GRS '“ Gesture based Recognition System for Indian Sign Language Recognition System for Deaf and Dumb People

Recognition languages are developed for the better communication of the challenged people. The recognition signs include the combination of various with hand gestures, movement, arms and facial expressions to convey the words thought. The languages used in sign are rich and complex as equal as to languages that are spoken. As the technological world is growing rapidly, the sign languages for human are made to recognised by systems in order to improve the accuracy and the multiply the various sign languages with newer forms.

In order to improve the accuracy in detecting the input sign, a model has been proposed. The proposed model consists of three phases a training phase, a testing phase and a storage output phase. A gesture is extracted from the given input picture. The extracted image is processed to remove the background noise data with the help of threshold pixel image value. After the removal of noise from the image and the filtered image to trained model is tested with a user input and then the detection accuracy is measured. A total of 50 sign gestures were loaded into the training model.

The trained model accuracy is measured and then the output is extracted in the form of the mentioned language symbol. The detection mechanism of the proposed model is compared with the other detection methods such as Hidden Markov Model(HMM), Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN) and Support Vector Machine(SVM). The classification is done by means of a Support Vector Machine(SVM) which classifies at a higher accuracy. The accuracy obtained was 99 percent in comparison with the other detection methods.

Improving Surface Finishing Quality by Using Radius Carbide Tips

In the metal cutting industry, Tip s cutter plays an important role in cutting metal to obtain the various required shapes and sizes. It is also an essential cutting tool for the engineering productions in the various aspects of engineering industries. For example, Automobile, Aerospace, Precision Engineering, Metal Stamping and Plastic Molding industries, therefore Tip sis the most common and widely used type of milling cutters where the demand is very huge. There are many different brands and types of Tips cutters available in the market, which manufacture from Japan, America, Europe, Korea, India, Taiwan and China, etc.

The increasing competition in the market region spurs the various manufacturers to constantly develop many different kinds of high performances Tips cutters to cater the huge demand in the various aspect of engineering industries which can speed up the production time, processes and also reduce the production and lab our cost.

A DC'“DC Converter with High Voltage Gain and Two Input Boost Stages for Solar Applications

An efficient dc boost converter with two input boost stages and high voltage gain is proposed for solar applications. The suggested topologies can be used as multiport converters and draw continuous current from two input sources. Continuous current can also be drawn from a single source in an interleaved manner. This can be used in solar farms. The proposed converters can easily achieve a gain of 20 while benefiting from a continuous input current. Such a converter can individually link a PV panel to a 400-V dc bus. This proposed work is carried out using MATLAB/Simulink platform

Smart Grid Infrastructure for Efficient Power Consumption Using Real Time Pricing Algorithm

Electricity supply do not always satisfy customers' demand, which results in peak demand periods. When demand is at its peak, electricity providers have to react to meet the demand and avoid interruptions by boosting the capacity which is costly and not always possible. In addition to fluctuation in demand, price of electricity production changes continuously due to the variation in resources used for production over periods. Yet, the consumers pay the same price for the electricity unit both in on-peak and off-peak periods. A proposed solution would be the use of real time pricing (RTP) of electricity.

The end-users will be involved in the electric grid and will have control on the consumption over different periods either by reducing or by shifting it to off-peak periods as a reaction to RTP. The results obtained prove that not only the electric utility, but also, the subscribers will benefit. Comparing the results of RTP algorithm to a scenario where price is fixed, we notice that the aggregate utility of every user is higher using RTP algorithm.

Along with RTP algorithm we would like to suggest Distributed algorithm that automatically manages the smart meter and the electricity provider interactions. The results from the simulation shows that the proposed RTP algorithm and distributed algorithm can potentially benefit both customer and the electricity providers.

Review on FPGA Implementation of 16*16 Vedic Multiplier in VHDL Environment

Multipliers are the main key components of many high performance systems such as FIR filters, Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processors, ALU and etc.It improves the speed of the many processors. Vedic mathematics is mainly based on sixteen principles or word-formulae which are termed as Sutras .A high speed complex 16 *16 multiplier design by using urdhvatiryakbhyam sutra is used here, By using this sutra the partial products and sums are generated in one step which there by reduces the design of architecture in processors.

It can be used in the applications such as convolution, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and in microprocessors. The propagation delay of the processors can be reduced by using this technology.

Smart Bag with Theft Prevention and Real Time Tracking

In our day to day life travelling has become one of the important aspects for human being. Generally for travelling purpose people uses normal luggage bags or suitcase but in today's world such types of bags are not safe from the security point of view and less hard work and comfort of having better journey. Nowadays field of electronic has designed with advanced electronic technology that can provide facilities like surveillance. All the electronic inventions are to reduce manual effort upon mechanical work and to create an interaction between human and machine.

Human following bags are one of the finest technologies in electronics and by utilizing its advantages and applications in day to day life in this paper we have tried to mention all the study related to smart bag. Several techniques are introduced to follow bag behind the owner for the following features human detection done by ultrasonic sensors.

In terms of privacy the bag can be activated by owner's identity and also location can be tracked using GPS and GSM. In this bag within a small platform all the facilities are implemented together efficiently.

A New breed NN Based UHVDC for Offshore Wind Power Plant to Enhance the Transient Response

In proposed system transient management of offshore wind power plant can be achieved by unified high voltage direct current transmission (HVDC) system. This advance HVDC transmission system rectifies the defect of recent AC transmission network. The design of HVDC system made up of both series and shunt compensator call by unified HVDC (UHVDC). It assures the smooth power transfer, Direct current link voltage regulation and fast fault clearance during transient conditions.

The former control of Unified HVDC is designed by synchronous reference frame technique (SRF) which leads poor performance in frequency variation. The mentioned problems are overcome by advance technique of proportional integral (PI) controller and neural network controller. These proposed systems are designed and transient responses are evaluated by Matlab/Simulink software.
