Review on Numerical Analysis of EGR Cooler

With increasing pollution worldwide, the emission standards for diesel engines has become more stringent. The Euro 6 limits the NOxemission from diesel engine to 0.08 g Km. The current paper presents the various analysis method of EGR cooler operating under different conditions. The primary causes of EGR failures i.e. fouling is also studied by various scholars. The numerical method CFD encompassing 1D geometry and experimental techniques of evaluating EGR cooler is also studied. The effect of geometry, material and operating conditions on performance of EGR cooler are investigated by various scholars and the results obtained by such tests are also presented.

Implementation of Poka Yoke and Safety Push Button in Rubber Grommet and Sleeve Assembly Bracket Machine

Poka yoke is a technique that is used for avoiding human error in the workplace. It is also known mistake proof method and fails safety working methods poka yoke is a system it is designed to prevent errors or mistakes made by the operator performing work or process. Today, this concept is used in current industries production system helped design, averages poka yoke devices per machine in their manufacturing plants, thus validating the concept as beneficial to the industry in this article is used to reducing rejection and customer complaints, detect wrong punching bracket holes and only finish good material is supplied customer reduced wrong assembly bracket. An examination in Precision list the potential benefits as

Effect of MWCNT Water Nanofluid on Heat Transfer Enhancement in a Shell and coiled Tube Exchanger using CFD

The nanoparticles have stronger characteristic of heat transfer such as high thermal conductivity, increased stability and homogeneity, along with negligible blockage in flow paths due to its limited scale and wide area. These advantages inspired the researchers to conduct heat transfer experiments. In this investigation, the heat transfer and pressure drop of the shell and coiled tube heat exchanger handling MWCNT water nanofluids have been analyzed by the computational software ANSYS 17.0 version. The MWCNT water nanofluids at 0.05 , 0.1 , 0.3 and 0.5 volume concentrations have been taken for this investigation. The major factors like volume concentrations of nanofluids and flow rate are considered for predicting the heat transfer rate and pressure drop. The simulation data was compared with the experimental data. It is studied that the heat transfer rate and pressure drop increase with increasing volume concentrations of MWCNT water nanofluids. It is found that the overall heat transfer coefficient of MWCNT water nanofluids is found to be 18 , 22 , 27 and 32 at 0.05 , 0.1 , 0.3 and 0.5 volume concentrations respectively higher than that of water at the volume flow rate range of 1–3.LPM, while the pressure drop due to MWCNT water nanofluids may be expected more than 5 , 7 , 10 and 13 for 0.05 , 0.1 , 0.3 and 0.5 volume concentrations respectively higher than that of water.

Study of Noise Mapping at Moolchand Road Phargang New Delhi

India’s cities are growing rapidly, resulting in wide variety of environmental stresses. Delhi’s current population is 18 million is growing rapidly. The results show that Delhi is developing very rapidly. The study shows that a 122 increase in highly dense area was recorded during last decade in Delhi. The pollution load has increased in terms of air, water, noise, and solid waste generation and disposal, etc. One of the many environmental problems faced is related to noise pollution. Many important places like Hospitals and Residential areas have been to be made Noise free. In most of the surveys conducted by relative Departments and Organizations, Noise levels vary in all three axis and are being represented graphically by Noise Map. In order to assess not only the noise levels, to which the population is exposed, but also to quantify the influence of architectonical aspects, the report presents the steps taken towards a simulation of the noise emissions and propagation in this area. The results of the simulation are compared to measurements in different locations and daily hours. The discrepancies are analyzed and the methodology is discussed. Efforts were made to implement Guide Lines Prescribed by Indian Standards. Design of noise barriers is also briefly discussed.

Experimental Investigation on Impact of Jet on Vanes Pipe System to Determine the Minor Losses

The water coming out from the nozzle is called as a jet and when the impacted on the different surfaces and the change in momentum can be determined and the experiment is performed with the nozzle, different type of plates such as flat, Circular and semi circular and a spring scale connected to the balanced beam and different weights are used as counter weights, flow meter and pipes. In this paper during the experimentation of determining the coefficient of impact on the vanes plates some of the minor Losses occurred due to the presence of bend in the suction pipe and nozzle pipe line connectivity and the extra fitting such as valve to control the flow on the pipe are present, due to this the flow of water, velocity in the pipe are varied, an attempt is done with this experiment to determine some important minor losses ,major losses are neglected as length of pipe is short. The readings from the experiment on three different plates are conducted and readings are tabulated and compared.

Design of Tall Structures under Low SBC

The present situation of the country aims to construction tall building in a pollution free areas and also sociable environment, people focusing on a rural areas to be urbanized as all the offices and business places are developed nearby so, with this concern the rural areas observed to be having Low SBC and it’s a challenge for the structural engineers who aim to have pile foundation and other suitable foundations to make the structures stable. This terminology shows that the tall buildings using these methods are structurally well built and durable to resist the lateral loads such as seismic, wind, etc. Indian cities are observing enormous development due to construction of multinational companies in rural areas aiming for pollution and environmental free campuses leading urban trend and housing demand etc. considering economy of a project, I have been focused on a 10 floors commercial project on a low SBC and carried out with Etabs software on Pile, raft foundation and different environment conditions on earthquake parameters. The title named “Design of Tall Structures under Low SBC”.

Comparative Study of Different Lateral Load Resisting System on Different Shapes of Building

For quake safe plan the ordinary structure ought to have the option to oppose minor, moderate, cut off shaking. In the conditions of the structure, basic shape arrangement building move the seismic tremor power in the immediate way to the base while fit as a fiddle constructing, the heap moving way is roundabout which prompts age of worries at the corners Structure architects need to plan and assemble a structure wherein the harm to the structure and its structure part by quake is limited. From the past investigations and structure originators explores, they discovered different parallel burden opposing frameworks like Shear wall systems, Bracing systems, Flat slab systems, etc. lateral load has great significance in design as the height of building increases parallel burden turns out to be more prevailing than gravity burden or vertical heap of building. Horizontal burden, for example, Wind load and Seismic Load are follow up on the tall structure. These loads are resisted by various lateral load resisting systems. The primary boundaries considered in this report is to contrasting the seismic presentation of various models for direct static investigation are Top storey displacements, Storey drift ratios, Storey shears and for dynamic analysis are Torsion moments, Time Period and Response Spectrum.
