Voltage Coordinated Control Technology

As of late, as disseminated age, new loads and new FACTS gadgets generally utilized, the current voltage control innovation of network have been not able meet the new necessities under the new circumstance on the control goals, control methodology and control implies. In part of control targets, it just satisfy the responsive power equalization and voltage qualified rate of control transport, doesnt viably mirror the client end need of fantastic power supply, in this way it is hard to accomplish the worldwide ideal. In voltage control implies, it have not secured the Reactive Power gadget of circulation and request side. In voltage control system, it centres on the transmission arrange advancement. Thus, this article advances the planned control framework that dependent on the current three level voltage control, expanding receptive voltage control of dispersion and request side and completely meet the necessities of the client end.

Experimental in Structural Dynamics Base Isolation System Modelling

This project is to understand and have the ability to perform dynamic test. Furthermore in this project, the author can investigate how the dynamics of a multistory building is modified by base isolation. The dynamic properties are also very important for the dynamics analysis of the structure. The main task in this project is to determine the dynamic behavior of a 5 storey steel structure model with base isolation system and without base isolation system by experimentally and numerically.

In this section the author examine the vibration properties, natural modes and the earthquake response of two systems 1 Five storey building on a fixed base, 2 Same five storey building supported on the isolation system. In this whole project, the following tasks have to do. First the five storey structure has to model in SAP2000 numerically. After that by the definition of reference sensor positions, sensor setups and excitation locations, the first experimental modal test has planned to do. Then the data assessments have to do like model identification, comparison of test results with the numerical model and also simulate the tests numerically. Again it needs to modify the structure in the numerical model and analyzed it again. In the second test, the system has to prepare with base isolation system. There also have to do second data assessments like model identification, comparison of test results with the numerical model with respect to base isolation system and braced system. Since the dynamic behavior of a linearly behaving structure can be described by its modal parameters natural frequencies, mode shapes, modal damping it is important to carry out tests to identify these parameters. From a numerical analysis study, how response of the building with proposed isolation system under multi direction excitation is then presented followed by the conclusion.

Experimental Studies of Optimization of Automotive wheel Rim using ANSYS

Purpose The purpose of this work is to investigate the optimization of automotive wheel rim using ansys. Design Methodology Approach In this study heavy stresses in the rim was developed, the critical stress and number cycles to failure were to be found. The purpose of the car wheel rim was to provide a firm base to hold the tire .Its dimensions and shape should be suitable to accommodate the particular tire required for the vehicle .In this study ,a car wheel rim considered.

The wheel rim was designed by using modeling software SOLID WORKS V13.The solid model was then imported to ANSYS for static analysis. Findings The experimental results indicate that the static analysis is carried out by considering the three different materials namely steel alloy, alluminium alloy and their relative performance have been observed .In addition to this the rim is subjected to fatigue analysis using MSV fatigue software and its performance is observed .The results of static and fatigue analysis obtained from three different materials reveals that the steel alloy is the best material of wheel rim. Originality value This paper explains the effect of different materials on the wheel through by vonmises stresses and number of cycles in fatigue analysis.

Advanced Active Filter AAF with Reduced DC Link Voltage

In recent years voltage and current harmonics are become serious problem in transmission and distribution system. To eliminate these voltage and current harmonics and to achieve clean grids, AAF are been used. The existing AAF technology requires a higher dc link voltage to achieve the THD requirement therefore this paper presents an Advanced Active Filter AAF for IGBT and LCL network in order to maintain voltage balance among dc link. This method is well capable of balancing charging and discharging of dc link voltage without increasing circuit complexity. This modulation technique is very effective in terms of voltage balancing as well as for maintaining voltage output THD at low level. The proposed system is implemented in Simulink platform of MATLAB software and performance shows its effectiveness over conventional IGBT used for inverter Tamil

Concepts and Technology of Flexible Ac Transmission Systems

FACTS indicate versatile AC transmission and this innovation release new doors for observance the facility and up the consumption limit of recent additionally as new and upgraded lines. These opportunities arise because of the provision of FACTS Controllers that controls the reticulated parameters like shunt series ohmic resistance, current, voltage, and different parameters. A difficulty emerging from the pressure of expanding power transmission and distribution limit could be effectively settled by growing the system and introducing more transmission lines. In any case, natural and monetary factor contradict the utilization of this goals. These elements have built the forward research on planning power systems to give greatest transmission limit at least expense.

The consequence of the constant analysis led to the use of flexible AC Transmission Systems FACTS that is completely supported power hardware, to expand transmission limit, improve irresponsibleness and dynamic conduct of the framework and guarantee higher power quality. This paper can refer basically the importance of FACTS in our systems, its segments, the earliest innovation used Static volt ampere Compensator SVC , and also the latest innovation used Unified Power Flow Controller UPF.

An Experimental Study on Rapid Chloride Penetration Test of Self Compacting Concrete

Self compacting concrete SCC is a very fluid concrete and a homogeneous mixture that solves most of the problems related to ordinary concrete. Self Compacting Concrete gets dense and compacted due to its own self weight. An experimental investigation has been carried out to determine different characters like filling ability, passing ability, segregation resistance workability and strength of Self Compacting Concrete SCC .

And finally determining the chloride penetrability of SCC. Self Compacted Concrete is generally defined as the “Concrete, which does not need Compaction.” Due to these characteristics, SCC is ideally suited for concreting structures, which have heavily congested reinforcement or difficult access conditions. In this project, M40 grade concrete were made using European method. The compressive strength, split tension test obtained at the ages of 7, 14 and 28 days.

Study on Speech Compression and Decompression by using Discrete Wavelet Transform

Speech signal can be compressed and decompressed by discrete wavelet transform technique. Discrete wavelet transform compression is based on compressing speech signal by removing redundancies present in it. Speech compression is a technique to transform speech signal into compact form. Objective of compressing speech signal is to enhance transmission and storage capacity. The compression parameters in speech such as Signal to Noise Ratio SNR , Peak Signal to Noise Ratio PSNR , Normalized Root Mean Square Error NRMSE , Compression Factor CF and Retained Signal Energy RSE are measured using Matlab.
