Performance Evaluation of Routing Protocols in University Network

In an enterprise network, multiple dynamic routing protocols are used for forwarding packets with the best routes. Therefore, performance of the network is based on routing protocols and the route redistribution is an important issue in an enterprise network that has been configured by multiple different routing protocols in its routers. So, aim of the system is to analyze the performance and comparison of different Interior Gateway routing protocols. Routing is depended on many parameters critical such as network convergence time, Ethernet delay, throughput, end to end delay, jitter, packet delivery, security and bandwidth, etc. In this paper, the analysis of characteristics and the performance of the different routing protocols as Routing Information Protocol RIP, Open Shortest Path First OSPF and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol EIGRP are evaluated in a university network. The performance evaluation are based on end to end packet delay, network convergence time, packet delay variation and administrative distance, etc. The analysis focuses on the performance of the routing protocols with its routing table in a simulator. The Simulation software can be used to evaluate and compare the performance of the routing protocols. The simulator return the routing table for each node or router in the university network which would contain the best path to reach the remote destination on the metric chosen based on the routing protocol implemented. The simulation software give results used to evaluate the performance of routing protocols, the performance of different routing protocols will be compared, and to analyze the convergence time and administrative distance of routing protocols.

Artificial Neural Network for Solar Photovoltaic System Modeling and Simulation

This paper presented neural network based maximum power point tracking on the design of photovoltaic power input to a DC DC boot converter to the load. Simulink model of photovoltaic array tested the neural network with different temperature and irradiance for maximum power point of a photovoltaic system. DC DC boot converter is used in load when an average output voltage is stable required which can be lower than the input voltage. At the end, the different temperature and irradiance of the data collected from the photovoltaic array system is used to train the neutral network and output efficiency of the designed DC DC boot converter with MPPT control strategy is accepted the maximum power amount to show the result voltage, current and power output for each different have been presented. And also demonstrated that the neural network based MPPT tracking require less time and more accurate results than the other algorithm based MPPT.

Fire Fighting Robot System

Increasing human population and technological development has led to increase in fire accidents and hazards. Adverse conditions and physical limitations of human being make fire extinguishing challenging and demanding task. Fire extinguishing is very risky task and it involves loss of life. Robotics is the emerging solution to protect the surrounding and human lives. Fire extinguishing robot is a hardware model which is used for extinguishing the fire during fire accidents. It reduces the errors and limitations faced by the humans during fire extinguishing task. In this paper includes Arduino UNO, fire sensor, servo motor, motor driver, water level sensor and water pump. The vehicle consists of a water tank along with a pump which throws water when needed. The system uses an Arduino UNO microcontroller board for this purpose. The fire sensor on the vehicle is used to receive the amount of fire. These values are used to find the location of the fire. These are then fed to the motors responsible for controlling the vehicle movements in front, back, left and right directions. The fire sensor is interfaced with an Arduino UNO microcontroller for this purpose. The microcontroller after receiving input commands operates the motors through a motor driver for vehicle movements. It also uses a water pump which is used to spray water with a desired pressure.

Effect of Rhizobium Innoculation on Growth, Nodulation Count and Yield of Soybeans Glycine Max Grown in Biochar Amended Soil of Sounthern Guinea Savana of Nigeria

Replenishment of depleted soil nitrogen depends largely on addition of inorganic fertilizers but due to problems of scarcity and high the cost of these fertilizer. Rhizobia inoculation is a cheaper, easier and safer option to improve soilnitrogen fixation and increase productivity of grain legumes. The experiments were conducted during 2016 and2017 rainy season with the aimed of evaluating the potentials of rhizobium inoculation on growth, nodulation count and yield of soybean planted in biochar amended soil. The results showed that Rhizobium inoculation of soybeans and biochar soil amendment did not showed any significant increase on all growth parameter at 8 weeks after planting in 2016 and 2017 cropping seasons. However, inoculated soybeans produced significantly higher number of 25.35 and 23.42 roots nodules per plant compare to the control. Rhizobium inoculation and biochar soil amendment had a significant increase on all the yield parameter assessed in both years of cropping. All the soybeans that were inoculated with rhizobium produced the highest number of flowers 58.45 and 56.84 highest number of pods per plant 48.15 and 35.34 and highest seed weight of 2.67 and 2.85 t ha .1 Application of 10 t ha 1 of biochar produced the highest number of flowers 63.26 and 68.21 highest number of pods per plant 53.45 and 54.25 and highest seed weight of 2.53 and 2.69 t ha 1 in 2016 and 2017 cropping seasons respectively.

Study and Analysis of Insulator used in Substation

The main purpose of this paper was that to compare design of post insulators and their performance of different post insulator the relative performance of different insulator materials used in substation as lightning arrester, current transformer and potential transformer. Insulators are used to protect from the dangerous effects of electricity flowing through conductors. This paper presents the role of post insulators are key components of most electrical substation equipment and their features and ability are changing due to the difference type of electrical power incoming line and pollution level of their rating. The peak voltage rating of each arrester at 132 kV is 118.6 kV, creepage distance is 2904 mm and maximum continuous operating voltage is 94.88 kV. The creepage distance of current transformer and potential transformer at 132 kV are 4065 mm. Therefore, in this paper, the effects of material changes, rating changes, pollution level changes of lightning arrester, current transformer and potential transformer in substation are described. Then, analysis and discussion of lightning arrester and instrument transformer are described in this paper.

Smart Blind Walking Stick Using Arduino

This system is based on sensors and microcontroller. The features are to detect the obstacle for collision avoidance and it detects the object in directions left, right, down and front. The system is composed of the ultrasonic sensor, IR sensor and Arduino Mega 2560. It has a low cost and lightweight system design. By using these three items, it senses the distance with sensors and the blind stick frame is designed. And then send distance data to Arduino mega2560 controller. In emergency situations, the blind walker knows the distance or safe area for themselves.

RFID Based Rotary Car Parking System

This paper deals with the manufacturing of a Prototype of Rotary Car Parking System using Sensors. Lack of space availability has always been a problem in urban areas and major cities and to add to it there are cars parked callously on the streets that further limit the space. In order to handle the issue of parking in busy places various types of vehicle parking systems are used worldwide Rotary Automated Car Parking System and many more. This thesis work is aimed to develop a scale down working model of a car parking system which will reduce the excess use of land space. This total prototype is powered by unipolar stepper motor. This model also uses a RFID Tag and Reader. When the car comes on the ramp the switch will be activated and the pallet comes to carry the vehicle. When the switch will be operated by the operator, sprockets starts to rotate and the new space will be adjusted for new vehicle. Planners, developers, architects are finding out solutions to tackle this problem of parking, so took this opportunity to bring this technology of an automated parking system which will reduce a lot of land space for parking purpose. By testing and analyzing the working model definitely get the view to develop the parking lots at difficult and busy commercial places.
