Performance Analysis of FIR Filter using FDATool

The performance analysis of the FIR filter is presented by testing with different windowing methods. The FIR low pass filter was designed with the windowing system. It was simulated by setting different orders for comparing the performances of the filter. And then, it was also tested with different windowing methods. The performances of FIR low pass filter are analyzed by setting various order numbers such as 10, 20, 50 and 100. These identified FIR filters are designed with four windowing methods. They are Kaiser Window, Hamming Window, Blackman Window and Flat Top Window. The FIR filter is designed with FDA Tool and the results are edited with a filter visualization tool. The magnitude response, phase response, pole zero plot, time domain and frequency domain visualization of the filter are described in this paper. Especially, the comparison of the magnitude responses of different order filter design for Kaiser window, Hamming window, Blackman window and Flat Top window are described in this paper.

Indoor Air Quality Monitoring System for Underground Subway Stations

The IAQ has been recognized as a significant factor in the determination of the health and welfare of people. In this study, the air quality monitoring system based on environmental sensors was implemented to display and record the data on PM10, CO2, radon concentration, temperature, and humidity. In addition, a USN monitoring system is implemented to display and record the environmental sensor data measured in an underground subway station. To transmit and receive these measured sensor data, Wi Fi wireless communication is applied.

Wireless Mobile Charger Design Based on Inductive Coupling

This research described the construction and implementation of the contactless wireless mobile phone battery charging which becomes popularity nowadays. The power was transferred to the destination by means of inductive coupling between two coils. In transmitter part, the desired frequency was produced from Arduino by means of PWM Pulse Width Modulation. This frequency was used to drive the induction coil by using MOSFET driver. The MOSFET operated as a switch in terms of T on and T off. The power in transmitter coil was transmitted to surroundings by means of electromagnetic field. The receiver coil was induced by electromagnetic field and produces DC voltage. That converted DC voltage was filtered by capacitor and then regulates to required voltage by using voltage regulator. Optimal frequency range for maximum power transfer is gained by performing theatrical approach and experimental test.

Design and Fiber Installation for University Campus System

The health of a network depends on the quality of proper installation of the network infrastructure. The main aim of this research is to understand the basic aspects of a modern telecommunication network structure. Signal degradation dominants the performance of the fiber installation. By using MATLAB software, simulation results for signal degradation such as attenuation, dispersion and nonlinear effects are discussed. OTRD Optical Time Domain Reflectometer is a valuable tool for field engineers and service providers to monitor and detect the faults between access network and CO Central Office in real world analysis. In this paper, an overview related to the operation and function of a PON Passive Optical Network and required components to implement the fiber communication system are also described.

Capacitive Discharge Ignition CDI System for Spark Ignition SI Engine Pulse Control Circuit

Technology drive today many things has been replaced with better design and technique. The research throughout designing and constructing of Capacitive Discharge Ignition CDI system for Spark Ignition SI Engine which is based on electronic ignition and contact point ignition. CDI system is composed of pulse generation circuit, pulse control circuit, main charge and discharge capacitor coil and spark plug. Mainly composed of pulse control circuit and pulse generation circuit which main function is to generate DC high voltage when the DC 12V supply from car battery. Pulse control circuit generates the pulse to control oscillator on and off state and trigger gate drive pulse to the SCR. When the SCR from pulse control circuit open, the main capacitor discharge high voltage 300V from pulse generation to ignition coil. The coil generates high voltage 25 30kV which it depends on number of turn ration from coil primary and secondary winding. System is divided into ten blocks. The operation and function of each block is mentioned in detail. Design calculations for inverter, rectifier and selection of SCR, analyzing of components are highlighted for system.

Designing Security Assessment of Client Server System using Attack Tree Modeling

Information security has grown as a prominent issue in our digital life. The network security is becoming more significant as the volume of data being exchanged over net increases day by day. Attack trees AT technique play an important role to investigate the threat analysis problem to known cyber attacks for risk assessment. The technique is especially effective in assessing and managing the risks from hostile, intelligent adversaries. It is useful for analyzing threats against assets ranging from information systems to physical infrastructure. By using attack tree modeling analysis an organization can understand the ways in which they will be attacked, determine the likelihood and impact damage of these attacks and decide what action to take where the risks are unacceptable. This paper describes the attack tree model for organization based on Client Server Network. It provides the ways for defending and preventing sensitive information from attackers. Attack tree modeling provides for effective security solutions, cost effective security solutions and defensible risk mitigation decisions.

A Review on use of Waste Tyre in Cement Concrete Pavement by Replacing Coarse Aggregates

One of the primary construction material that is used worldwide is concrete. For the development trading the most important materials that are used are aggregates and cement, these materials makes the primary and significant constituents for the production of concrete. As for concrete production the natural materials are being used in a greater demand. In a similar context that is required for natural resources utilization has been emerged as an increasing issue for protecting the environment as well as requirement for preserving the natural resources like aggregates that are being exploited through several materials that were actually recycled by the area unit. In this analysis, the study focuses on the replacing the coarse aggregate partially with recycled rubber tyre employment in the construction of concrete along with use of waste tyre that were obtained regionally. The initial sections of this particular study has discussed the background of the study along with the matter extent. The literature review section provides the review or discussion of the various relevant literatures that were performed for in the earlier times in this particular subject area. In this study, various tests were applied on the raw materials to investigate their suitableness and properties for this experimentation study. Three concrete grades that is M15, M20 and M25 are combined to prepare the concrete styles area units. To prepare the specimen, the coarse aggregates is used with different proportion replacement of 10, 25, and 50 for exploiting the mixture of rubber. Furthermore, to perform a comparative analysis, a bearing is developed without any coarse mixture replacement. The samples that were prepared includes beams, cylinders and cubes. After that these concrete samples were tested in the laboratory. The various tests that were performed are as flexural strength, impact resistance, lastingness, compressive strength, unit weight, and slump tests. These laboratory tests that were performed on the specimen were primarily supported by the information assortment. Results of these tests were then compared with the various concrete properties and it was observed that the concrete's compressive strength is decreased due to the presence of rubber aggregates. Although, due to this reason there are chances that it cannot be used in some structural applications. Also, along with the decreased compressive strength it has some important characteristics such as increased flexural strength, increased plasticity, higher impact resistance, and lower density. It is shown from the results that recycled rubber tyres can be used in the construction of concrete as coarse aggregates partial replacement. Due to the fascinating rubber aggregates area unit, the replacement proportion should be kept at normal amount as well as applications should be limited for specific cases where it is required to improve the properties.
