Solar Powered Water Pump with Improved Efficiency

In this paper it deals with speed sensor less induction motor drive with improved efficiency. A solar PV array is used for water pumping using IMD. In order to increase the efficiency and reduce the cost many sensors are eliminated. Also an additional boost converter that is used to increase the voltage from PV. Rotor flux oriented control is used for speed estimation in stationary reference frame. The proposed system is simulated in MATLAB Simulink environment.

Overview of Data Mining

Data mining is the process of discovering patterns in large data sets involving methods at the intersection of machine learning, statistics, and database systems. 1 Data mining is an interdisciplinary sub field of computer science and statistics with an overall goal to extract from a data set and transform the information into a comprehensible structure for further use. 1 2 3 4 The process of digging through data to discover hidden connections and predict future trends has a long history. Sometimes referred to as 'knowledge discovery' in databases, the term data mining wasn't coined until the 1990s. What was old is new again, as data mining technology keeps evolving to keep pace with the limitless potential of big data and affordable computing power. Over the last decade, advances in processing power and speed have enabled us to move beyond manual, tedious and time consuming practices to quick, easy and automated data analysis. The more complex the data sets collected, the more potential there is to uncover relevant insights.

Managing Cloud Data Integrity and Access Control Mechanism through Blockchain

Ever since the introduction of the internet platform there has been a significant increase in the number of services that utilize the internet paradigm. one such service is the cloud storage platform. The cloud is a collection of a large number of services that leverage the internet platform to provide users with increased convenience for performing day to day activities. The cloud storage platform is an innovative concept that allows the user to store their data on the cloud platform to enable increased convenience for the users as the data can be accessed on any device with just an internet connection. But the problem arises when the data is supposed to be accessed by several entities such as the cloud admin along with the auditors and other users while maintaining the security of the data stored. Therefore, there is a need for an efficient and secure access control mechanism that needs to be implemented on the cloud storage platform. The proposed methodology in this publication implements Reverse Circle Cipher along with the introduction of the Blockchain Distributed platform for the creation of an effective access control and integrity management technique on the cloud storage platform.

Design and Fabrication of Ground Station Antenna

As the communication technology is thriving day by day, the number of satellites are shooting up in a faster rate. The use of smaller satellites for Education, Scientific and Commercial purposes are usually positioned in LEO Low Earth Orbit flights and typically their short periods of crossing across the Line Of Sight of an Earth Station brings the need of finding ways of expanding the communication between ground and space segments. This paper elucidates the aspects related to the design and implementation of a Ground station using a directional antenna for tracking satellites which utilizes UHF band for payload transmission. First the design parameters are enumerated using Yagi Calculator Software. For verification feasibility an Electro magnetic model of an antenna is developed using ANSYS HFSS software. The procured results demonstrate some important paramount aspects of the antenna model. Finally, the “Off Shelf” components are integrated and after successful testing of hardware and software is done, it can be further extended for commercial tracking.

Selenium - A Trending Automation Testing Tool

Selenium is an important testing tool for software quality assurance. In recent days number of websites are increasing rapidly and it becomes essential to test the websites against various quality factors to make sure it meets the expected quality goals. Several companies are spending a lot of bucks for the testing tool while Selenium is available completely free for the performance test. The open source tool is well known for its unlimited capabilities and unlimited reach. Selenium stands out from the crowd in this aspect. Anyone could visit the Selenium website and download the latest version and use it. It is not only an open source but also highly modifiable. Testers could make changes based upon their needs and requirements.

EEG Based Classification of Emotions with CNN and RNN

Emotions are biological states associated with the nervous system, especially the brain brought on by neurophysiological changes. They variously cognate with thoughts, feelings, behavioural responses, and a degree of pleasure or displeasure and it exists everywhere in daily life. It is a significant research topic in the development of artificial intelligence to evaluate human behaviour that are primarily based on motions. In this paper, Deep Learning Classifiers will be applied to SJTU Emotion EEG Dataset SEED to classify human emotions from EEG using Python. Then the accuracy of respective classifiers that is, the performance of emotion classification using Convolutional Neural Network CNN and Recurrent Neural Networks are compared. The experimental results show that RNN is better than CNN in solving sequence prediction problems.

Numerical Investigation of Heat Transfer and Friction Characteristics of solar Air Heater Duct using Broken 'S' Shaped Ribs Roughness

The solar air heater has an important place among solar heat collectors. It can be used as sub systems in many systems meant for the utilization of solar energy. Possible applications of solar air heaters are drying or curing of agricultural products, space heating for comfort regeneration of dehumidifying agents, seasoning of timber, curing of industrial products such as plastics. When air at high temperature is required the design of a heater becomes complicated and very costly. As far as the ultimate application for heating air to maintain a comfortable environment is concerned, the solar air heater is the most logical choice. In general solar heaters are quite suitable for low and moderate temperatures application as their design is simple. These solar air heaters have low heat transfer efficiency which can be improved using geometrical modifications like optimizing duct geometry or adding artificial roughness. The use of artificial roughness on the underside of the absorber plate is an effective and economic way to improve the thermal performance of a solar air heater. Several experimental investigations, involving different types of roughness elements, have been carried out to improve the heat transfer from the absorber plate to air flowing in solar air heaters. In this paper the CFD analysis on heat transfer and friction in rectangular ducts roughened with broken 'S' shaped ribs has been presented. The relative gap width g e is varied from 0.5 to 2.5 and other parameter are constant. The effects of gap width g e on Nusselt number, friction factor and thermo hydraulic performance parameter have been discussed and results compared with smooth duct under similar conditions. It is found that the maximum heat transfer and friction characteristic at a relative gap width of 1.
