Experimental Investigations on Influence of Silica Fume and Steel Fiber on Concrete

In today's modernization of technological field lot of studies and trials are being carried out for manufacturing an excessive strong, long lasting and heavy duty concrete. In this study how the silica fume and steel fibers are beneficial if added to normal concrete is discussed. The results of this study depicts that the addition of silica fume and steel fibers in the normal concrete enhance the concrete properties like workability, brittleness, bond strength, corrosion resistance, fire resistance, acid resistance and ultimately increased durability of the structure which can be achieved by adding the appropriate quantity of silica fume and steel fibers. Lot of fact finding experimental examination and there analysis were carried out for fining out the compressive, split tensile and flexural behavior of composite concrete with adding different proportion of silica fume and steel fibers. The concrete mix used for this study was M30 and the addition of silica fume and stainless steel fibers was experimented with different proportions like 0 , 4 , 8 , 12 and 16 and 0 , 0.5 , 1.0 , 1.5 and 2.0 respectively. The steel fibers used in this study were of .50 mm diameter and 40 mm in length as a partial replacement of cement weight. The result after analyzing showed that when the normal concrete is mixed with silica fume and straight steel fibers in proper proportions it improves the properties and execution of composite mixture as compared to the ordinary concrete. This rational advancement can be positively accepted and utilized in the regular constructions.

A Result Paper on Experimental Study of Demolished Concrete use in Rigid Pavement Construction

India is developing country and for developing country lot of construction is required. In this study we used the demolished aggregates in the newly construction at different proportion and strength are check for that proportions. In the mix0 all normal aggregate are taken. In the mix1 12 of natural aggregates replace by demolished aggregates. In the mix2 25 of natural aggregate replace by demolished aggregates, mix3 replace by 35 and mix4 replace by 45 natural aggregates by demolished aggregates. Recycled aggregate are show low value of specific gravity and bulk density. But the water absorption of demolished aggregates is high in comparison of normal aggregate. Economical and environmental point of view demolished aggregate are the alternate source of fresh aggregates.

A Review Paper on Experimental Study of Demolished Concrete use in Rigid Pavement Construction

Today construction is increasing very fast rate and due to increase in construction concrete waste is produced in large amount. So for dispose of this waste large amount of land fill is required and also it impacts the environment condition. In this study we use this demolished waste concrete by replacing normal fresh aggregate. Demolished aggregate are used in the mixture of concrete in the different proportions.

Wireless Sensor Body Area Network

Recent advancement of wearable computing and wearable sensor devices has empowered the development of Wireless Body Area Networks WBANs . Wireless body area network is made up of remotely connected miniaturized sensors placed in, on or around the Human Body, which provides continuous monitoring of physiological signs to support medical, lifestyle and entertainment applications. This paper offers a survey of the concept of Wireless Body Area Networks. First, we focus on some applications with special interest in patient monitoring. Then the communication in a WBAN and its positioning between the different technologies is discussed. In this research work, we propose a reliable, power efficient and high throughput routing protocol for Wireless Body Area Networks. We use multi hop topology to achieve minimum energy consumption and longer network lifetime. We propose a cost function to select parent node or forwarder. Pro posed cost function selects a parent node which has high residual energy and least distance to sink. Residual energy parameter balances the energy consumption among the sensor nodes while distance parameter ensures successful packet delivery to sink.

Food Insecurity among Children

Food insecurity refers to the lack of nutritious foods to maintain good health. It is a serious health problem that is related to other social difficulties such as poverty. Children from food insecure households have less consistent access to food. This may lead to behavioral problems and poor grades in school. Ensuring food security for young children should be a national priority because it greatly affects their current and future health. This paper provides a brief introduction to food insecurity in children.

Study on the Effect of Response Spectrum Analysis and Construction Sequence Analysis on Setback Steel Structure

This paper presents the effect of response spectrum analysis and construction sequence analysis on the setback steel structure. In this study, the proposed building is eleven storey setback steel structure. The length of the proposed building is 78ft and width is 66ft. The effective height of proposed building is 142ft. This building is located in Mandalay. So it is situated not only destructive zone but also basic wind speed, 80mph. The structure is composed of special moment resisting frame SMRF . Structural elements are designed according to AISC 360 10 2 . Load consideration and stability checking for proposed building are based on ASCE 7 10 3 . The analysis and design of the proposed structure model is done with the help of ETABS 2016 version 16.2.1 software 6 . The present study involves response spectrum analysis RSA and construction sequence analysis CSA , which are done on a setback steel structure and the structural analysis results such as storey displacement, maximum axial force, maximum shear force and maximum bending moment of the structural frame elements are compared. The maximum storey displacement with CSA is increased by 56 than the displacement with RSA. The maximum axial force on columns with CSA is increased by 48 than axial force with RSA. The maximum shear forces and bending moments with CSA are more than shear forces and bending moments with RSA.
