Charaterization of Coatings on Tool: A review

Improvement in performance of cutting tool for high-speed machining of hard and difficult-to-cut material has remained a problem for quality and economy of production. Hard coatings are well known to improve the performance of cutting tools in machining applications. Physical and chemical vapour deposition techniques have found increasingly wider use in such applications in recent years. To improve the lifetime of a tool for which it functions properly, the cutting tool has to be protected, often by coatings that are specifically designed to prevent certain damage modes that occur in particular applications. In fact, over 90% of all cemented carbide inserts are currently coated using chemical vapor deposition, CVD, physical vapor deposition, PVD, or their combination. This paper will present coatings that are specially designed to protect the cutting tool and extend its functionality (lifetime).

Water Quality Measuring and Monitoring: A Survey

Water is important resource in our life. It plays vital role in our human life, animals and eco system. But, Now-a-days water had polluted due to human activities. For that purpose, it is important to measure and monitor the quality of water. This survey describes, what the techniques available to measure are and monitor quality of water.

Scheduling Algorithms in Cloud Computing - An Extensive Survey

In any computing environment, the availability of resources is finite, so effective utilization of resources is very important. To achieve effective management of the available resources in a scalable environment optimal mechanism is required. In order to do this, choosing of scheduling algorithm is important. The scheduling techniques should beselected in such a way that the various user demands are satisfied. In this paper, an overview of different scheduling techniques like cost and energy aware scheduling, cloud based workflow scheduling, an improved ant colony algorithm in cloud computing environment are analysed.

Minimization of Power Losses In Radial Distribution System- A Review

In our country power is distributed to various areas through the grid. Different generating stations generate electricity of 11kv and transfers power to the grid. Then the power is transferred to the substations through the transformers. This power is distributed to the consumers through various distribution systems to improve the efficiency. The efficiency of the distribution system is less due to more losses and natural calamities will affect the distribution system.

It may cause the failure of the power supply to the consumers and it will affect the entire power distribution system or we need to re install the entire distribution lines. These all are the disadvantages of distribution system. Under peak loaded condition bulk amount of power is needed to meet the load demand. And under heavy loaded condition the supply to the consumers will shut down for some time to meet the load demand.

Therefore, the entire efficiency of the distribution system is less. However, this paper is discussing about losses allocation at each node in radial distribution system and improving efficiency of radial distribution system. So, we need to improve the efficiency of the distribution system. By using different techniques, we can improve the efficiency of the radial distribution system.

Improving Analog Performance and Suppression of Subthreshold Swing using Hetero-Junction Less Double Gate Tunnel FETs

In this paper, we investigated a new device, Hetero-junction less (H-JL) Double Gate Tunnel Field Effect Transistors (DGTFET) with high-k. III-V semiconductor material (like InAs-Si) gives excellent performance when InAs uses at source side, because of low band gap of 0.36 eV it reduces the potential barrier height of source channel interface causing maximum carriers are fastly tunnel across the source to drain in ON state whereas Si, at the drain side as higher bandgap Of increasing the barrier height of drain channel interface causing lower quantum tunneling occur, as a result good ION/IOFF ratio.

The InAs-source JLDGTFET with high-k (Hfo2) at 20 nm channel length provide a tremendous characteristics with high ratio , a point subthreshold swing (SS) and average SS is at room temperature. The simulation study of proposed device is done using sentaurus tools.

A Novel Design of a 4 Bit Reversible ALU using Kogge-Stone Adder

Reversible circuits are one promising direction withapplications in the field of low-power design or quantumcomputation. However, no real design flow for this new kind ofcircuits exists so far. Significant contributions have been madein the literature towards the design of reversible logic gatestructures and arithmetic units, however, there are not manyefforts directed towards the design of reversible ALUs.

In thispaper, a novel programmable reversible Kogge-Stone adder ispresented and verified, and its implementation in the design ofa reversible Arithmetic Logic Unit is demonstrated. Then, reversible implementations of ripple-carry, Kogge-Stone carrylook-ahead adders are analyzed and compared in terms ofdelay. The proposed design consists of the reversible Fredkin,Feynman, MG, HNG, PG and RKSC gates. The performancecharacteristics analysis is carried out in Xilinx environment.
