A Study on the ZigBee Wireless Communication for IAQ Monitoring of Underground Subway Stations

In this paper, the 424MHz ZigBee module, which uses a relatively lower frequency for wireless transmission and reception, is found to have a much higher data transfer rate than that of the 2.4GHz XBee PRO in the presence of obstacles such as subway waiting rooms, platform like stairs, complicated structures, and crowded passengers. This indicates that low frequency radio waves have better diffraction characteristics and thus better performance in face of obstacles. Therefore, it was found that low frequency Zigbee modules are advantageous in areas with complex structures such as subways.

Study on the Analysis of Chromite Refractory Brick from Mwe Taung Chromite Ore

This research paper is the preliminary study of testing the feasibility of chromite ore to produce refractory. Chromite ore was taken from Mwe Taung, in Chin State, Myanmar. Chromite ore contains iron oxide, alumina, magnesia, lime, chromic oxide and silica. The prepared chromite has been extensively used for high temperature metallurgical reactions. The chemical analysis of chromite ore was done to know the composition. Composition expresses the percentage of oxide component which can able to determine whether the refractory is acidic, basic or neutral. The chromite ore studied in this research is neutral refractory. The experiment of chromite refractory brick production was carried out first, the chromite powder are reduced to 50 mesh, 100 mesh and 200 mesh through sieving and then, mixed with magnesium chloride as binder, applied to 400 tons pressure, heated at drying temperature 200°C for twenty four hours and at firing temperature 1580°C for fifty two hours to produce chromite refractory brick. Analysis of locally available chromite refractory brick produced is tested. The standard properties such as cold crushing strength, apparent specific gravity, apparent porosity, bulk density and water absorption.

Heat Load Calculation

The primary objective of this report is to provide a convenient, consistent and accurate method of calculating heating and cooling loads and to enable the designer to select systems that meet the requirement for efficient utilization and are also responsive to environmental needs. The ability to estimate loads more accurately due to changes in the calculation procedure provides a lessened margin of error. Therefore, it becomes increasingly important to survey and check more carefully the load sources, each item in the load and the effect of the system type on the load.

Potential of Neem Leaf Powder as Bio Adsorbents for Dye Colour Removal

In this study, two types of eco friendly and low cost bio adsorbents, Neem leaf powder NLP and acid treated Neem leaf powder TNLP were prepared for the removal of dye color from Congo red solution. The physicochemical parameters of the prepared absorbents were measured. The structural features of these absorbents were analyzed by FTIR, XRD, and SEM. These experiments were conducted with different process parameters such as adsorbent dosage and agitating time using batch adsorption method. Firstly, the dosage amount of adsorbents was optimized for constant shaking for one hour and it was observed that the maximum percent adsorption was found at 91 of 0.4 g for NLP and 76 of 0.4 g for TNLP. The optimum dosage amount of adsorbents, 0.4 g was selected for further study. After optimizing the adsorbent dosage, the optimum agitating time was observed at 60 min with the percent removal of 91 for NLP and 76 for TNLP. From this research, it was observed that NLP and TNLP can be used as bio adsorbents to remove the color of the dye solution.

Design and Performance Analysis of 400Hz Static Frequency Converter

Nowadays solid state technology, engine driven generators, as an aircraft power system, supply 400Hz elecctrical loads for more efficient and effectiveness. The system produces stable and constant 400Hz from variable input frequency of DC link converter. Constant speed drive was momentously replaced by means of providing a constant frequency power supply of static frequency converter. Furthermore, easiness of repair and replacement, reduction in servicing needs, and the ability to locate the components of the electrical system are extended effectiveness of static frequency converter. Research demonstrates design consideration process of the 400Hz converter control system with relaible output power effectively.

Classification of Mango Fruit Varieties using Naive Bayes Algorithm

Mangos are an important agricultural commodity in the global market for fresh products. In Myanmar, the type of mango called SeinTaLone is the best taste and the most people like it. Another type of mango called MaSawYin is not good taste but it is visually similar to the SeinTaLone. So, some people are difficult to classify the mango varieties. A means for distinguishing mango varieties is needed and therefore, some reliable technique is needed to discriminate varieties rapidly and non destructively. The main objective of this research was to classify the varieties of mango fruit that occur in Myanmar using Naive Bayes algorithm. The methodology involved image acquisition, pre processing and segmentation, feature extraction and classification of mango varieties. A method for classifying varieties of mangos using image processing technique is proposed in this paper. RGB image was first converted to HSV image. Then by using edge detection method and morphological operation, region of interest was segmented by taking into account only the HUE component image of the HSV image. Later, a total of 4 shape features and 13 texture features were extracted. Extracted features were given as inputs to a Naive Byaesian classifier to classify the test images as each type. The data set used had 50 mango images for each varieties of mango for training and 20 images of mango for each variety for testing.

Four IR Sensor Based Automatic Control of Railway Gate using Microcontroller

This paper investigates based on four IR sensor automatic control of railway gate using a microcontroller system. There are so many railway accidents happening due to the carelessness in manual operations or lack of worker. So, this paper describes four IR sensor based automatic control of railway gate system for saving precious human lives and preventing major disasters in railway track. Railway gate may be saved for the road users to prevent accidents in terms of train speed at a level crossing. Automatic railway gate control system is an innovative circuit which automatically controls the operation of railway gates detecting the arrival and departure of train at the gate. This automatic system can be replaced by the gates operated by the gatekeeper. The operation using Arduino UNO that integrated with other circuits involved such as power supply, IR sensors, light indicators, buzzer, and gate motors. The servo motor is used to control the open and close status of the railway crossing gate. The four IR sensors are placed on the railway tracks. The gate is closed when the first one senses the train and is opened when the second one senses the train. This operation is performed when the train is coming from the left side of the gate. When the train is coming from the right side, the third and fourth sensors is performed in the same operation. The red LED is HIGH when the gate is closed and the green LED is HIGH when the gate is opened. This system is based on software programming to operate the hardware structure. Program for four IR sensor based automatic control of railway gate system is based on Arduino UNO with C language. The main function of the design is Arduino UNO.
