Design Selection of CT and PT"™ Effective for Transmission Lines

In this paper focused on design selection of CT and PT effective for substation inwhere must have different protective systems to avoid the failure of power system and to get the safety of employees and consumers. The current transformers and potential transformers perform both metering and protection and step down high voltages and currents to lower values which are safe and suitable for operation of relays and other instruments connected in secondary windings. Their design performance and characteristics are used at 230 33 11 kV substation. And then their principles, effectives, essential factors and ratio error of CT for 230 kV Incoming Line , 230kV Transformer 1 and 33kV Bank 1 , PT for 230kV Incoming Line and 33kV Bank 1 are analyzed and calculation for requirement data.

Simulation of Automatic Water Level Control System by using Programmable Logic Controller

This research focuses on the design and implementation of a PLC based water level control system. In this research, there are three primary objectives the water level indicator circuit design, manual control system of water level control and the PLC based automatic water level control. Float switches cannot be able to use to indicate the multi water level in the desired control system. Therefore, AND gate based digital electronic water sensor is invented and used in this proposed not only manual water level control but also PLC based automatic water level control by dividing in eight steps. Induction motor is used to drive the pump as a one set package. So, induction motor starting method is selected according to the power rating of motor, type of motor and nature of application. Star delta starting method is used to reduce the starting current of induction motor. For PLC based automatic water level control, Siemens S7 1200 PLC is used to control the desire water level. There are 10 inputs and 10 outputs in the proposed automatic water level control. Ladder diagram programming is used for this control.

Shadow Detection and Removal Techniques A Perspective View

Shadow detection and removal from single images of natural scenes is the main problem. Hence, Shadow detection and removal remained a challenging task. Significant research carried out on different shadow detection techniques. Over the last decades several approaches were introduced to deal with shadow detection and removal. Shadows are visual phenomena which happen when an area in the scene is occluded from the primary light source e.g. sun . Shadows are everywhere around us and we are rarely Confused by their presence. This article provides an overview of various methods used for shadow detection and removal using some main components like texture analysis, color information, Gaussian mixture model GMM and deterministic non model based approach. Texture Color This paper is aimed to provide a survey on various algorithms and methods of shadow detection and removal with their comparative study.

Experimental Research on the Strength of Concrete for Local Cement with Various Replacement Materials

The main purpose of this paper is to study the effects of "Various replacement materials for cement in concrete strength. Materials used in this research are abundant in Mandalay, Myanmar. In this paper, the chemical composition and physical properties of AAA cement is analysed. Cement replacement materials used in this research are blast furnace slag powder which is obtained from iron and steel industry from Mandalay Industrial Zone, fly ash, and granite quarry dust which obtained from BaeLin, KyaukSe. The physical properties of cement, blast furnace slag powder, fly ash and granite quarry dust, sand and aggregate are tested according to ASTM standard procedure. The specific gravity test, water absorption test and fineness modulus of fine and coarse aggregates are also carried out. The compressive strength of concrete is tested without and with replacement of cement materials. The dosages of fly ash are 10 , 20 and 30 respectively and Blast furnace slag powder, 10 , 20 , 30 and 40 proportions are used for cement replacement. Different proportions of granite quarry dust 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 and 25 are also considered in this research. The compressive strengths of concrete are tested with cement and with cement replacement materials. The samples are tested for 7, 28, 60 and 91 days compressive strength.

Performance Analysis of OFDM System for Middleton Class A Noise

Power Line Communication PLC becomes the preferred technique for providing broadband to homes and offices with the advantage of eliminating the need for new wiring infrastructure and reducing the cost. An effect of an impulsive noise is identified as one of the major impairment in PLC. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing OFDM is one of the modulation techniques for PLC by most researchers and is used in this research. The performance of OFDM is analysed by adding Middleton Class A noise and applying it to the channel in an attempt to corrupt the signal. The results will show that the different modulation orders of Phase Shift Keying PSK are applied to test the input image which may be any size of a gray scale image or a colour image by comparing the values of Bit Error Rate BER , the average phase error and the percentage of pixel errors in the operation of OFDM system. In doing so, GUI from MATLAB software is used to simulate the operation of virtual transmitter and receiver.

Material Selection of Crankshaft for 2C Diesel Engine

Crankshaft is the main component part of an engine. The main aim of this thesis is to select the crankshaft materials with minimum Von Misses stress and displacement. That is considered material selection, theory and calculation of crankshaft for static load. The function of the crankshaft is to convert the reciprocation motion of the piston to rotary motion of the flywheel. If the crankshaft is suddenly deformable, the engine will not work. The type of the crankshaft is used for four cylinder, four stroke 2C Diesel Engine Light Truck , which is fully supported, multi throws, centre crankshaft. The compression ratio of this engine is 22.5. This thesis is mainly compared the Von Misses stresses and displacement of three different materials. As the crankshaft is subjected to complex bending, shear and twisting loads, it needs to be well designed quality material to withstand the high stresses. The total length of the crankshaft is 460 mm. The crankpin diameter is 50 mm and the main diameter is 56 mm. The crankpin length is 28 mm and the main journal length is 29 mm. In this thesis, crankshaft design is modelled and compared the simulation results with acting static load on the crankshaft by using AutoDesk Inventor software. In AutoDesk Inventor software, it is needed to apply boundary condition on the existing crankshaft for stress analysis report. The gas force acting on the middle of the crankpins is 44198.512 N. The combustion pressure was used to calculate the gas force acting on the crankshaft and modelled the geometry of crankshaft. Finally, Carbon steel will be selected because it has minimum Von Misses stress and displacement.

Improving Properties of M30 Grade of Concrete by Adding Glass Fibers

This Experimental work shows the investigation on M30 grade due to incorporation of glass fibers. In this Experiment, we used the glass fibers of Filament diameter 14 microns with aspect ratio 857.1 at various percentages as 0 , 0.4 , 0.8 , 1.2 , 1.6 by the weight of cement on M30 grade of mix proportion 1 1.60 2.96 with water cement ratio 0.45. Hence, in this research the Experimental investigations and analysis of results were conducted to study the compressive, tensile and flexural behavior of composite concrete with varying percentage of such fibers added to it. The concrete mix adopted were M30 with varying percentage of fibers ranging from 0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.2 and 1.6 by weight of cement. On the analysis of test results, the concrete with straight glass fibers had improved performance as compared to the conventional concrete, which was readily available in market. From the experimental investigation, It has been found that optimum dosage amount of glass fiber of concrete is 1.2 by weight of concrete because at this point the compressive strength of GFRC increased up to 17.36 as compared to plain concrete while the flexural Strength increased up to 35 and Split Tensile Strength increased up to 40 . The common person in their regular constructions could easily adopt these sustainable improvements or modifications.
