An Experimental Study on Properties of Concrete using Waste Plastic Scrap Materials as Partial Replacement of Coarse Aggregate

Investigations were done on M 30grade concrete by replacing coarse aggregate partially by plastic fiber to get maximum strength. This work presents the Strength and workability results of waste plastic fiber reinforced concrete WPFRC . The different percentages of waste plastic fiber reinforced concrete used in the experimentation are 0 , 0.5 , 1 , and 2 by partial replacement of coarse aggregate using plastic fiber This Study presents the satisfactory results on various strength tests of concrete containing plastic fiber as a partial replacement of coarse aggregate and would help to resolve solid waste disposal problem. However, further research work is still necessary in order to have a more in depth understanding.

Study of Silica Fume Blended Concrete using Statistical Mixture Experiment and Optimizing of Compressive Strength of Cement Concrete

The prime objective of this study is to design, analyze and optimize the silica fume blended concrete using Statistical Mixture Experiment and to explore the practicability of Statistical mixture experiment in mix design of concrete containing the several components. The traditional mix design methods have drawbacks. Traditional method of mix design of concrete fails in designing the complex concrete mixture containing the cementitious materials, pozzolanic materials and several admixtures. Traditional methods are based on trial and error method in which effect of only one component can be determined. Trial and error does not provide the whole picture of concrete mixture. In this study, the statistical mixture design method is employed to analyze the effects of silica fume on 28 days compressive strength of concrete and to design and optimize the silica fume blended concrete. The components of concrete mixture are Cement, silica fume, water and aggregate. Total of 15 runs or design points are generated which are combinations of proportions and laboratory experiment is carried out on these design points and 28 days compressive strength is measured. Mathematical relationship is established between 28 days compressive strength and proportions of components using least square technique and then mathematical model is studied to analyze the effects of silica fume in concrete.

Monitoring of Forest Fire Detection System Using ZigBee

A large number of valuable forests are destroyed in every second caused by fire around the world. As a result of insufficient information of firefighting cannot be provided in time to the occurrence of fire places. Therefore, the lives of people, animals and valuable forest have been lost for wild fire. This proposed system is designed by using sensors nodes and empowering them to communicate with each other through wireless technologies. The system mainly consists of three parts detecting part, monitoring part and wireless sensor network part. The detecting part was devised using Simulated Sensor Program. Temperature sensor LM35, humidity sensor DHT 11 and gas sensor MQ2 detect the occurrence of forest fire. The monitoring part is integrated with LCD display. The ZigBee protocol is utilized for the wireless sensor network communication.

Modified Behaviour of Concrete by Replacing Fine Aggregates with Coal Fly Ash

The prime objective of the study was to evaluate the structural properties and potential of concrete containing coal fly ash that of concrete containing no coal fly ash of corresponding mix proportions and strength. The cubes were tested for the compressive strength and beams specimens were tested for flexural strength. Splitting tensile strength tests were conducted on cylinder specimens. The total numbers of 60 cubes, 40 beams specimens and 40 numbers of cylinders were tested for compressive strength, flexural strength and splitting tensile strength respectively at different ages to study the following aspect. The effect on unit weight of concrete after incorporating varying proportions of bottom ash. The effect of coal fly ash on workability C.F of fresh concrete. The effect on compressive, flexural and splitting tensile strength using bottom ash in varying percentages as a partial replacement of fine aggregates. Mix containing 30 and 40 bottom ash, at 90 days, attains the compressive strength equivalent to 109.13 and 105.17 of compressive strength of normal concrete at 28 days and attains flexural strength in the range of 112 116.3 at 90 days of flexural strength of normal concrete at 28 days.

Traffic Monitoring and Control System Using IoT

This research aims to monitor the traffic condition and to control the traffic light. This system can reduce not only traffic congestion but also waiting time. This system is designed to be implemented in places nearing the junctions. This research is based on the effective use of Internet of Things IoT . This system will display the traffic conditions in the website and the traffic light can be controlled from this website. This system has been implemented by using esp8266, ultrasonic sensor and arduino. Esp8266 nodemcu which is IoT device is used to transmit the traffic information to the website which is connected with this device. Ultrasonic sensors are placed on each road to sense the presence and absence of vehicles. Traffic information is received from these sensors. Traffic light prototype is built by using an arduino UNO. This traffic light can be controlled from the website. The system will display the traffic states in the website that can guide the drivers to select the right way and avoid traffic congestions.

Enhancing Availability of Data in Mixed Homomorphic Encryption in Cloud

In Forthcoming times of information technology companies, cloud computing updated as the structural model. There are so many benefits of cloud computing in technical as well as in organization. But still there are many new objections will carried in cloud computing for example in data security in cloud storage. There are many approaches available for data security in cloud storage like encryption with obfuscation technique, watermark security, data partitioning technique. In above all the approaches, there is no possibility that cloud data centers are operate computation on encrypted data so every time if user wants to modify data, it is necessary to decrypt data. The most used technique for providing security in cloud storage is Homomorphic encryption. In the homomorphic encryption technique, there is no need to decrypt whole data whenever user wants to update data. In the existing system used the mixed homomorphic scheme which reduce noise level in homomorphic encryption technique. The existing system focus on data corruption and data modification but what if system failure and power failure occurs. The user data may be loss in any reasons and user may not have any copy of data. The Existing system not focus on data loss. So in proposed work focus on availability of data by erasure code. By applying the erasure code if in any case user data is loss, will be reconstructed which provide more security than existing system.

LSB Based Stegnography to Enhance the Security of an Image

Steganography is the technique of hiding a secret message or information in a cover message like an image, text or sound in such a way that only the desired or intended recipient knows about the existence of the secret data. It can be defined as the study of invisible communication which usually deals with the technique of hiding the existence of the secret message. The hidden message may be in the form of text, image, audio and video etc. An image after inserting the secret message into it by using a stego key is known as a stego image. Nowadays steganography is important due to an exponential growth in secret communication by potential computer users over the internet. In this paper we have analyzed the various steganography techniques and propose to enhance the security of the secret message by random selection of the keys to extract the secret message and working towards increasing the PSNR Peak Signal to Noise Ratio and decreasing the MSE Mean Square Error .
