Study and Analysis of Nonlinear Constrained Components A Study of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle

Today transportation is one of the rapidly evolving technologies in the world. With the stringent mandatory emission regulations and high fuel prices, researchers and manufacturers are ever increasingly pushed to the frontiers of research in pursuit of alternative propulsion systems. Electrically propelled vehicles are one of the most promising solutions among all the other alternatives, as far as reliability, availability, feasibility and safety issues are concerned. However, the shortcomings of a fully electric vehicle in fulfilling all performance requirements make the electrification of the conventional engine powered vehicles in the form of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle PHEV the most feasible propulsion systems.

Equilibrium Study of Natural Non Toxic Solvents for Recovery of Trans- Aconitic Acid by Reactive Extraction

Trans-aconitic acid Propene-1 2 3-tricarboxylic acid is an organic acid and is generally found in sugar cane. It is used as accidulent in food industry and can be used in synthesis of plasticizers. It is widely used in tissue engineering application. The present work focused on extraction of Trans- aconitic acid from its aqueous solution by using Aliquat 336 using natural non toxic diluents like Sunflower oil, Groundnut oil and Rice bran oil. Physical extraction and chemical extraction has been done to find out equilibrium parameters such as distribution constant, degree of extraction, loading ratio and equilibrium complexion constant. The experimental results are distribution coefficient sunflower oil 2.81 , groundnut oil 2.80 and for Rice oil 2.92 , degree of extraction 56 to 81 for sunflower oil, 59 to 86 for groundnut oil, 58 to 82 for Rice bran oil , loading ratio 0.5 and equilibrium complexation constant 1.1152 l gm equi for Sunflower oil, 1.6128 l gm equi for groundnut oil and 4.5556 l gm equi for Rice Bran Oil. Water co extraction has also been studied, not more than 3 .

A Review on Bandwidth Improvement using Metamaterial

Over the past one decade, there is a rapid growth in development of various applications involving wireless communication. The performance of all such wireless systems depends on the design and proper functioning of the antenna. Metamaterials are artificial metallic structures having simultaneously negative permittivity and permeability µ , which leads to negative refractive index.

No other material in the world shows the above properties like Metamaterial. Due to these unusual properties Metamaterial can change the electric and magnetic property of electromagnetic wave passing through it and because of these reasons when Metamaterial is used in the fabrication of antennas the required properties can be enhanced. Using this Metamaterial antenna the demerits of ordinary patch antenna like narrow bandwidth can be overcome.

Image Tagging With Social Assistance

Nowadays Social Media focus on users to billions of images, famous e commerce web sites such as Flipkart, Amazon etc. Tag-primarily based definitely image are seeking for is an essential method to find photos shared with the aid of manner of clients in social networks. But, a manner to make the top ranked result applicable and with range is difficult. In this paper, we advocate a topic diverse ranking method for tag-primarily based photo retrieval with the eye of selling the situation insurance overall performance. First, we bring together a tag graph based totally absolutely at the similarity among every tag.

Then network detection approach is accomplished to mine the subject community of every tag. After that, inter-community and intra-network ranking are added to gather the very last retrieved results. Inside the inter-network rating way, an adaptive random stroll model is employed to rank the network primarily based at the multi-information of every topic community

Wireless Body Area Network A Review on Issues, Routing Techniques and Various Applications

Advancements in recent wireless technology, integrated circuit, electronic devices and autonomous sensing of physiological parameters, gave the birth of human monitoring system or short range wireless communication network, called Wireless Body Area Networks WBANs . It is one of the major applications of Wireless Sensor Networks WSNs , used in medical and as well as non-medical field. In WBAN, various tiny, intelligent, low powered and invasive non-invasive sensor nodes are placed inside or outside the human body to collect the data.

These sensor nodes are referred to as independent device with limited communication capabilities. Deployed sensor nodes are intended to early detection of various types of life threatening diseases viz. cancer, asthma etc., using different types of biomedical sensor nodes like ECG Electrocardiogram , EEG Electroencephalogram , pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure etc.

Effect of Tsunami Loads on Ulak Karang Shelter Building in Padang City

In recent years, tsunami surges several regions in Indonesia, particularly in Sumatera Island which cause the damage to various facilities and infrastructures, even inflicting considerable casualties. The last strong undersea earthquake in Mentawai, West Sumatera on 2009, has warned the government to face the tsunami disaster in next big earthquake. Therefore, it is needed rescue strategies mitigation in the form of vertical evacuation in high and strong buildings, one of which is in the form of providing shelter at vulnerable area to tsunami. Padang City has built a five story shelter building made of Reinforced Concrete Structures located in Ulak Karang, North Padang. Based on the review, there is no tsunami loads consider by the design consultant in designing the shelter due to there is no Indonesian standard code in designing the shelter building. Actually, the tsunami loads should be considered if the shelter will be used for evacuation due to earthquake and tsunami. This paper presents the effect of tsunami loads on Ulak Karang Shelter structure. The comparison of structural responses on the shelter structure with and without impacted by tsunami loads based on FEMA 646 standard code was also discussed.

Analysis of Retrofiton School Building With Shear Wall and Steel Bracing

The earthquake on 30 September 2009with7,6 magnitude occurred in West Sumatera and it caused the damage to both physical public facilities and infrastructures. The education sectors suffered from structural damage to the school buildings. In order to establish of the new Indonesian Seismic Code, SNI03 1726 2012, it will affect to the performance of structures which was built before the establishment of the new seismic code, in which the building may not be adequate to with stand the working loads. In this study, the performance and structural strength of a two story RC school building SMAN3 Batusangkar designed using previous seismic code SNI03 1726 2002 and it was constructed before2009, was evaluated based on the new seismic code. The result of evaluation on the SMAN3 Batusangkar building shows that the building cannot resist the working loads applied to the structure, especially the earthquake loads, so the building structure needs to be retrofitted. Two retro fitted methods of the builiding were proposed in this study, they are using shear wall and steel bracing systems, which installed on the building frame with different locations. The addition of shear wall and steel bracing are very effective in strengthening the building structure, where the load bearing capacity of the structure increased significantly and the building is able to resist all working loads.
