Automatic Floor Cleaning Robot using Encoder

This research work is based on design and construction of a floor cleaning robot with two modes  automatic and manual mode. It supports automatic mode in this paper. IR sensor is used to avoid the obstacles and change left direction after right direction and it is mounted at the front side of the robot. It is applied to meet the U turn movement for complete coverage navigation by using optocoupler based encoder feedback. In this system, two motors 555 dc gear motor are used with L298 for robot movement, and other 12V dc motor is used with MOSFET driver to control the speed of the cleaner. The wireless connection between remote control and robot is established by using RF module. In U paths, the robot moves forward direction and turn left if it is detected wall and turn left again and move forward direction. Battery percentage, cleaner speed, movement of the robot and selected mode are displayed on the LCD. ATmega328P microcontroller based Arduino UNO board are applied as the heart of the system. Simulation test and experimental test are utilized for stable response in domestic application.

Social Media Datasets for Analysis and Modeling Drug Usage

This paper based on the research carried out in the area of data mining depends for managing bulk amount of data with mining in social media on using composite applications for performing more sophisticated analysis. Enhancement of social media may address this need. The objective of this paper is to introduce such type of tool which used in social network to characterised Medicine Usage. This paper outlined a structured approach to analyse social media in order to capture emerging trends in medicine abuse by applying powerful methods like Machine Learning. This paper describes how to fetch important data for analysis from social network. Then big data techniques to extract useful content for analysis are discussed.

Design and Construction of Navigation Based Auto Self Driving Vehicle using Google Map API with GPS

Self driving vehicles are one of the most useful technologies in many applications such as bomb disposal, underwater exploration, industrial transport etc. Control and guidance are important aspects of research and many techniques have been proposed in literature which range from fully autonomous and intelligent systems to laser and radar guided systems and line followers. This paper presents a technique for guiding and controlling autonomous vehicles by using the Google Map API Application Program Interface . GPS Global Positioning System was fitted to this system for localization of the vehicle on Google map application via Wi Fi module.

Design and Implementation of Payload Camera Control System for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

The aim of this research is to design and implement PIC based radio frequency wireless communication system of two axes Pan Tilt payload camera unit for UAV. Camera is used as a payload and two servo motors are used to adjust the camera positioner in two axes to take the desired photo. User interface program is designed by C language on personal computer and serial communication RS232 protocol is used for data communication between personal computer and microcontroller. SONY digital camera is used to take the desired photographs and store recorded data to its memory. Ultra High Frequency band radio frequency wireless transmitter and receiver pairs are used for data communication link between the ground station and the receiver on the vehicle. And they are Amplitude Shift Keying ASK type IC and transmission frequency is 433.92MHZ. The Futaba S3003 servo motors mounted on the payload are driven by PWM pulse related to the transmitted data from the transmitter in order to get the desire payload camera orientation. The control system is based on microcontroller PIC16F877A. The microcontroller CCS C language is used for this control system.

Comparative Study on Construction Sequence Analysis on Steel Structure without and with Floating Columns

This paper presents the construction sequence analysis on the setback steel structure. In this study, the proposed building is eleven storey setback steel structure. The length of the proposed building is 78ft and width is 66ft. The effective height of proposed building is 142ft. This building is located in seismic destructive zone V, Mandalay. The basic wind speed is 80mph. The structure is composed of special moment resisting frame SMRF. Structural elements are designed according to AISC 360 10. Load consideration and stability checking for proposed building are based on ASCE 7 10. The proposed building is analysed and designed with the help of ETABS 2016 version 16.2.1 software. After response spectrum analysis RSA has done for the checking of the stability, then construction sequence analysis CSA is considered. And then the structural analysis results of the proposed building are studied such as axial force, shear force and bending moment of the structural frame elements. The effect of floating columns with CSA on axial force for the selected columns of proposed building is more influence from first to sixth floor level. The value of shear force with CSA is abruptly increased at the floated columns level and the other level are gradually decreased. The value of bending moment at the floated columns level is abruptly increased due to the effect of floating columns with CSA and the other level are gradually decreased.

Simulation of 3 Phase, 24 Pulse GTO Converter for Flow Control of Transmission System

Gate Turn off GTO thyristor based power control controller for flow control of transmission system is used to regulate voltage and reactive power improment. GTO thyristor switching devices with high power handling capability and the advancement of the other type of power semiconductor devices such as IGBTs, MOSFETs, Ideal switch and so on have led to the development of fast controllable reactive power source utilizing new electronic switching and converter technology. Nowadays, the development of a large capacity Gate Turn off thyristor has made it possible to manufacture self commutated converter employing GTO thyristor for power applications. At present, most of the research on GTO thyristor has focused on their use in power electronic systems at high switching frequencies. GTO thyristor enable the design of the solid state shunt equipment based upon switching technology. The improved rating of GTOs made possible the use of voltage sourced converter VSC in power system applications. In this paper, GTO based voltage source converter VSC is used in high power Flexible AC Transmission Systems FACTS which are used to control power flow on transmission grids. It can be used to build a model of shunt or series static compensator STATCOM or SSSC or, using two such converters, a combination of shunt and series devices known as Unified Power Flow Controller UPFC. This paper has shown a basic application of MATLAB Sim Power Systems programming for 24 pulse GTO converter STATCOM.

A Review on Civil Structural Optimization

Reinforced Concrete RC slab is the key structural component and is used in houses to provide flat surfaces floors and ceilings . Concrete slabs are effective systems where putting columns interrupts the structures Audiences, parking lots, hotels, airports, etc. serviceability to cover the lengthy spans. From the economic point of view the total cost optimization of RC slabs is very important issue and must be the prime concern of structural optimization in near future. In recent past, metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been applied to many structural problems, and RC slabs are no exception as a result a number of articles on RC slabs optimization have been published. This paper presents firstly presents a brief overview of four type of slabs Simply Supported, One end Continuous, Both end Continuous, and Cantilever , then describes the optimization algorithms and finally presents a review of some of the recent literatures related to the RC slab optimization.
