Challenges of Hybrid Electric Vehicle for Military Application

Hybrid electric vehicles are relentlessly happening as expected in the business advertise because of their demonstrated advantages in efficiency and lesser emanation of toxins. For defense purpose, the drivers for half and half electric vehicles are very unique in spite of the fact that the mileage remains an attractive component in business and defense areas. The defense requirements for half and half electric live in their capacity to produce noteworthy dimension of electricity locally available the vehicles to fulfill the need of the war fighter in this manner extending his main goal abilities as far as portability, survivability and lethality. The Army perceives the adjustments of half and half electric impetus for strategic and battle vehicles.

Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties of Sintered Fly Ash Aggregate in Concrete

There is heavy demand for the building materials in the domestic market, which is becoming scarce day by day. Presently in India the power sector depends on coal based thermal power station, which produce a huge amount of fly ash approximately to be around 200 million tones annually. The mass utilization of fly ash in concrete, essentially focused on sintered fly ash aggregate replaced by natural coarse aggregate is thought of in this investigation.

Unit Test using Test Driven Development Approach to Support Reusability

Unit testing is one of the approaches that can be used for practical purposes in improving the quality and reliability of software. Test Driven Development TDD adopts an evolutionary approach which requires unit test cases to be written before implementation of the code. TDD method is a radically different way of creating software. Writing test first can assure the correctness of the code and thus helping developer gain better understanding of the software requirements which leads to fewer defects and less debugging time. In TDD, the tests are written before the code is implemented as test first.

The number of defects reduced when automated unit tests are written iteratively similar to test driven development. If necessary, TDD does the code refactoring. Refactoring does to improve the internal structure by editing the existing working code, without changing its external behavior. TDD is intended to make the code clearer, simple and bug free. This paper focuses on methodology and framework for automation of unit testing.

Fabrication and Analysis of Mechanical Properties of Metal Matrix Nano Composite using Magnesium and CNT as the Blending Material

The composite is used in almost every industry because of its high strength to weight ratio. The project focuses on fabrication of metal matrix nano composites and to checks its mechanical properties according to the ASTM standards. The carbon nano tube metal matrix composite is fabricated using powder blending sintering technique and it is cured for several hours to obtain a complete composite. It is found that the mechanical properties of carbon nano tube metal matrix composite such as tensile, hardness and wear strength varies according to the composition of carbon nano tubes in the magnesium matrix.

A Modern Technique for Unauthorized Human Detection and Intimation

Technological advancements are inevitable and the field of IoT is no exception. The utilization of the technologies in various sectors is highly employed. Even though we use technology in various sectors, the employment of technology for security purposes is very low. The Existing security in various places only CCTV is used for monitoring and recording. Even there are existing security systems where an alert is sent via an email which requires a stable internet connection. It is unlikely that we expect the user to be always connected to an internet source. In the Proposed system, authorized users faces will be trained and stored in a Database. Initially, when an unknown known person enters in the zone the camera module will capture the intruders face. The captured intruder's face will be compared with the trained faces in the database. If the person's face doesn't match, the micro controller will send an alert SMS to the recognized user and also the intruder's captured image will be E mailed to the user. The authorized user should acknowledge the SMS message. If he fails to acknowledge the message within a threshold time limit, an alert call will be made to the concerned user. By this the user gets intimated in real time.

Path Navigation in ACO Using Mobile Robot

Ant colony algorithm suffers drawbacks such as slow convergence and easy to trap into local optimum, therefore the path planning for mobile robot based on an improved ant colony optimization algorithm is proposed. The workspace for mobile robot is established with grid method. A hybrid ant colony which is composed of common ants and exploratory ants is utilized to avoid trapping into local optimum. To increase the convergence speed, the pheromone update mechanism is improved by enhancing the sensitivity of the ants to the optimal path with reserving the elite ants. The optimal collision free path can be planned rapidly in the workspace with multiple obstacles. Simulation and experiment results show that the algorithm is practical and effective.

Preprocessing of Low Response Data for Predictive Modeling

For training a model, the raw data have to go through various preprocessing phases like Cleaning, Missing Values Imputation, Dimension Variable reduction, and Sampling. These steps are data and problem specific and affect the accuracy of the model at a very large extent. For the current scenario, we have 2.2M records with 511 variables. This data was used in a Direct Mail Campaign of some Life Insurance Products and now we know which record had a positive response for the campaign. Rows records 2,259,747 Columns 511 Rows with positive response 2,739, i.e. Response Rate 0.1212 . The dataset is not complete, i.e. we have to take care of missing values.
