Accelerate the Strength Gaining Properties of Concrete by using Different Cementtitious Materials, Non Chlorides Hardning Acceleraters and Water Curing in Rigid Pavement

The present study work was carried out to determine the effect of Non Chlorides Hardening Accelerators with different cementations' materials i.e. OPC and PPC. On concrete mixtures when Non Chlorides Accelerators used in OPC mixtures with water curing, keeping the ascending dose of non chlorides hardening accelerators i.e. 0, 0.58, 0.73, 0.87. The two strength properties of concrete determined in experimental work namely compressive strength and flexural strength at 7 and 28 days. The effect of accelerators enhancing the flexural strength was found to be fading at later age of concrete which was also observed in case of compressive strength. The maximum percentage gains at 7 and 28 days were 27.18 and 20.48 respectively recorded at maximum dosage of accelerators. In case of PPC mixtures, Non chlorides hardening accelerators rage kept  0, 0.57, 0.72, and 0.85. In PPC mixtures also moderate to high increase in the flexural and compressive strength was observed at early age with increasing the dosage of accelerators Hence through the result conclusion high early strength concrete mixtures can be obtained by using Non chlorides hardened accelerators and two types of cementations materials i.e. OPC and PPC. With different curing methods namely water curing and curing with membrane forming curing compounds.

Characterization of Graphite and Zirconium Oxide on Al 7075 Metal Matrix Composites MMCS Fabricated by Stir Casting Technique

This work investigates the mechanical properties of Aluminium Metal Matrix Composites reinforced with Zirconium Oxide and Graphite. The composite material has been prepared by Stir casting technique. Al 7075 as matrix metal, Zirconium oxide and graphite as reinforcements. Zirconium Oxide and Graphite both have been mixed in different proportions in the Aluminium Matrix. Both reinforcement constituents were added in different combinations, so as to investigate the effect of each of these two and their individual effects. Density test, Micro hardness test and Compression test were carried out on the developed hybrid composites to study the mechanical properties of composites. Micro structural studies were carried out on Al 7075 and all composites. Samples were prepared and tested as per ASTM standards. Significant improvement in micro hardness and Compressive strength was found with an increase in Zirconium dioxide in weight percentage of composites. Micro structural study reveals the uniform distribution of reinforcements ZrO2 and graphite in as cast and Al 7075 metal matrix composites.

Design and Simulation of Power Factor Correction Boost Converter using Hysteresis Control

Nowadays various power converters like AC DC or DC DC are widely used due to their flexible output voltage and high efficiency. But these converters take the current in the form of pulses from the utility grid so that the high Total Harmonic Distortion THD and poor Power Factor PF are the major disadvantages of these converters. Hence there is a continuous need for PF improvement and reduction of line current harmonics. The most popular topology for Active Power Factor Correction APFC is a boost converter as it draws continuous input current. This input current can be manipulated by Hysteresis control technique. The boost converter can perform this type of active power factor correction in many discontinuous and continuous modes. The design and simulation of boost converter with power factor correction in continuous conduction mode is represented by using MATLAB SIMULINK software.

Utilization of Bamboo Fibers for Modification of Black Cotton Soil Properties

Soil stabilization is the process which involves enhancing the physical properties of the soil in order to improve its strength, durability etc. by blending or mixing with additives. The different types of method used for soil stabilization are Soil stabilization with cement, Soil stabilization with lime, Soil stabilization using bitumen, Chemical stabilization and a new emerging technology of stabilization by Geo textiles and Geo synthetic fibers. In this study, we are making use of bamboo fibers as geo synthetic material for stabilization of soil. With the introduction of bamboo fibers to the soil the CBR values will improve and thickness of pavement layer also gets reduced. It also reduces the intensity of stress on subgrade. Bamboo fibers is such a geosynthetic material which is easily available, ecofriendly and also cost effective. With the application of soil stabilization method in construction the overall cost gets reduced when compared to the ordinary method of construction. The Highway Research Board HRB classification of the soil strata like black cotton soil and sedu soil is done using suitable sampling technique such as Core Cutter Method. To determine the characteristics like Grading by Sieve Analysis, Atterbergs Limits i.e Liquid limit using Cone Penetration Method and Casagrande Method, Plastic limit by rolling the sample to 3mm diameter thread, Shrinkage limit using Shrinkage apparatus, Optimum Moisture Content and Maximum Dry Density using Standard Proctor Test and also California Bearing Ratio by conducting CBR test. The pavement thickness was designed using pavement design catalogues published by IRC SP 20 2002. The estimation for the street is finished by considering the thing, for example, Earthwork Excavation for Roadway and Drains, Jungle Cutting, compacting and reviewing and so forth., according to SR 2016 17, PW, P and IWT circle Andhra Pradesh and proposing of particulars for the blend of Bamboo strands as Geo Synthetic material for adjustment.

Development of a Secured Door Lock System Based on Face Recognition using Raspberry Pi and GSM Module

Security is an important part of everyday life. The main aim of the system is to develop a secured door lock system. The system consists of three sections. The first section is the face recognition system that is based on Haar like features detection method and Local Binary Pattern LBP recognition algorithm. The second section is the password security system. And the last section is the alert system through GSM module. The system is composed by the combination of face recognition security system, password security system and the alert system through the GSM module. In this system, the iteration used in face recognition system is reduced by using Local Binary Pattern LBP algorithm. In saving time, the processing time of this system, therefore, is better than that of the normal system.

Risk Assessment Model and its Integration into an Established Test Process

In industry, testing has to be performed under severe pressure due to limited resources. Risk based testing which uses risks to guide the test process is applied to allocate resources and to reduce product risks. Risk assessment, i.e., risk identi cation, analysis and evaluation, determines the signi cance of the risk values assigned to tests and therefore the quality of the overall risk based test process. In this paper we provide a risk assessment model and its integration into an established test process. This framework is derived on the basis of best practices extracted from published risk based testing approaches and applied to an industrial test process.
