LoRa Technology - DNA of IoT

Although many techniques exist to transfer data from the widely distributed sensors that make up the Internet of Things IoT e.g., using 3G 4G networks or cables , these methods are associated with prohibitively high costs, making them impractical for real life applications. LoRa Long Range modulation together with LoRaWAN LoRa Wide Area Networks communication protocol can represent a suitable candidate ensuring a high level of performance in wireless technologies. The objective is to contribute toward the realization of LoRa as a viable communication technology for applications that needs long range links and deployed in a distributed manner. The LoRaWAN networks are the evolution of wireless sensor networks directed to the IoT concept, which entails sensor connectivity to the Internet. LoRa technology is s
ummarized by reviewing some aspects regarding the architecture, security and application of the technology.

Microhardness of Silicon Nitride Ceramic and Its Composites

Micro hardness research studies on various non oxide ceramics will be carried out. These ceramics include silicon nitride and the composites of silicon nitride. Micro hardness measurement of these ceramics i.e. vicker will be carried out using diamond indenters. Various influences of load and time of indentation on hardness values of these ceramics will be carried out in detail. Fracture toughness of these ceramics was also studied using vicker indentation. The vicker ha

rdness of these ceramics decreases with increasing load, similar influence was observed by increasing time of indentation.

Motion Control of Mobile Robots using Fuzzy Controller

In this study, a motion control based on fuzzy logic is designed so that mobile robots can make the turns they make when moving in an unknown environment more flexibly and smoothly. Fuzzy logic control is suitable for controlling mobile robots because the results can be obtained under uncertainty. Fuzzy logic control is implemented through a set of rules created using expert knowledge. The fuzzy rules created in this paper are designed
to allow mobile robots to escape from obstacles, to avoid contact with walls, and to make soft turns without harming their structure. According to the obtained simulation results, the mobile robot has been shown to have successful results in fuzzy logic based motion control.

Q-Learnıng Based Real Tıme Path Plannıng for Mobıle Robots

Decision making and movement control are used for mobile robots to perform the given tasks. This study presents a real time application in which the robotic system estimates the shortest way from robot's current location to target point via Q learning algorithm and makes decision to go the target point on the estimated path by using movement control. Q Learning algorithm is known as a Reinforcement Learning RL algorithm. In this study, it is used as a core algorithm for estimation of the path that is optimum way for mobile robot in an environment. The environment is viewed by a camera. This study includes three phases. Firstly, the map and the locations of all objects including a mobile robot, obstacles and target point in the environment are determined by using image processing. Secondly, Q Learning algorithm is applied for the problem of the estimation of the shortest way from the current location of the robot to target

point. Finally, a mobile robot with three omni wheels was developed. Experiments were carried out using this robot. Two different experiments are performed in experimental environment. The results obtained are shared at the end of the paper.

Matlab Implementation of Power Quality Improvement Based on Fast Dynamic Control

The paper is based on power quality with fast dynamic control having no isolation transformer. The concept is simulated using famous MATLAB tool and the proposed architecture is based on four switching devices only, forming two half bridge voltage source inverters one connected in parallel with the load and another one connected in series with the AC mains and both having the same DC link.

Design of Modern Grid Fed from Hybrid (Solar and Wind) Energy Source

This paper presents a control of a micro grid at an isolated location fed from wind and solar based hybrid energy sources. The machine used for wind energy conversion is doubly fed induction generator DFIG and a battery bank is connected to a common DC bus of them. A solar photovoltaic PV array is used to convert solar power, which is evacuated at the common DC bus of DFIG using a DC DC boost converter in a cost effective way.

A Novel Approach for Programmable Interface Based Load Shedding for Voltage Stability Improvement

This Load Shedding is a technique by which the authority of electricity manages and handles the inconveniences of the electrical power consumed by the consumers. Blackouts of electricity are the basic problem which needs to be resolved in power systems. It is impossible to thoroughly prohibit blackouts. Unexpected and large changes in formation volume such as Interruption of a generator can cause a huge variance between formation and load pressure. If voltage and frequency are beyond the acceptable range the system turns in ambiguous position and in this position the system regulator is attempt and operated to retrieve the voltage and frequency in the a

cceptable range. In case the interpretation is huge the regulator can't retrieve the voltage and prevalence in the acceptable range. In this condition the solution to bypass the electricity breakdown is only load shedding strategy.
