Privacy Preserving Approaches for High Dimensional Data

This paper proposes a model for hiding sensitive association rules for Privacy preserving in high dimensional data. Privacy preservation is a big challenge in data mining. The protection of sensitive information becomes a critical issue when releasing data to outside parties. Association rule mining could be very useful in such situations. It could be used to identify all the possible ways by which '˜non-confidential' data can reveal '˜confidential' data, which is commonly known as '˜inference problem'. This issue is solved using Association Rule Hiding (ARH) techniques in Privacy Preserving Data Mining (PPDM).

Association rule hiding aims to conceal these association rules so that no sensitive information can be mined from the database.

Recent Scenario of Solar Power Street Light(SPSL) with Auto-Intensity Control and How to Increase it Efficiency

Solar System has an abundant form of renewable energy which has potential to fulfill billions of watt of electricity. Now a day solar system is required to generate electricity due to sky rocketing price of oil, natural gas, coal. A solar lighting system which can make a 18x3 w lamp glow continuously for about (10) hours if the battery is fully charged has been constructed. Here, solar energy is collected with the aid of a solar panel and thus, a battery is charged during day time with the help of a simple charging circuit.

At dusk, they turn on (usually automatically, although some of them include a switch for on, off and automatic) and remain illuminated overnight, depending on how much sunlight they receive during the day time. During night time, this stored energy is used to light. The device can be used for small-scale lighting applications in remote areas that are far away from the power grid. The system has a panel to collect the sun's energy, a battery to store that energy and a light source to use the energy.

The system operates like a bank account. Withdrawals from the battery to power the light source must be compensated for by commensurate deposits of energy form the solar panels. The main objective is that LED Street lighting is a fresh new alternative to traditional street lamps such as LPS, HPS, or MH street lights.

To Study the Behavior of Fresh and Hardened Concrete by Using Waste Rubber as Partial Replacement of Coarse Aggregates

This report presents a study on the effect of partial replacement of coarse aggregates by rubber tyre aggregates on the property of concrete. Utilizing the waste rubber tyers in the form of aggregates as reinforcement in the concrete solve the problem of disposing the waste and increase the flexural strength of concrete. Different tests were conducted on the concrete with varying percentage of rubber tyre aggregates and comparing those results with normal concrete.

Data presented includes workability, compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexure tensile strength and flexibility. This report describes an experimental study on mixing rubber aggregates with concrete at different mixing ratios (0, 5, 10, and 15) % by weight of coarse aggregates. The tests conducted were workability, compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexure tensile strength. Though there is decrease in compressive strength, workability, split tensile strength, flexural strength and flexibility get increased.

Control Strategies of Frequency Regulation in Wind Based Power System: A Review

The increasing wind penetration in today's power grids has led to growing interest in the frequency control capabilities of wind generation. Several publications have proposed a variety of methods both on the levels of a single turbine and of a wind farm. This paper focuses on the role of wind generation in a system's primary frequency control. Wind turbine control methods that enable frequency support and control are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed.

Rural Electrification by Solar Power LED's

Around 25,000 villages are located in remote and inaccessible areas and hence could not be electrified through conventional grid extension in India. The functionality of the system varies across the placed and across the seasons. During rainy season on an average one luminary works 2 to 3 hours. During winter and summer on an average one luminaire works 4 to 5 hours. However, performance declines over the years. Use of kerosene is reducing in rural areas. Nearly 53 to 69 percent reported that there is significant improvement in their children's education, and 37 to 78 per cent reported that there is improvement in the standard of living after the installation of solar lighting by LED's. Beneficiaries now spend more time on income generating activities.

Crime rate has also declined due to availability of solar street lights in the village. A basic system consists of a small solar panel, a battery, a charge controller, LED lights, and a universal outlet for charging cell-phones or other small appliances. This approach differs from the many for-profit organizations, who use conventional business strategies, simply importing their technology and sell the product with financing to those who can afford it. My community centered capacity building strategy differs from current industry players in that it allows for increased local capacity and empowerment.[1].

Implementation of TI-SEPIC Converter for Optimal Utilization Of PV Power

In this project qualitative analysis and controller design of a TI-SEPIC converter for optimal utilization photovoltaic power is presented. This converter is essentially combination of conventional buck and SEPIC converters sharing common components. On the account of the integration load side only one inductor is sufficient enough for performing the power conversion in both Buck and SEPIC converters. Here the function of the lower SEPIC converter is to extract maximum power from the PV and feeds into the load, while the remaining load power demand is supplied by the dc source through a voltage-mode controlled buck converter. Proposed integrated Converter performance is verified through MAT/SIM software simulations and then verified with measurement results obtained the laboratory prototype converter system.

Performance Analysis of Bayesian Methods to for the Spectrum Utilization in Cognitive Radio

Cognitive radio is an exciting wireless technology that has been introduced for the efficient used of spectrum. Using cognitive radios (CRs), the secondary users (unlicensed users) are allowed to use the spectrum which is originally allocated to primary users (PUs) as far as the active primary users are not using it temporarily. In order to prevent harmful interference to primary users, the SUs need to perform spectrum sensing before transmitting signal over the spectrum.

In this paper we use an optimal Bayesian detector for digitally modulated primary user to improve the spectrum utilization, without prior knowledge of transmitted sequence of the primary signals. And further suboptimal detectors in low and high SNR regime. We provide the performance analysis in terms of Detection probability and False alarm probability.
