Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis of Exhaust Heat Exchanger for Ted A Review

In recent years with the advancement of thermo electric materials, direct conversion of heat energy into electrical energy becomes possible. Thermoelectric technology is used for recovering heat energy loses from engine exhaust gases. The power generated by thermoelectric technology is called as thermoelectric power. In thermo electric power generation an exhaust heat exchanger is used for recovering exhaust heat and a thermo electric module is used for converting heat into electricity. The present research work is on to optimization of the design of exhaust heat exchanger by removing the internal fins and changing the cross sectional area of heat exchanger to overcome the problem of pressure drop. The designs of exhaust heat exchangers used in the previous research works recovers maximum heat from an engine exhaust but they have main problem of pressure drop or back pressure which can stops engine functioning. Computational fluid dynamics CFD is used in the simulation of the exhaust gases flowing inside the heat exchanger. The isothermal modelling technique is used in simulation process of the heat exchanger. The thermal simulation is done on heat exchanger to check the surface temperature, heat transfer rate, and pressure drop in three different driving cycles urban driving, suburban driving and max. power driving for a vehicle with 1.2 L petrol engine. The Rectangular shaped heat exchanger is used in exhaust manifold of internal combustion engine ICE is modelled numerically to recover the lost heat from engine exhaust. The result shows that Rectangular shaped heat exchanger with gradually increasing cross sectional area minimizes pressure drop and gives better temperature at the surface and heat transfer rate.

A Review on Sweat as a Source of Future Digital Biomarkers

Sweat has been related to health and malady ever since it had been joined to high body temperature and exercise. It contains a broad vary of electrolytes, proteins, and lipids, and thus hosts a broad panel of potential non invasive biomarkers. The event of novel smart phone based biosensors can modify a lot of subtle, patient driven sweat analysis. This can offer a broad vary of novel digital biomarkers. Digital biomarkers are of skyrocketing interest as a result of they deliver numerous relevant longitudinal health information. To date, investigations on digital biomarkers have targeted on making objective measurements of function. Sweat analysis victimisation smart phone based biosensors has the potential to produce initial non invasive metabolic feedback and so represents a promising complement and a supply for next generation digital biomarkers. From this viewpoint, we have a tendency to discuss state of the art sweat analysis, that specialize in the clinical implementation of sweat in medication. Sweat provides biomarkers that represent direct metabolic feedback and is thus expected to be future generation of digital biomarkers.

Project Planning and Scheduling

Large Planning is a general term that sets a clear road map that should be followed to reach a destination. The term, therefore, has been used at different levels to mean different things. Planning involves the breakdown of the project into definable, measurable, and identifiable tasks activities, and then establishes the logical interdependences among them. These plans involve four main steps Performing breakdown of work items involved in the project into activities. Identifying the proper sequence by which the activities should be executed. Activities representation. Estimating the resources, time, and cost of individual activities. Planning requires a rigorous effort by the planning team. A planner should know the different categories of work and be familiar with the terminology and knowledge used in general practice. Also, the planning tem should seek the opinion of experts including actual construction experience. This helps produce a realistic plan and avoids problems later on site.

Qualitative Effect of Solar Eclipse on Non Conventional Sources of Power Generation

Human beings have advanced in all aspects of life and have designed equipment that bear the potential to reduce manual work by using mechanisms wherein energy can be converted to work. However, these equipment largely depend on electrical energy for their operation. With technological advancement, numerous methods of generation of electrical energy have been in practice of which, extensive contemporary research is been conducted in the field of non conventional energy sources. These energy sources are generally renewable and can be considered perennial depending on the method of harnessing the energy. However, the key source of life on earth is the solar radiation. It is solar radiation that facilitates various forms of life on earth and ensures meeting of the energy demand. Various other conventional and non conventional energy sources depend directly or indirectly on solar radiation for their existence. Thus we can say that solar energy is the driving force of life on earth without which, everything will come to a standstill. However, there are rare events like eclipses that hinder the intensity of incoming solar radiation thereby disturbing the stability of the energy received by the earth. This paper shall consider six power generation methods using non conventional energy sources and the qualitative effect of a solar eclipse on the output of the same. For each case the basic working shall be explained after which, key factors affecting the working shall be put forward. Thereafter the qualitative effect of solar eclipse on the factors shall be discussed to draw a conclusion regarding the most affected and the least affected methods of power generation from non conventional energy sources in event of a solar eclipse.

Study and Development of PIC Microcontroller to PC Communication via USB

In this article, authors attempt to describe a study and development of PIC Microcontroller to PC communication via USB. The Microchip FSUSB Framework utilized the PIC18F4553 with 20MHz crystal. PortB pin RB4 has been used as Bootloader and RD0 and RD1 as the status indicator. Moreover, RC5 and RC4 of PortC have been used as USB D and D . Firmware tools consist of Mplab IDE, Mplab C18 Compiler, Driver, FSUSB Framework v2.6 and Microsoft Visual Stadio Visual C C Sharp . Demonstration and Development of a complete USB2.0 communication solution has been verified by using USBDevice – CDC – BASICDEMO software on Proteus 7.7 simulation platform.

Generation of Electric Power through Gas Turbine

The major components of a gas turbine are compressor, combustors, turbine and generator. It operates by continuous drawing in fresh air into the compressor. The Air is then compressed to a high pressure in the compressor and discharge into the combustion. Here the air is missed with gas and burns continuous once ignited to increase its energy level at constant pressure. The high pressure and temperature combustion product enter an expansion turbine that converts the gas thermal energy into mechanical energy of a rotating shaft, which in turn drives the generator rotor. The resulting low pressure and low temperature gases are discharged to atmosphere at constant pressure after expanding through the turbine.
