Agrithozhan - Development of Android Application for Smart Farming

The main objective of this project is to develop a Farm Field Monitoring System which will measure soil pH and suggest suitable as well as Demand crop to get better yield. This system will also predict the weather and intimate soil moisture levels to help the farmers to cultivate the proper crop and monitor their own Land. This project will give the whole data about the farm cultivation. With help of this project farmers gets much relief in farm cultivation and the growth of crops will be monitored continuously. With the sensed pH value best Suitable Crops for the corresponding farm field are predicted using predefined dataset and Demand crop will be sorted from those crops and with the sensed temperature and humidity values Weather in the farm field is also Intimated in three levels as "Normal Weather", "Chances of Rain" and "Too hot". Soil Moisture Level is also measured with moisture sensor and converted into three levels as Low, Medium and High. The validated data are sent to the cloud using IOT Internet of Things module and Intimated to the farmer using customized Android Application, including the time at when it was performed. If the soil Moisture level is indicated as Low or High, using Customized android application the Pumping Motor connected to the system can be turned ON or OFF from anywhere in the world using Internet.

Design and Simulation of Smart Antenna for D2D Communication

Device to Device D2D communication allows user devices to directly communicate with each other. D2D using smart antenna will reduce the interference and also reduce the power with respect to distance between the devices. This D2D communication generates directional signal transmission between D2D pairs and reduces the interference between other users. This study also proposes the study of 4x4 MIMO microstrip patch antenna for 5G cellular network. This antenna operates at the frequency of 3.3 4.2 GHZ and its resonant frequency is 3.75GHZ. Rogers RO4350B lossy with thickness of 0.101mm and dielectric constant has been used as the antenna substrate. The simulations results shows that the proposed antenna design and it explains about the beam forming concepts that provides the need of D2D communication for 5G application. The antenna is steered to particular direction with the help of beam forming algorithm. This shows that such scheme improves the system capacity compared to the traditional one by focusing it in a desired direction. This method will provide security to the data, increases the network efficiency, consume less power and traffic made by the signals is reduced.

Alleviation of Piping of Soil using Human Hair Fibres

Piping is a subsurface type of disintegration which includes the expulsion of subsurface soils in pipe like channels to a break exit. It principally happens in generally loose soils with high porousness. Henceforth, successful countermeasures are required and soil reinforcements as support strategy is valuable in this application. Past examinations have reasoned that piping resistance of soil increments, when blending short fibres to successfully confine soil particle movement. In this venture an exertion is made to utilize bountifully accessible, characteristic waste Human Hair Fibers HHF as soil fortifications and the impact of the same when discretely and randomly distributed on the piping conduct of soil are inspected. The experimental tests for piping using human hair fibres were carried out for different fiber contents 0.
5, 1.0, and 1.5 and fiber lengths 2,3,4,and 5 cm . The critical hydraulic gradient and piping resistance for each soil sample were calculated and compared to find the most effective combination of fibre length and content.

Stabilization of Black Cotton Soil using GGBS Ground Granulated Blast Furnace and Slag

The Black Cotton soils occurs mostly in the central and western parts and covers approximately 20 of the total area of India. Because of its high swelling and shrinkage characteristic, The Black Cotton soil have been a challenge to the highway engineers. The Black Cotton soil is very hard when dry, but loses strength completely when in wet condition. It is observed that on drying, The Black Cotton soil develops cracks at varying depth, It is a well known fact that water is the worst enemy of road pavement, perticularly inexpensive soil areas cause of road failure that water has got easy access into the pavement. A Literature review has been presented that has given me the somewhat direction and point of investigation in the different correlation methods of soil properties. It has also given the effect of various soil properties on CBR value. Experimental Work shows the different types of experiments to be performed to evaluate various soil properties. These properties are Grain Size Analysis, Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit, Plasticity Index, Shrinkage Limit, Maximum Dry Density, Optimum Moisture Content, CBR value. It also shows the summary report of results of various experiment performed on the number of soil sample. Now we are added some material that improve the soil strength so we can used in road pavement consruction. we added GGBS Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag material to stabilize the black cotton soil we are added suitable proportion of GGBS material in the soil proportion are 3 ,6 ,9 and 12 and to check at what proportion we get best result. So we started performing test and analysis the result. GGBS Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag has usually used as stabilizer for developing the engineering properties of soil. GGBS is a byproduct generaed during manufacturing of iron and steel. The GGBS is environmental and ecofriendly by product. GGBS improve the engineering properties and stabilized the soil. It also reduce the cost of pavement.

Regenerative Braking and Controlling of Hybrid Energy Storage System for an e Vehicle

Electrical vehicle with its high efficiency, noiseless operation and effective elimination of toxic exhaust gases have gained attention this decade. In earlier times, when conventional vehicles were used a large amount of energy was wasted due to the friction between the wheels and brake pads. In regenerative braking instead of wasting the energy produced during braking, the excess energy is stored and reused with the help of ultra capacitor based arrangement. Hence regenerative braking plays a vital role in electric vehicles. The motor is used as a generator to charge the vehicles battery. However, the regenerated energy is not fully returned to the battery. Regenerative braking refers to a system in which the kinetic energy of the vehicle is stored temporarily, as an accumulative energy, during deceleration, and is reused as kinetic energy during acceleration it has an energy storage system comprise of the ultra capacitor module and a lead Acid battery connected through a PWM Controller to a PMDC motor. These kinds of brakes allow batteries to be used for longer periods of time without the need to be plugged into an external charger. This allows efficient, high power transfer under regenerative brakingand acceleration. The ultra capacitor voltage is a key control parameter that affects the efficiency of the overall system.

Magnetic Properties of Titanium Substituted Ni - Zn Ferrites

The polycrystalline samples of mixed ferrites Ni0.5 x Zn0.5TixFe2 2xO4 with x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 were prepared by ceramic method. Single phase formation is confirmed by x ray diffraction. It is seen that, for all samples the lattice constant remains constant this id due to constant in ionic radii. In the Ti substituted Ni Zn system magnetic moment value decreases with increasing Ti. The of variation of ac susceptibility with temperature, shows that the present studied samples represent MD states.
