Risk Assessment in Manual Material Handling of an Edible Oil Company

The process of Shifting material manually has the potential for injury to employees. The purpose of this study is to assess and analyze the injury risk level in manual handling activity, as well as to improve the condition. The observed manual material handling activity is truck loading. This activity was analyzed using different software such as NIOSH equation, Rapid Entire Body Assessment, and compression force using 3DSSPP software as well as Nordic body map questionnaire was used to identify body discomfort level. In this study 5 male truck loading operators were taken as subjects, they are loading boxes from stacking area to truck manually.

The task involved small repetitive movement while handling material, due to this the load man has faced work related musculoskeletal problems. The Nordic questionnaire is spread among the workers for collecting data, after collecting all information sorted out and analyzes the body parts using above software. The outcome shows that most of the workers who carry out activities have a high level of risk with the score of REBA exceeds points 12 risk is very high, need immediate changes required to improve the task , Literature survey indicates the lifting index should not be in more than 1, but the value obtained is 7.591 the job is more dangerous and stressful .

Compression force exceeds the actual limit of 3400, but in this manual handling having compression force is 3408. When the Nordic body mapping method the major discomfort was found in the body parts such as Lower back, Forearm, upper arm. Based on the suggestion conveyor system is introduced and we re assess risk level of the body parts and the result shows that the risk level decreased up to 50 . Therefore replacing manual handling system with the conveyor system with reduces the lower back pain.

Analysis of Energy Generation from Exhaust of Automobile using Peltier Thermoelectric Generator

In recent past days, big deal of the automobile industry's RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT Practicing on improving overall efficiency of vehicle. It has brought a major interest in the field of making internal combustion engines highly efficient 1 . In past days, only 25 30 energy is used in the vehicle and rest is exposed to surroundings. The useful energy is used to run the engine as well as generator. So the efficiency of those engine were very less. But the efficiency can be improved by utilizing waste heat that is exhaust of vehicle. One of the best technology that was found to be useful for this purpose were thermoelectric generator. In this, we study and investigated the use of thermoelectric generator for power production 2 . Thermoelectric generator works by imparting exhaust's gas stream on its surface and small D.C. electric current developed due to difference in temperature across heat exchanger that is put in the pathway of exhaust gas i.e. working on seebeck effect principle. An output Voltage of 200mV was generated using a single Bi2Te3 thermoelectric module for a temperature difference of about 40o C which can be used in charging battery, headlight, G.P.S. systems, etc. Such that it can reduce the level of alternator's frictional power that is used to save fuel and also in automotive industry to increase the efficiency of engine 1 .

An Approach to Block Negative Posts on Social Media at Server Side

These days' social media is the new friend of human beings. Whatever a person wants to say or someone feels, he posts everything on social media. These sentiments can be analysed to detect the behaviour of a person. Sometime a person posts some negative thoughts that hurt the sentiments of other persons or may cause several riots. These types of negative posts must be filtered out before being public. One way to block these types of comment is to keep the surveillance on each and every post by humans themselves which is almost an impossible task. Instead of this technique server can be trained to keep track of each and every comment and use its own intelligence to rectify positive comments and block the negative comments.

This paper introduces a technique to block these negative comments even before they can be public on any social media site. In this technique sever uses its artificial intelligence to separate positive and negative words or sentences from a post. The server finds the average of the negative statements and if it exceeds a particular threshold, the server discards that post, else server will allow the post to public. This technique can be efficient and very successful if the server properly depicts the positive and negative words.

Feasibility of Artificial Neural Network in Civil Engineering

An Artificial neural network ANN is an information processing hypothesis that is stimulated by the way natural nervous system, such as brain, process information. The using of artificial neural network in civil engineering is getting more and more credit all over the world in last decades. This soft computing method has been shown to be very effective in the analysis and solution of civil engineering problems.

It is defined as a body which works out the more and more complex problem through sequential algorithms. It is designed on the basis of artificial intelligence which is proficient of storing more and more information's. In this work, we have investigated the various architectures of ANN and their learning process. The artificial neural network based method was widely applied to the civil engineering because of the strong non linear relationship between known and un known of the problems. They come with good modelling in areas where conventional approaches finite elements, finite differences etc. require large computing resources or time to solve problems.

These includes to study the behaviour of building materials, structural identification and control problems, in geo technical engineering like earthquake induced liquefaction potential, in heat transfer problems in civil engineering to improve air quality, in transportation engineering like identification of traffic problems to improve its flexibility , in construction technology and management to estimate the cost of buildings and in building services issues like analyzing the water distribution network etc. Researches reveals that the method is realistic and it will be fascinated for more civil engineering applications.

Design and Analysis of Go Kart Chassis for Front, Side and Rear Impact

This paper deals with Go kart chassis building with the help of modelling software CATIA V15 and analysis of the same for front, side and rear impact. The cassis has been designed for light weight profile and engine mounting of capacity 135cc. The go kart vehicle is meant for participation in various Go kart event organized all over the India. The preliminary test for these events is checking of 3 D model of the chassis frame and analysis of the same chassis frame under front, side and rear impact.

During collision the chassis is under impact loading conditions so it has to be thoroughly analyzed for impact loads. The studies found below shades some light on how the chassis behaves under impact loading conditions. Chassis is made up of a tubular cross section pipe, fabricated assembly of EN8 grade and a few other grades. In this kart, we have used EN8 class tube with 1 inch diameter and 1.5 mm wall thickness. The results obtained for permissible stresses, Factor of safety and deformation are found to be well within range. This makes the chassis suitable for Go kart events. The main criteria that has been focused here is maximum deformation and stress. The stresses should be well within Von mises stress range and so as the Factor of safety. After analysis, both are found to be well within range.

Experimental Study of Setup Time Reduction in CNC Machine Shop

The significance of process duration decrease in CNC machines is should in current world, or, in other words fabricating cost decrease for the focused market. To begin with, numerous organizations are attempting to accomplish Just In Time JIT benefits. They need each required segment accessible at the point it is required, wiping out the need to stock any of the related parts. Since lessening burn time will enhance through put of employments, process duration decrease is a noteworthy supporter of any genuine JIT program. Second, diminishing process duration enhances an organizations adaptability. It causes them to run any activity whenever without overburdening setup individuals or machine devices. Third, obviously organizations need to enhance overall revenues. The quicker a creation run can be finished, the more benefit an organization can make. Furthermore, forward, rivalry manages that an organization has the capacity to cite the most minimal conceivable cost. Since most organizations quote employments dependent on a machines shop rate in Rupees every hour of utilization, they can cite lower landing more positions if process duration can be limited i.e. the process duration diminished is immediate benefit made with no capital speculation and lessened work.

Study on Loss Allocation of Power Distribution Network with Distributed Generation

The introduction of the power distribution network with distributed generation is vast and losses and faults have been occurred so new challenges also been introduced. Loss allocation problem is one of them, it comes during operation of power distribution network with distributed generation. In the distribution of electricity loss allocation also vary and sudden changes will occur, to reduce this type of problem bus radial network will be used according to the distribution and generation of electrical power by loss allocation scheme. In the loss allocation scheme, different types of algorithms and calculation will be used.
