Are Accessibility Indices, a Smart Decision Support System Tool for Measuring Access of Mobility Impaired in Public Spaces A Review

Background There is a worldwide need for smart decision support system tools to measure, evaluate and improve the physical accessibility for varied mobility disabled users in outdoor and indoor built environment.

Purpose
1. How the methodology and variables identified in research studies is pertinent for measuring access of mobility impaired in public spaces and development of Accessibility indices

2. How smart technology is integrated with decision support system tools for measuring the accessibility in public spaces and validated through scientific methods Materials and Methods The majority of studies published during 2000 to 2017 were included in the review, spread across location, infrastructure and time space based accessibility measures for mobility impaired in public spaces, for all categories of age groups.

Comparison of studies at building, campus and city level for analyzing and development of smart decision support system. Results The limitation of decision support system tools integrated with technology considers few variables with one or two types of impairments and fails to demonstrate the conflicting provisions between different disability groups. It supports users and urban planners to map, identify the barriers for intervening in infrastructure improvement and facilitation. The tools brought out social exclusion and disparity in accessing the opportunities of able bodied and disabled persons. Conclusions Research leads to policy interventions, development of smart auditing tools at the planning and design stage for implementing accessibility standards for mobility impaired, elderly and other disability groups. Future studies should focus on real time modeling, utilizing volunteered geographic information for preparation of smart decision support tools.

Comparative Study of Parallel Vertical Junction Solar Cell Photovoltages

This work aims, through a theoretical study, to make a comparison of three different parallel vertical junction solar cells photovoltages Si silicon, InAs indium arsenide and GaAs gallium arsenide . For this we have showed the evolution of these voltages with regard to temperature and the collection of the charge carrier velocity. The photovoltaic cell having the voltage most important is probably more performant. These cells have the same dimensions, are doped with the same doping level and are used under the same conditions of illumination and temperature. The comparative study is made only on their electric photovoltage. This important size for the characterization of cell performance is deduced from the continuity equation resolution. The photovoltages are studied according to the temperature and according to charge carrier's collection velocity.

Skills Gap Identification of RAC TVET Based Curriculum among Practitioners Enhanced Module

This research assessed the skills gap identified by the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning RAC TVET Based curriculum. The descriptive survey method of research was used in this research. Survey questionnaire was formulated to gather the needed data from the respondents. Further, percentages, weighted mean, frequency were used to analyze and interpret the data, and chi square for the significant difference. The data revealed that there is a significant relationship between the profile and the RAC competencies of the group respondents. Moreover, the P value was more than to the level of significance. This implies that the profile of the respondents directly influence the competencies of the group respondents. It was concluded that the group respondents were not well knowledgeable in terms of common and basic competencies. Thus, there is still a need to improve their skills and knowledge in terms refrigeration and air conditioning.

Robust Exponential Stabilization for a Class of Uncertain Systems via a Single Input Control and its Circuit Implementation

In this paper, the robust stabilization for a class of uncertain chaotic or non chaotic systems with single input is investigated. Based on Lyapunov like Theorem with differential and integral inequalities, a simple linear control is developed to realize the global exponential stabilization of such uncertain systems. In addition, the guaranteed exponential convergence rate can be correctly estimated. Finally, some numerical simulations with circuit realization are provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained result.

Energy Efficient Building using Solar Energy and Adoptation of Green Building Techniques

The field of "ENERGY EFFICIENT BUILDING", or building design and constructions that prioritizes energy efficiency and sustainability, is young but rapidly developing. This report's analysis of building construction practices includes description of methods that are currently being employed by the construction industry to increase energy efficiency methods to decrease the amount of energy used in building operating systems, and methods that are currently known to improve energy efficiency but are not yet commercially viable. As energy consumption from residential building is predicted to rise by more than 8 times by 2050 under the business as usual scenario, it is of vital importance for India to develop energy efficiency strategies focused on the residential sector to limit the current trend of unsustainable escalating energy demand. This study investigates methods of restraining growth in energy consumption in the Indian residential sector and documents energy saving potentials that can be achieved with focused policy and market efforts. The report examines other methods of encouraging the public to use energy more efficiently. Also discussed are possibilities for the state of mandate greater energy efficiency in the private sector, primarily through amendments to the building code and to land use and zoning policies. Due to current economic factors, this option may promote a state of policy of energy conservation more than attempting to encourage efficiency with incentives. The ultimate aim is to make the residential building as eco friendly.

FPGA Based Wireless Jamming Networks

A mobile jammeris a device which is used to jam signals of cell phone from receiving signals from base stations. Mobile jammer is used majorly where the disturbances that are occurred with the cell phones. So, in this paper we are designing a new Mobile Jammer unit which is capable of blocking the cell phone working not the signal receiving from Base Station, which make effective use of the situation where jammers actually used. This was implemented using FPGA by interfacing Mobile Device, RF Transmitter and RF Receiver and LCD Unit.
