A Novel Geometry of Multiband Planar Antenna for Wireless Applications

The compact multiband antenna is of practical interest for the fast growing modern communication industry. In this regard radiation performance of modified rectangular multiband antenna, designed on FR 4 substrate is proposed in this paper. The geometry is operating at three different frequencies in the considered range of 4 6 GHz and offers exc ellent matching with the feedline for each resonant frequency.

Influence of Elastic Deformations on the Adhesion of the ZRN Coating on the Clinching Tool

Clinching is a mechanical joining method. Is it utilized in automobile industry as an alternative method to resistance spot welding. Considering that various types of materials are joined in car body production, PVD coatings are used to increase the lifetime of the clinching tools. Hot dip galvanized steel sheets were used for joining by clinching method. The zirconium nitride ZrN PVD coating was deposited on the surfaces of clinching tool. The loss of cohesion properties of coating was observed at punch´s R0.2 radius after 300 clinched joints. FEM analysis was used to show the punch´s critical part when the tool is under load.

Effect of Fadama III Community Infrastructure on Farm Profitability of Members of Fadama user Groups (Fugs) in Anambra State, Nigeria

The study evaluateD the effect of FADAMA III community infrastructure on farm profitability of members of FADAMA User Groups FUGs in Anambra state, Nigeria. Specifically, the study determined the effect of rural markets on farm profitability of FUG members effect of rural borehole on farm profitability of FUG members, and effect of processing facilities on farm profitability of FUG members. These objectives were achieved through analysis of cross sectional data which were collected by employing multi stage sampling technique in the four Agricultural zones in Anambra, Awka, Aguata and Onitsha to select 375 respondents out of population of 6,125. Research outcome shows that that provision of rural markets has significant effect on farm profitability of FUG members F ratio = 60.634 significant @ 0.01 provision of water boreholes has significant effect on farm profitability of FUG members F ratio = 34.737 significant @ 0.01 level and provision of cassava processing facilities has significant effect on farm profitability of FUG members F ratio = 27.082 significant @ 0.01 level . The researchers recommended among others provision of agricultural support services such as fertilizer, seedlings, credit and extension services by FADAMA III project managers, so as to boost farming activities and income of FUG members.

Agricultural Cooperatives and Rural Poverty Reduction among Rural Farmers in Anambra State, Nigeria

This study assessed the nexus between agricultural cooperative and rural poverty reduction in Anambra State. The study utilised primary data, which were extracted from the questionnaire distributed to 213 rural farmers in Anambra State. Descriptive statistics were used to present and discuss data, while inferential statistics such as Paired sample T Test were employed to test hypothesis at the 5 level. The results study reveal that cooperative credit, cooperative farm inputs, cooperative farm extension services and agricultural cooperative marketing have significant positive relationships with rural poverty reduction among farmers in Anambra State at 5 level of significance. The study recommends among others, that government should complement the efforts of cooperatives by evolving a favourable credit policy which would lead to entrepreneurial development in the rural areas and that government at the three levels and all stake holders should endeavour to assist in providing adequate farm input supplies, crop varieties, good stora

ge facilities among others because of their multiplier effects on poverty reduction, food security, job and wealth creation.

Evaluation of the Impact of Fadama III Programme on the Livelihood of Women Farmers in Anambra State, Nigeria

The study sought to assess the impact of FADAMA III programme on the livelihood of women farmers in Anambra State. The study focused mainly on the activities of FADAMA III programme that supported women farmers relative to income, savings, household expenditure of women farmers, farm asset and non farm asset acquisition which reflects the livelihood of women farmers. A total of 363 women farmers were selected for the study from a population size of 3880 FADAMA users in Anambra State using Taro Yamene Formula ensuring proper spread to all the agricultural zones in Anambra State. Data were collected through the use of structured and pre tested questionnaire and analyzed through the use of Descriptive and inferential statistical tools. The Double Difference DD Estimator was used to compare changes in outcome measures between Fadama Users Groups FUGs and Non Fadama Users Group. The difference in mean shows that the mean income before the programme was N189, 412.43 and N360, 465.68 after the programme. The mean savings before and after the programme was also found to be N37, 326.04, and N62, 805.33 respectively. Equally the mean annual expenditure before and after the programme was found to be N49, 978.70, and N131, 607.40 respectively. The study shows that the FADAMA III programme has a strong positive effect on the livelihood of women farmers in Anambra State. It is recommended that provision of services such as communication, empowerment training on basic agricultural business, monitoring, should be promoted and continued by the management of FADAMA III since these are known to have positive effect on women's livelihood capabilities. A Research on Properties of Concrete with Partial Replacement of Aggregates by Waste Plastic

Solid waste management is among the key environmental issues in India. The current research applies to the usage of or even recycled plastics as an alternative for rough aggregates in concrete. The primary goal of the analysis is to investigate the modification in the physical attributes of concrete by the inclusion of plastics to concrete. In addition to the physical qualities, winter qualities of the ensuing concrete may also be analyzed. The utilization of plastic aggregates was discovered to lead to the development of sturdy concrete. Additionally, with the plastics, the tensile and compressive strength of the concrete reduces. The foremost change brought approximately by using plastics is the fact that concrete's thermal conductivity is decreased due to the utilization of plastics. It is able to thus be declared recycled plastics are usually ut

ilized for thermal insulation of structures. Series of experiments had been performed in this current study for a comparison of the usage of Used Plastic as a replacement of sand in various different proportions. The main conclusions drawn was that the compressive strength increases with the inclusion of Used Plastic upto a certain proportions and then reduces the strength.
