Traffic light Controller for the Congested Urban Route using PLC & Ambulance Detection using RF Transmitter & Receiver with Lab VIEW

Traffic signals are the most convenient method of controlling traffic in a busy junction. Present traffic Signals fail to control the traffic effectively when a particular lane has got more traffic than the other lanes. In this paperan intelligent traffic control system using PLC is proposed. System measures the traffic density on each road bycounting the number of vehicles and then takes the decision. Programming is done using ladder diagram.

Seimens S7-1200 PLC is have been used for the system implementation. Traffic management on the road has become a severe problem of today's society because of growth of the urbanization. This leads to traffic jam at the traffic junctions which in turn causes delay to ambulances. In order to overcome this problem, this paper presents a simple ambulance controlled traffic system.

The main objective of this system is that to control the traffic, allowing an ambulance to arrive at a particular location without it having to stop anywhere until the destination is reached. This system includes RF Transmitter & Receiver technology and Lab VIEW software.

A Spatio-Temporal Model for Massive Analysis of Shapefiles

Over the course of time an organization working with geospatial data accumulates tons of data both in the form of vector and raster formats. This data is a result of co-ordinated processes within the organization and external sources such as other collaborative organizations, projects and agencies, crowd sourcing efforts, etc. The massive amount of data accumulated as a result and the recent developments in the distributed processing of geo-data have catalyzed the development of our spatio-temporal data processing model. Our model is loosely based upon GS-Hadoop and uses dataset consisting of more than 300,000 shapefiles (a vector data format), which was accumulated over a span of several years from various sources and creation of custom geo-portals for government departments.

The developed model provides access to visual representation, extraction of features and related attributes from over more than 800 GB of shapefile data containing ten of billions of features. In this paper, we model a spatial data infrastructure for processing such huge amount of geo-data.

Investigation on Appropriateness of Turbo-matching of B60J68 and A58N70 Turbochargers for a Commercial Vehicle

Nowadays turbo-chargers are preferred for commercial vehicle especially to ensure the good operating conditions at higher loads. Turbo-matching is a complex task and carried out by many methods. Recent manufacturing trend added many components in supplier chain. This piece of investigation adopts test based methodologies to perform such matching. The simulation is used to predict the operating conditions at various speeds. The same verified with data-logger method which is like on road test.

The routes preferred for evaluating the various routes namely rough road, highway matching performance are: Rough Road, Highway, City Derive, slope up and slope down. The compressor map used for analyse the appropriateness of matching by methods and suggesting the appropriate turbocharger.

Vibration Analysis on Car seats due to Rough and Smooth Road conditions

By and large four wheeler vehicles are one of the well known vehicles in city transport. Four wheeler vehicles are presented to vibrations because of unpredictable surface of streets. This influences the well being and in addition inconvenience of the driver and travelers. The motions are moved into the group of driver and traveler through the body tissues, organs and frameworks of the individual causing different impacts on the structures inside the body before it is hosed and scattered. From writing review uncovers that vibrations are most dangerous to the wellbeing in the event that it surpasses the cutoff.

In the present work the test examination is completed. To quantify the extent of the vibrations following up on driver and in addition traveler for the distinctive street profile at various speed.

Dye Removal of Adsorption Study in Thespesia Populnea Seed

The potential of Thespesia Populnea Seed (TPS) powder, for the removal of Congo red 4B (CR) dye from aqueous solution was investigated. The adsorbent was characterized by FTIR and SEM analysis. Batch adsorption studies were conducted and various parameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage, initial dye concentration, contact time and temperature were studied to observe their effects in the dye adsorption process. The optimum conditions for the adsorption of Congo red 4B onto the adsorbent TPS was found to be contact time 75 min-1, pH 3, temperature 303K for an initial dye concentration 22 mg/L and adsorbent dosage 0.12gm.

The experimental equilibrium adsorption data fitted to the Langmuir isotherm and Freundlich isotherm model. The kinetic data conformed to the Pseudo second order kinetic model, suggesting that the rate limiting steps may be chemisorptions. Thermodynamic quantities such as Gibbs free energy ?G0, enthalpy ?H0 and entropy ?S0 were evaluated. The negative values of ?G0 and the negative value of ?H0 obtained indicated the spontaneous and exothermic nature of the adsorption processes while the negative ?S0 value obtained decreased randomness during the adsorption process.

Impact of Positive Sequence Admittance and Negative Sequence Conductance of D-Statcom to Compensate Variations in Voltage Levels in Distributed Generation Systems

Voltage fluctuations resulting from variable output power of renewable energy sources are strictly challenging power quality in distributed-generation systems. This paper presents a control method for distributed static synchronous compensator (D-STATCOM) to alleviate variation of both positive- and negative-sequence voltages. The D-STATCOM simultaneously operates as fundamental positive-sequence admittance and fundamental negative-sequence conductance to restore the positive sequence voltage to the nominal value as well as reduce the negative-sequence voltage to an allowable level.

Both admittance and conductance are dynamically tuned to improve voltage regulation performances in response to load changes and power variation of renewable sources. A proportional'“resonant current regulator with selectively harmonic compensation is realized to control the fundamental current of the D-STATCOM as well as reduce the harmonic current, which could be an advantage in practical applications due to high voltage distortion in low-voltage micro grids. Voltage-regulation performances are discussed for different D-STATCOM locations as well as different D-STATCOM currents. Computer simulations and laboratory tests validate effectiveness.

Discovering Anomalies Based on Saliency Detection and Segmentation in Surveillance System

This paper proposes extracting salient objects from motion fields. Salient object detection is an important technique for many content-based applications, but it becomes a challenging work when handling the clustered saliency maps, which cannot completely highlight salient object regions and cannot suppress background regions. We present algorithms for recognizing activity in monocular video sequences, based on discriminative gradient Random Field. Surveillance videos capture the behavioral activities of the objects accessing the surveillance system.

Some behavior is frequent sequence of events and some deviate from the known frequent sequences of events. These events are termed as anomalies and may be susceptible to criminal activities. In the past, work was based on discovering the known abnormal events. Here, the unknown abnormal activities are to be detected and alerted such that early actions are taken.
