Design of Systolic Architecture Using Evolutionary Computation

This work presents a new concept for finding the optimal values for the entire three fundamental design vectors namely: scheduling, projection and processor so that not only architecture design could be feasible along with that maximum hardware utilizing efficiency could be achieved. This Approach also having the focus to minimize the total delay involved with systolic architecture design. Evolutionary programming has applied to find the optimal solution.

Presented work and result will provide facility to designer without any involvement to find out best suited architecture for a particular application. The Proposed method having capability to find the large number of optimal vectors for any algorithm which can be implemented in systolic architecture. The increasing demands of speed and performance in modern signal and image processing applications necessitate a revolutionary super '“computing technology. The proposed method is coded in MATLAB editor and simulation environment.

Evaluation of Dispersion Potential for Some Problem Soils in Central Myanmar

Dispersive soils which occur in central region of Myanmar are easily erodible and serious problem of stability of embankments, earth dams, earths and earth retaining structures. These soils are found in regions where the annual rainfall is less than 800 mm. Dispersive soil is structurally unstable and the presence of dispersive soil is indicated by occurrence of erosion gullies, sink holes, spew holes and piping.

In some parts of the central Myanmar, dispersive soils have to be used for construction purpose since no other soil material is available. Dispersion only occurs in non-saline or rain water. If dispersive soils have been used in the construction of earth-dams and embankments, serious piping and failures are occurred. In Myanmar, some problems are found in central region of Myanmar.

The study soil is investigated by emersion test in field and then physical tests are done in Yangon Technological University and chemical tests are done in Irrigation and Management of Water Utilization Department in Myanmar. According to these tests results, most of the study soils are dispersive.

This paper presents the results of study soils, soil structural problems along Yangon-Mandalay Express Way, dispersive potential rating for the study soils and the correlation between Exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) and Atterberg's limits.

Single Image Super-Resolution Using Analytical Solution for L2-L2 Algorithm

This paper addresses a unified work for achieving single image super-resolution, which consists of improving a high resolution from blurred, decimated and noisy version. Single image super-resolution is also known as image enhancement or image scaling up. In this paper mainly four steps are used for enhancement of single image resolution: input image, low sampling the image, an analytical solution and L2 regularization. This proposes to deal with the decimation and blurring operators by their particular properties in the frequency domain, which leads to a fast super-resolution approach.

And an analytical solution obtained and implemented for the L2-regularization i.e. L2-L2 optimized algorithm. This aims to reduce the computational cost of the existing methods by the proposed method. Simulation results taken on different images and different priors with an advance machine learning technique and conducted results compared with the existing method.

An Image Quality Assessment of Multi-Exposure Image Fusion by Improving SSIM

Multi-exposure image fusion (MEF) is viewed as a viable quality upgrade system generally received in purchaser hardware, A solitary caught picture of a genuine scene is normally lacking to uncover every one of the points of interest due to under-or over-uncovered locales. In this paper a multi-presentation picture fusion(MEF) calculation by streamlining a target quality measure in particular the MEF auxiliary similitude list (MEF-SSIM).

In particular, first develop the MEF-SSIM list by enhancing and growing the application extent of the current MEF-SSIM calculation. The last superb picture has little reliance on introductory picture. Trial comes about exhibit the predominance of the proposed technique as far as subjective and target assessment.

Analysis of Power Transfer Capability of a Long Transmission Line Using FACTS Devices

power transfer capability by analyzing and comparing several FACTS devices such as Static Var Compensator (SVC), Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) and Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) in long transmission line. These devices have been used in different locations such as sending end, middle and receiving end of transmission line. The suitable location and performance of each model has been analyzed. Firstly, real and reactive power profiles have been studied for uncompensated system and subsequent results are produced.

Then these results are compared with the results obtained after compensating the system using afore mentioned FACTS devices. Overall analysis indicates that better power (i.e. 87.24% power) has been transferred when SVC is connected at the middle of the transmission line. All simulations have been done in MATLAB/SIMULINK.

Determination of Dispersivity in A Laboratory Soil Column

In this study, a laboratory soil column experiment was carried out for estimating the dispersivity (?) in sandy loam soil by the inversion of the Advection-Dispersion Equation. An 89 cm deep and 15 cm diameter cylindrical column was filled with sandy loam soil in such a way that the bulk density of the soil in field condition was strictly satisfied in the column. Potassium bromide was used as the conservative tracer in the study.

The tracer concentration was allowed to pass through the column at a constant rate and the leachate collected at different time periods were tested for the concentration of bromide. The experiment was carried out until the relative concentration (c/c0) has reached 1. The calculated relative concentration was plotted against time for obtaining the observed breakthrough curve (BTC).

Another BTC was plotted using the analytical solution of Advection Dispersion Equation. The effective dispersion coefficient (De)value which gave the best fit between these two curves was chosen by trial and error method and the dispersivity of the soil was calculated (De = ?v)for a constant pore water velocity (v). The dispersivity of the sandy loam soil under study was found to be 1.7 cm which matches well with the previous researches.
