Green Building Cognitions and Perceptions for Better Environment

Green buildings are marked as economical, resource efficient and environmentally friendly compared to the conventional building. A green building depletes the natural resources to the minimum during its construction and operation. A construction activity generally confers to deterioration of the environment this is due to the solid waste generated during construction. Production of carbon dioxide by occupants is also considered as a key factor. Due to this problem there is a considerable downturn in adoption of green building technology in construction industry. The main aim of this study is to set forth the factors influencing the adoption of green building. This study investigates the extent of adoption of green building concepts in commercial buildings and the key challenges arising from their adoption with the aim of determining appropriate strategies for implementing them. The study was conducted through survey method and used questionnaires, interviews, observations for data collection. In this paper a study is conducted which determines the concepts and strategies which can help to create awareness among people regarding the worth of green building and to promote green building practice for better environment.

Automation of Waste Paper Reject Handling System using DCS

process is the one in which the ink from the office waste and newspaper and removed in order to prevent it from dispersion into the pulp sodium soap is used for removing the ink. The sodium soap produced in conveyer. The existing method have only one conveyer. It carries the reject material and it create the environmental hazards. But our proposed method has two conveyers. These conveyers are worked with the help of DCS. It reduces the environmental pollution and reduce the need for more manual labor. The conveyer 1 has a magnetic separator which separate the metal, iron and its components. The conveyer 2 has a reject material like polythene and reject material. Those materials are conveyed Baling machine by using the conveyer 2. Finally, all the reject materials are bundled by using the baling machine.

Effects of Al2O3 Cu Water Hybrid Nanofluid on Heat Transfer of Double Pipe Heat Exchanger using CFD

nickel, Nano diamond, TiO2, and SiO2 flow in a tube under laminar or turbulent flow conditions. The heat transfer enhancement of nanofluids depends on particle concentrations, thermal conductivity of nanoparticles and mass flow rates. The thermal conductivity of nanoparticles may be altered or changed by synthesizing the hybrid nanocomposite nanoparticles and it is expected that fluids prepared with hybrid nanoparticles may cause further heat transfer enhancements. The hybrid nanoparticles may be defined as two or more different materials in the nanometer size hybrid nanoparticles represent an area of nanotechnology, which is experiencing a marked growth due to its potential impact in material science and engineering. In this Present work, a solid model of a double pipe heat exchanger is built. The main objectives of this research are to analyze the thermal efficiency of hybrid nano fluid Cu Al2O3 Water relative to single nano fluid Al2O3 and pure water. For which nanofluid and hybrid nanofluid passes through the tube side with 6mm diameter, while the hot fluid flows through the annulus side with a 16mm inside diameter and length 1000mm. For this we considered hot water is supplied to the outer tube at a volume flow rate of 3.5 litre min at a temperature of 353 K, while Cu Al2O3 Water based hybrid nanofluid of 0.3 volume concentration are supplied to the inner tube at different volume flow rate of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1 litre min at temperature of 301K. From the present study, it has been found that at 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8.and 1 liter per minute cold fluid flow rate and 3.5 liters per minute hot fluid flow rate the overall heat transfer coefficient is improved by 12 percent by the use of hybrid nano fluid Cu Al2O3 Water compared to single nano fluid Al2O3 .

Influence of Urea on Concrete

modulus, slump test, carbonation test, pH test, urea ingression test and increase in strength with urea percentage .This study deals to overcome three major problems in the concrete namely heat of hydration, permeability, and corrosion of steel bar embedded in concrete. Urea can generally reduce the temperature of concrete both at casting phase and during the procedure of hydration. Urea does not opposite effect the durability of reinforced concrete, except where there is an accumulation of urea crystal growth.

Load Balancing and Data Management in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is an online storage media where we access, store and manage the data. It stores the data on remote servers rather than a local server and that data can be accessed through the internet. For example Google Drive is personal cloud storage from Google. When there are number of request in cloud computing, then load balancer is used to distribute request between the remote servers and efficiently handle those request. Load balancer distributes client request or network load efficiently across multiple servers. By using cloud infrastructure, we don't have to spend huge amount of money on purchasing and maintaining equipment. Cloud data management is a way to manage data across cloud platforms, either with or instead of on premises storage.

An Experimental Study on Stabilization of Expansive Soil using Admixture

The recent developments and application in the use of advanced composites in the improvement of soil are increasing on the basis of specific requirements and national needs. The need of efficient stabilization and strengthening techniques of existing soil has resulted in research and development of newer materials for improvement. Particularly for the black cotton soils which have high swelling and shrinkage tendencies, demands great deal of attention for stabilization. Modification of black cotton soils by admixtures is a common method for stabilizing the swell shrink tendency of expansive soils. Advantages of chemical stabilization are that they reduce the swell shrink tendency of the expansive soils and render the soils less plastic. As a further step towards the innovative materials to be used for the stabilization, this study endeavor to use waste material copper slag for the soil improvement. Copper slag, which is produced during production of copper from copper ore, contains minerals like iron, alumina, calcium oxide, silica, etc. For every tonne of metal production about 2.2 tonne of slag is generated. By using the admixture described above, Copper slag the index properties of soil has been improved. The various tests like Plasticity index, Standard Proctor and Swell index were performed and the result we got show much improvement. Soil has been collected from Umrakh region near SNPIT and RC College and the Admixture from SWIL JhagadiaCopper Limited , Gujarat.

The Comparison of Statistical Quality Control Results on Reinforced Concrete Buildings in Myanmar

Yangon, the former capital city of Myanmar, gradually increases high rise buildings. But, Myanmar, our country, is one of the countries which still weakened at the quality management system of construction projects. Few construction companies in Myanmar hold the certificates of ISO standards and also there are few people who understand that how much quality is very important for the construction industry. Actually, quality is very important for all stages of construction projects to save time and money of the whole projects. In this situation, two construction projects in Myanmar which are constructed under different construction companies have been chosen to apply the statistical quality control methods to know which areas are needed to emphasis to get the better quality performances of construction projects in Myanmar. This finding can be useful to solve some quality problems of construction projects and by using these statistical quality control methods, quality weak points can be analyzed and reduced to get the

better quality performances of the construction project.
