concrete strong early cohesion, and also decreases cement porousness. During hydration, the silica present in the Bagasse debris reacts with concrete segments and gives extra properties such as chloride opposition, erosion obstruction and so on. Using Bagasse debris in concrete thus decreases the ecological pollution as well as improves the properties of cement and thus decreases the quality. This undertaking manages for the most part to substitute concrete with Bagasse debris in defined degree and to test the mixed cement on SCBA. The solid blend formed by fluctuating the Bagasse debris differential extent at 0 percent, 10 percent, 15 percent, 20 percent, 30 , 40 percent. The test result shows that the consistency of solid increases up to 10 per cent Sugar stick bagasse debris with concrete supplanting.

Enumeration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems for Pneumatic Actuated Knife Gate Valves with Fail Safe Systems

Any flow line has a specific intent. As a result of accurate input of various parameters like flow rate, flow temperature and so on, the intended chemical reactions or other output actions can be carried out successfully. Energy is a basic requirement to initiate, sustain and conclude a flow. This energy can be in various forms and it is a system requirement to supply continuous energy to ensure energy conversion with minimum entropy change. While planning a project, these considerations need greater attention as a part of risk assessment considering unlikely events like failure of electrical power or any other source of energy. This paves way to design of systems considering fail safe conditions. Supervisory control and data acquisition systems can add an additional dimension to the effectiveness of these systems. This paper intends to highlight enumeration of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition system for various fail safe systems considering various conditions. A number of possibilities emerging from the three types of failures namely electric current, air supply and a combination of both have been considered to satisfy the three fail safe conditions of fail to open, fail to close and fail to stay put. A conclusion shall be drawn thereafter to get a generalized idea of the design of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition systems for fail safe systems.

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems for Pneumatic and Electrical Actuated Knife Gate Valves

Automation in all fields is picking up pace due to its inherent ability to complete a given piece of work much quickly and efficiently as compared to manual work which although skilled, requires greater lead time and may lead to reduction in productivity. Industries which are mainly concerned with energy conversion are obsessed with the maximum utilization of the exergy to get the most efficient outputs. Technological advancement in the field of mechatronics and microprocessors has led to continuous up gradation in the systems that govern and control such applications. Valves are an integral part of any flow system. In order to have a wider control over operations of large energy conversion units, supervisory control and data acquisition systems are employed. This paper shall consider scope of the same for applications employing actuated Knife Gate Valves. The actuation considered shall be pneumatic type which generally comprises of a double acting pneumatic cylinder. Considerations for controls and data acquisition shall be done for pneumatic circuit accessories like solenoid operated direction control valves of various types, limit switches, proximity switches and electro pneumatic positioners with an initial explanation of role and working of each. A conclusion shall be drawn thereafter regarding the employability of knife gate valves with supervisory control and data acquisition systems.

Analysis and Design of Residential Building G 1 using STAAD Pro

The development lately are far than the reach thanks to developing status that our country India holds. With development of country, development of residential buildings takes place. In this paper the planning of residential building is completed with limit state analysis. Limit state method may be a great way to achieve strength of structure with low cost when compare to other design synopsis. The modelling and analysis of the structure is done by using STAAD. Pro 2007, and the designing was done manually. Practical knowledge is an important and vital skill required by every engineer. Then the design follows with different types of loading conditions with different cases of rooms and position of rooms. The Plan is made by AUTOCAD 2018. After plotting the design, analysis is made with the help of STAAD Pro software and the results found out to be same.

IoT Based Water Level Meter for Alerting Population about Floods

The most important thing before, during and after a disaster is the dissemination of information, the deployment of IoT enabled devices Internet of Things which can bring benefits in terms of providing people with the right decision making information in the face of this disaster. In this paper, we introduce a sensor for measuring water quality in rivers, lakes, ponds and streams. To prove our idea, weve developed a pilot project using a small scale model used for water based sensors based on an open circuit that meets water and is tested horizontally in a water container under a controlled environment.

Optimization of Heat Transfer Process Parameters for Heat Sink using CFD

As secondary source of heat transfer, heat sinks are primarily used. Heat generated by various equipments is first transferred to heat sink via conduction, after that heat is transferred to the environment. Heat sinks are thus used to maintain temperature of equipments under desirable range. CFD has recently emerged as an effective tool to judge performance of any equipment in design phase. CFD can also be used for design optimisation of heat sink also. In the present work, CFD analysis of heat sink has been carried out to find out the effect of change in air velocity. Effect of different materials used for the construction of heat sink on heat transfer aluminium alloys that is AA 6063, AA 6061, AA 6060 and AA 1050 has been carried out. It has been found that material AA 1050 shows the maximum heat transfer as compared to other materials. The work has also been carried out for various thicknesses of base metals. It has been found that heat sink having 10 mm base thickness has maximum heat transfer.

A Research on Polymer Modified Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Bagasse

This research describes the results of using modified concrete made from steel fibers in Styrene Butadiene Rubber SBR . The study reported the different characteristics and compressive strength of latex reinforced steel fibre modified concrete. Latex modified concrete is known as portland cement and combined with polymers dispersed in water when mixed. This is considered a resin dispersion. Polymers such as natural rubber concrete latex increase resistance to carbonation and penetration of chloride. Polymer can boost properties such as higher strength and lower water permeability than standard concrete when used as an admixture. Because of a low strength level of concrete, steel fibers have been applied to concrete to enhance its stress characteristics. The concrete specimens of polymers were cast and tested to enhance certain mechanical and physical properties, such as friction, tensile strengths, bending strengths and operation efficiency. For our work, we used Styrene Butadiene rubber latex polymer and hooked end steel fibers. At an interval of 0,5 , the percentage of steel fibers used was 0 percent, 0,5 , 1 percent. In percentage 5 percent, 10 percent, 15 percent, was taken from the steel fiber produced best and latex produced maximum power. 24 beam 500 mm X 100 mm X 100 mm is made of a total of 24 cubes, 150 mm x 150 mm X 150 mm . Checking of hardened concrete characteristics at 28th days. Few SFRC applications in the irrigation systems. Polymer modified steel reinforced concrete is very resistant to weathering, so it is commonly used in pavement lying.
