Preparation and Characterization of Green Synthesis GO/Metal/metal Oxide Nano-composites Applied for Nano Fluid Applications - A Review

The reduced graphene oxide (RGO) was fabricated by modified Hummers and chemical reduction methods. CRGO was characterized by X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscope and Raman Spectroscope. The stability, zeta potential, thermal conductivity and rheological properties of the as-prepared nanofluids were systematically investigated using different experimental methods. Metal/RGO, metal oxide/RGO nano composite was prepared by Ultrafine and water dispersive approach. The obtained characterized with XRD, Raman Spectroscopy, FTIRs, and SEM. This method is that the diameter of nanoparticles decorated by rGO is in the range of 3-5 nm. Those results demonstrate an outstanding potential for the use of GO/Metaloxide/Metal nano-fluids as suitable replacements for the conventional fluids in heat exchanger applications.

Modeling and Simulation of Solar Photovoltaic System

Solar energy is a vital untapped resource in a tropical country like ours. The main hindrance for the penetration and reach of solar PV systems is their low efficiency and high capital cost. The efficiency of solar PV is very low. In order to increase the efficiency, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques are to be undertaken to match the source and load property. These techniques are employed in PV systems to make full utilization of PV array output power. Recently, many MPPT algorithms of PV system have been proposed which depends on solar irradiation and temperature, but perturb and observe (P&O) and Incremental conductance algorithms are basic and most widely used.

This project firstly introduces a Mat lab Simulink of photovoltaic array. To achieve the maximum power point tracking the Incremental Conductance method and perturb and observed (P&O) method are used. These two algorithms are employed with PV model along with converter in Mat lab Simulink. Three different converter boost, buck boost and cuk converter are design according to requirement and used. Few comparisons such as voltage, current and power output for each different combination have been recorded.

A Review Paper on Solar Panel Based Smart Irrigation System using GSM Module

Solar powered smart irrigation systems are very useful for farmers.Solar energy has emerged as viable source of renewable energy over the past few decades and is now used for various applications such as emergency lighting, water heaters, and industrial application. It is a cheap source of energy. Thesystem consists of water pump which is solar powered with a moisture sensor used for automatic water flow control, light ambient sensor, Temperature sensorand GSM technology. It has mainly working in two modes i.e. manual mode and automatic mode.

We have provide a switch which controls that modeIn this RF transmitter and RF receiver will be used to operate the overall system. A polar single axis solar panel tracker is implemented andit has an adjustable horizontal motor controlled axisandfixed vertical axis. If 2 to 3 degrees of misalignment happens then the tracker will correct its position and prevents wastage of power by continuously running motor. The light intensity of the two LDR is compared and according to the higher intensity of LDR the rotation of solar panel is decided and it is adjusted. To prevent the panel from rotating 360-° the stepper motor will have overturn triggers.

A Review on Economical and Technical Analysis for Modelling of Hybrid Energy System

Energy demand is increasing day by day due to globalization and papulation. So that by using non-renewable sources we cannot reach this energy demand because of increased cost per generation. And also from these sources pollution occurs is also more. So that if we use renewable sources, we can meet this energy demand. This paper gives review on different optimization methods of HES such as by using Artificial intelligence methods, by using software tools, by ensuring maximum energy production from low cost energy sources, by using DSM strategy and by using hybrid models. Finally, comparison and results are discussed.

Design and Analysis of Chain Block System for Evaluation of Brake Load

Chain hoist system play an important role in an industry to carry the load/materials from one place to another. Computer aided design and analysis of chain hoist system is one of the techniques used in manufacturing sectors to arrive for the best manufacturing condition, which is an essential need for industry manufacturing of Chain Hoist at lower cost. The objective of this paper work is to study the design of various components which are used in chain hoist system. A sufficient amount of research work has been described by researchers on the modification of chain block system. In a vision of above, this paper work present a critical literature review on components design of hoisting mechanism of an EOT crane.

Soil Stabilization using Fly Ash and Cotton Fiber

Mixing of fiber for ground improvement has been practiced for recent years. Many researches has shown the expected results. This paper mainly deals with the ground improvement technique using both Fly Ash and cotton fiber. The combination of them gives a satisfactory value of its practical application. Both Fly Ash and Cotton fiber are treated as waste materials in our country in spite of having its engineering significances.

Here all the tests were performed accepting the Fly Ash percent is 10 for maximum bearing capacity of soil. Three types of sample were prepared as per 0.3%, 0.5%, 0.7% of cotton fiber. For instances, it deliberately increases the Dry Density of soil up to 48.05 KN/m3 where as normal unreinforced soil sample gives about 22 KN/m3. The Ultimate bearing capacity increases up to 80.65 Kpa whereas the unreinforced soil sample gives for 35 Kpa. The result of California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test gives desired value (23%) than unreinforced soil (17%).

The CBR test is performed only for 0.7% of cotton fiber where maximum stress is found. The most significant part in this study is to show the variation on cotton fiber for ground improvement technique at different ratio. This paper shows the gradual increase in Deviator stress for UCS tests for the increase in the percent of cotton fiber mixing with Fly Ash. This research may meet the need of ground having low strength at important sites.

IoT Based Smart Energy Meter

The IOT based energy meter is based on Arduino. This system eliminates the human involvement in electricity maintenance. The theft of electricity increases the costs paid by customers. Hence this system is used for the detection of theft. The energy meter is connected to the Arduino. The Arduino checks the main meter and sub meter reading. If the difference between the main meter and sub meter is occurred then the message that theft has occurred will be displayed on the LCD display as well as on the thingspeak.

The comparison between the main meter and sub meter reading is used to check the theft status. Customer can be access the thingspeak from anywhere on the globe at the anytime using the consumer number. Hence the customer can be easily access their energy usage.
