Vibration Analysis on Car seats due to Rough and Smooth Road conditions

By and large four wheeler vehicles are one of the well known vehicles in city transport. Four wheeler vehicles are presented to vibrations because of unpredictable surface of streets. This influences the well being and in addition inconvenience of the driver and travelers. The motions are moved into the group of driver and traveler through the body tissues, organs and frameworks of the individual causing different impacts on the structures inside the body before it is hosed and scattered. From writing review uncovers that vibrations are most dangerous to the wellbeing in the event that it surpasses the cutoff.

In the present work the test examination is completed. To quantify the extent of the vibrations following up on driver and in addition traveler for the distinctive street profile at various speed.

Dye Removal of Adsorption Study in Thespesia Populnea Seed

The potential of Thespesia Populnea Seed (TPS) powder, for the removal of Congo red 4B (CR) dye from aqueous solution was investigated. The adsorbent was characterized by FTIR and SEM analysis. Batch adsorption studies were conducted and various parameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage, initial dye concentration, contact time and temperature were studied to observe their effects in the dye adsorption process. The optimum conditions for the adsorption of Congo red 4B onto the adsorbent TPS was found to be contact time 75 min-1, pH 3, temperature 303K for an initial dye concentration 22 mg/L and adsorbent dosage 0.12gm.

The experimental equilibrium adsorption data fitted to the Langmuir isotherm and Freundlich isotherm model. The kinetic data conformed to the Pseudo second order kinetic model, suggesting that the rate limiting steps may be chemisorptions. Thermodynamic quantities such as Gibbs free energy ?G0, enthalpy ?H0 and entropy ?S0 were evaluated. The negative values of ?G0 and the negative value of ?H0 obtained indicated the spontaneous and exothermic nature of the adsorption processes while the negative ?S0 value obtained decreased randomness during the adsorption process.

Impact of Positive Sequence Admittance and Negative Sequence Conductance of D-Statcom to Compensate Variations in Voltage Levels in Distributed Generation Systems

Voltage fluctuations resulting from variable output power of renewable energy sources are strictly challenging power quality in distributed-generation systems. This paper presents a control method for distributed static synchronous compensator (D-STATCOM) to alleviate variation of both positive- and negative-sequence voltages. The D-STATCOM simultaneously operates as fundamental positive-sequence admittance and fundamental negative-sequence conductance to restore the positive sequence voltage to the nominal value as well as reduce the negative-sequence voltage to an allowable level.

Both admittance and conductance are dynamically tuned to improve voltage regulation performances in response to load changes and power variation of renewable sources. A proportional'“resonant current regulator with selectively harmonic compensation is realized to control the fundamental current of the D-STATCOM as well as reduce the harmonic current, which could be an advantage in practical applications due to high voltage distortion in low-voltage micro grids. Voltage-regulation performances are discussed for different D-STATCOM locations as well as different D-STATCOM currents. Computer simulations and laboratory tests validate effectiveness.

Discovering Anomalies Based on Saliency Detection and Segmentation in Surveillance System

This paper proposes extracting salient objects from motion fields. Salient object detection is an important technique for many content-based applications, but it becomes a challenging work when handling the clustered saliency maps, which cannot completely highlight salient object regions and cannot suppress background regions. We present algorithms for recognizing activity in monocular video sequences, based on discriminative gradient Random Field. Surveillance videos capture the behavioral activities of the objects accessing the surveillance system.

Some behavior is frequent sequence of events and some deviate from the known frequent sequences of events. These events are termed as anomalies and may be susceptible to criminal activities. In the past, work was based on discovering the known abnormal events. Here, the unknown abnormal activities are to be detected and alerted such that early actions are taken.

Tackling Real-Coded Genetic Algorithms

Genetic algorithms play a significant role, as search techniques for handling complex spaces, in many fields such as artificial intelligence, engineering, robotic, etc. Genetic algorithms are based on the underlying genetic process in biological organisms and on the natural evolution principles of populations. These algorithms process a population of chromosomes, which represent search space solutions, with three operations: selection, crossover and mutation.Under its initial formulation, the search space solutions are coded using the binary alphabet.

However, the good properties related with these algorithms do not stem from the use of this alphabet; other coding types have been considered for the representation issue, such as real coding, which would seem particularly natural when tackling optimization problems of parameters with variables in continuous domains. In this paper we review the features of real-coded genetic algorithms. Different models of genetic operators and some mechanisms available for studying the behavior of this type of genetic algorithms are revised and compared.

Role of Instrumentation Data Analysis in Safety Monitoring of Giant Structures

The importance of Safety monitoring of old structures e.g., Bridges, Dams etc need not be overemphasized. Monitoring of several significant parameters always essential for prediction of structural behavior of the unit. Need for proper calibration and maintenance of embedded instruments are discussed. Recording of data collected in a regular interval on site from few significant instruments embedded in the structure followed by Statistical analysis of correlated data is an important tool for health monitoring of structure.

The issue is discussed with a mention of dam instrumentation and data analysis. It helps in commenting about trend of permanent settlement component of dam deflection of a few geographically supported dam, hence justifies instrumentation in giant structures from safety point of view in turn.

Dynamical Modelling and Control in the Polymer Extrusion Process

In this paper, the results of experimental investigation are using PVC molten is used as the coating material in a extrusion unit at different extruder temperatures, extruder speeds and shear rate value. The quality of extrusion is emphasis the extruded plastics material viscosity as first indicator parameters in polymer extrusion. Also parameter which primarily determines of the viscosity is shear rate. The other parameters are extruder temperature, and single screw rotation speed. This nümerical model to evaluate the viscosities of thermoplastic polymers in the extrusion process for quality control proposed in this article.

PVC was used in this study to test the effectiveness of the model. Comparing the available results, it was found that the viscosities obtained with the nümerical model are in agreement with those obtained by using an in line rheometer. The result shows that the this method can be applied to control the polymer extrusion process. The topic of this paper is the design and experimental testing of a PID control system for the desired of the barrel temperature, extruder pressure and shear rate in a polymer single single screw extruder.

Simulations of PID Control algorithms for coating process have been made and the results of these simulations was observed. There are a comparison of PID Controller and nümerical results and there are comments about this comparison in these studies. The simulations of the algorithms are done in MATLAB 2010 a packaged program environment.
