Implementation of TI-SEPIC Converter for Optimal Utilization Of PV Power

In this project qualitative analysis and controller design of a TI-SEPIC converter for optimal utilization photovoltaic power is presented. This converter is essentially combination of conventional buck and SEPIC converters sharing common components. On the account of the integration load side only one inductor is sufficient enough for performing the power conversion in both Buck and SEPIC converters. Here the function of the lower SEPIC converter is to extract maximum power from the PV and feeds into the load, while the remaining load power demand is supplied by the dc source through a voltage-mode controlled buck converter. Proposed integrated Converter performance is verified through MAT/SIM software simulations and then verified with measurement results obtained the laboratory prototype converter system.

Performance Analysis of Bayesian Methods to for the Spectrum Utilization in Cognitive Radio

Cognitive radio is an exciting wireless technology that has been introduced for the efficient used of spectrum. Using cognitive radios (CRs), the secondary users (unlicensed users) are allowed to use the spectrum which is originally allocated to primary users (PUs) as far as the active primary users are not using it temporarily. In order to prevent harmful interference to primary users, the SUs need to perform spectrum sensing before transmitting signal over the spectrum.

In this paper we use an optimal Bayesian detector for digitally modulated primary user to improve the spectrum utilization, without prior knowledge of transmitted sequence of the primary signals. And further suboptimal detectors in low and high SNR regime. We provide the performance analysis in terms of Detection probability and False alarm probability.

Use of Demorlished Concrete in Pavement

Recycled aggregates consist of crushed, graded inorganic particles processed from the material that have been used in the constructions and demolition debris. The target of the present thesis work is to determine the strength characteristic of recycled aggregates for the application in concrete pavement construction. The scope of the thesis is to determine and compare the compressive strength, flexural strength and sulphate resistance of concrete by using different percentages of recycled aggregates.

The investigation was carried out by using workability test, compressive strength test, flexural strength test and sulphate resistance test. A total of five mixes with replacement of coarse aggregates with 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% recycled coarse aggregates were studied. The water cement ratio was kept constant at 0.38. It was observed that workability of concrete was decreased with the increase in recycled aggregates in concrete. For the strength characteristics, the results showed that the strengths of recycled aggregate concrete was comparable to the strengths of natural aggregates concrete.

Green Plastics: Poly-lactic Acid Synthesis from Waste Tamarind Seed Powder & its Applications

In the era of sustainable development there is a necessity to produce biodegradable polymers to minimize the soil pollution. With the need of the hour Green plastic is the polymeric material formulated for specific applications, which is derived from the Tamarind seed de-oiled cake starch. Through the series of unit operations, starch which is produced can be fermented by Lactobacillus delbrueckii, Lactobacillus amylophylus and Lactobacillus amylovirus. The polymerization reaction of Lactic Acid is carried out by using a catalyst. To cope up with the scarcity of valuable petroleum product & to minimize the environmental pollution, Green plastic materials play an important role for sustainable development.

0.18µm CMOS Comparator for High-Speed Applications

In the electronics industry the Low Power Comparator using High Speed in Analog to Digital Converters. In electronic device Comparator are mostly used in Analog to Digital converter (ADC). In ADC are used for the delay produced and power consumed by an ADC. I design a 0.18-µm CMOS Comparator for High-Speed Application. The advantage of programmable hysteresis to the comparators are also discussed. Tanner EDA is used for the design and simulation for the comparator circuits The difference between the proposed comparator to the existing double tail comparator result are produced.

Mixed Bonding Method of High Voltage Cable

In three single phase high voltage underground cable induce voltages and currents in their sheaths. The sheath induced currents are undesirable and generate power losses and reduce the cable ampacity whereas the induced voltages can generate electric shocks to the workers that keep the power line. This means that when dealing with three single phase high voltage underground cable, it is very important to know the sheath currents called circulating currents that can circulate throughout the sheath and sheath voltage of the cables.

It is very useful to know their values and the technique to reduce the sheath voltage of the high voltage Cable. This study presents as technique known as Mixed bonding technique combination of cross bonding and single point bonding to reduce the sheath voltage of the long length cable route.
