Dynamical Modelling and Control in the Polymer Extrusion Process

In this paper, the results of experimental investigation are using PVC molten is used as the coating material in a extrusion unit at different extruder temperatures, extruder speeds and shear rate value. The quality of extrusion is emphasis the extruded plastics material viscosity as first indicator parameters in polymer extrusion. Also parameter which primarily determines of the viscosity is shear rate. The other parameters are extruder temperature, and single screw rotation speed. This nümerical model to evaluate the viscosities of thermoplastic polymers in the extrusion process for quality control proposed in this article.

PVC was used in this study to test the effectiveness of the model. Comparing the available results, it was found that the viscosities obtained with the nümerical model are in agreement with those obtained by using an in line rheometer. The result shows that the this method can be applied to control the polymer extrusion process. The topic of this paper is the design and experimental testing of a PID control system for the desired of the barrel temperature, extruder pressure and shear rate in a polymer single single screw extruder.

Simulations of PID Control algorithms for coating process have been made and the results of these simulations was observed. There are a comparison of PID Controller and nümerical results and there are comments about this comparison in these studies. The simulations of the algorithms are done in MATLAB 2010 a packaged program environment.

Wollastonite: An Energy Efficient Building Material

Cement production is synonymous to green house emissions and mineral resource depletion. So as to produce about 1tonne of cement, 1.5 tonne lime stone is required and nearly 1tonne green house gases are emitted out. This article present sustainable use of calcium meta silicate mineral 'œwollastonite' (CaSio3) as a partial replacement of cement. Six concrete mixes were prepared by replacing cement with wollastonite (0-25%). Test result showed that 10% wollastonite can effectively replace cement with improvement in strength and durability parameters. Incorporation of wollastonite in cement production will help in sustainable development of country.

Energy data collection by survey and its comparison with bill data

In the Implementation of any electrical powergeneration project, the basic requirement is the totalelectrical energy demand estimation. In order to estimatethe total electrical energy demand, various methods canbe used but neither of those methods can give the exactdemand. Therefore approximate analysis of energydemand is always taken in to the consideration. In thisstudy three villages are selected in Rajasthan state andelectrical energy demand of those villages is estimated. For the estimation of energy demands two sources of dataare taken in to consideration.

i.e. survey data and bill data.Survey data is collected by a quessionaire based surveyand bill data are taken from electricity DistributionCompany for the three selected village. On the basis ofthese two data, energy consumption parameters such asEnergy consumption of village in MWh/annum, Energyconsumption of family in kWh/annum, Per capita Energyconsumption in kWh/annum, Energy consumption ofvillage in MWh/month, Energy consumption of family inkWh/month, Per capita Energy consumption inkWh/month and Average Power in kW/month arecalculated for each village .these energy consumptionparameters are calculated in both the cases i.e. by usingsurvey data and by using bill data, and comparison hasmade in tabular manner as well as graphical manner inorder to observe deviation between the parametersproperly

A Review on Effect of Nano Particle Blended with Diesel Fuel in the Compression Ignition Engine

Diesel engine play important role in the field of commercial transportation and agricultural machinery on account of its superior fuel efficiency. Due to shortage of diesel fuel and its increasing cost as well as hazardous emission emitted by diesel engine, the use of biodiesel and its blends has gained importance over the past two decades due to its environmental and economic benefits. Many countries are evaluating a variety of alternative fuels for use in motor vehicles in an attempt to reduce greenhouse emissions, global warming and to improve the energy security of the nations.

Blended fuel is a replacement for the diesel fuel in CI engines due to its significant environmental benefits. The use of blended fuel leads to reduction in particulate matter, hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions that decrease in fuel consumption and the nitrous oxide emission on diesel engine without any modification. The addition of Nano particles with blended diesel fuel increases the efficiency and decreases the emissions.

Metal oxides such as alumina, titanium oxide, cerium oxide in the form of nano particles can be used to increase the efficiency as well as to decrease emission. In this review paper work has been done to demonstrate the effect of various nanoparticles added diesel and biodiesel on performance and emission characteristics of CI engine.

Simulation of 16 bit ALU using Verilog-hdl

In many digital circuits ALU is a basic building block. It can be used in integer arithmetic computations and as Complex operation. This research paper is based on the simulation of 16 bit ALU using VHDL. The design was implemented using VHDL Xilinx Synthesis tool ISE and targeted for Spartan device. An ALU performs following operations '“ Addition, subtraction, multiplication, Not, logical shift right, logical shift left, rotate right, rotate left, OR, AND, XOR, NAND, NOR, XNOR and comparison between two signals.

Video Retrieval Systems Methods, Techniques, Trends and Challenges

Video Retrieval (VR) has been increasingly accustomed describe the method of retrieving desired videos from an oversized assortment on the premise of options that are extracted from the videos. The extracted options are accustomed index, classify and retrieve desired and relevant videos whereas filtering out unwanted ones. Videos are often pictured by their audio, texts, faces and objects in their frames. An individual video possesses distinctive motion options, color histograms, motion histograms, text options, audio options, features extracted from faces and objects existing in its frames.

Videos containing helpful info and occupying significant house within the databases are under-utilized unless VR systems capable of retrieving desired videos by sharply choosing relevant whereas filtering out unwanted videos exist. Results have shown performance improvement (higher precision and recall values) once options appropriate to particular kinds of videos are used with wisdom. Various combinations of those options also can be accustomed reach desired performance.

During this paper a fancy and wide space of VR and VR systems has been bestowed in a very comprehensive and easy approach. Processes at completely different stages in VR systems are represented in a very systematic approach. Types of options, their mixtures and their utilization ways, techniques and algorithms are shown. Numerous querying methods, a number of the options get similarity like Kullback-Leibler distance method and relevancy Feedback technique are mentione dlike

A Novel Technique of Power Extraction from a Conventional Fluorescent Lamp

Fluorescent lamps are commonly used in our homes as a source of light. The conventional lamps use a choke and a starter arrangement for starting discharge in the tube. Under normal working conditions an appreciable potential drop occurs across the choke. The circuit being inductive the power factor is also low. Now is there any way of utilizing this voltage drop? Experiments were carried out with a view to using this potential drop to provide energy at low wattage without hampering the normal operation of the tube light.

Interesting results were obtained. The power factor was also found to improve. In this paper a method of utilizing the voltage drop across the choke of a fluorescent lamp as a source of energy has been elaborated.
