Design and Construction of Speed Detection System for Vehicles

The objective of this paper is to detect the over speed for vehicles on the highway road. Although the maximum speed limit on the highway, many accidents keep on because of over speed driving. It is necessary to solve these problems through electronics circuit. This paper describes speed detection system for vehicles. The highway traffic police are easy to check over speed by using this system. This system mainly consists of Arduino UNO, two IR sensors MD 0138 Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor , 1602A LCD display and buzzer. The detected speed is displayed on LCD. Moreover, if the vehicle crosses the limited speed, this system displays the condition of over speed on LCD and the buzzer is alarmed.

Understanding the Need of Implementation of Lean Techniques in Manufacturing Industries A Review

In competitive environment lean manufacturing is necessary in every industry. Lean production is a standard manufacturing mode of the 21st century All the manufacturing industries have put a continuous efforts for its survival in these current world. In order to handle the critical situations manufacturers are trying to implement new and innovative techniques in their manufacturing process. Later on lean was formulated and developed as the solution to the fluctuating and competitive business environment. Due to rapid change in business environment the manufacturing organization are forced to face challenges and complexities in the competition. The concept of lean manufacturing was developed for maximize the resource utilization and minimize the wastes. The main focus of the lean manufacturing is to satisfy customer demands for high quality and low cost. The technique not only identifies the reasons for waste but also helps in its removal through marked principles and guidelines. Lean Manufacturing is an efficient and fast growing approach in the world of competition. Lean manufacturing utilizes a wide range of tools and techniques the choice of tools is based on the requirement. Many parameters contribute success of lean. Organizations which implemented lean manufacturing have higher level of flexibility and competitiveness. However, lean manufacturing provides an environment that is highly conducive to waste minimization. The majority of the study focuses on single aspect of lean element, only very few focuses on more than one aspect of lean elements, but for the successful implementation of lean the organization had to focuses on all the aspects such as Value Stream Mapping VSM , Cellular Manufacturing CM , U line system, Line Balancing, Inventory control, Single Minute Exchange of Dies SMED , Pull System, Kanban, Production Leveling etc.,

Design and Analysis of Connecting Rod of Diesel Engine

The main objective of this study is to review the weight optimization and cost reduction of a connecting rod in a Diesel engine. To get the idea about designing the connecting rod, various stresses to be considered while designing the connecting rod .This has entailed performing a detailed load analysis. The most important factors that are concentrated are stress distribution and deflections. In this project the connecting rod is designed with respect to all the available constraints using advanced cad software CATIA. Later the product file is converted to .stp file format standard exchange of product file and imported to ANSYS workbench to find deformation and analytic valve with respect to the model or product definitions.

Storage of Biometric Data in Database

Storage of multi biometric information is required to encourage quick inquiry in expansive scale biometric frameworks. Past works tending to this issue in multi biometric databases concentrated on multi case ordering, fundamentally iris information. Scarcely any works tended to the ordering in multi modular databases, with fundamental competitor list combination arrangements restricted to joining face and unique mark information. Iris and unique finger impression are generally utilized in vast scale biometric frameworks where quick recovery is a critical issue.

This work proposes joint multi biometric recovery arrangement dependent on unique finger impression and iris information. This arrangement is assessed under eight distinctive hopeful rundown combination approaches with variable multifaceted nature on a database of 10,000 reference and test records of irises and fingerprints. Our proposed multi biometric recovery of unique finger impression and iris information brought about a decrease of the miss rate 1 hit rate at 0.1 entrance rate by 93 contrasted with unique finger impression ordering and 88 contrasted with ordering.

Cloud Computing using Mobile Phone

Mobile Cloud Computing MCC which consolidates versatile processing and distributed computing, has turned out to be one of the business trendy expressions and a noteworthy dialog string in the IT world since 2009. As MCC is still at the beginning period of improvement, it is important to get a handle on an exhaustive comprehension of the innovation so as to call attention to the course of future research. With the last point, this paper introduces a survey on the foundation and standard of MCC, attributes, ongoing examination work, and future research patterns. A concise record on the foundation of MCC from portable processing to distributed computing is given and after that pursued an exchange on attributes and ongoing exploration work. It at that point examinations the highlights and framework of versatile distributed computing. The remainder of the paper investigations the difficulties of versatile distributed computing, rundown of some examination ventures identified with this territory, and calls attention to promising future research bearings.

An Autonomous UAV for Pesticide Spraying

The use of pesticides in agriculture is essential to maintain the quality of large scale production. The spraying of these products by using aircraft speeds up the process and prevents compacting of the soil. However, adverse weather conditions e.g. the speed and direction of the wind can impair the effectiveness of the spraying of pesticides in a target crop field. Thus, there is a risk that the pesticide can drift to neighboring crop fields. It is believed that a large amount of all the pesticide used in the world drifts outside of the target crop field and only a small amount is effective in controlling pests.

However, with increased precision in the spraying, it is possible to reduce the amount of pesticide used and improve the quality of agricultural products as well as mitigate the risk of environmental damage. In the past several years, UAV has been extensively used in agriculture. However, the efficiency is still not as high as desired and the phenomenon of pesticide pollution is still existing. This is mainly because of the following two problems 1 the autonomy of most existing UAV system is still very limited. Actually, most of them are still operated through remote controlling. 2 the UAV's operating precision is not high enough due to the low accuracy flight control near the plants. The paper presents combination of new approaches and technologies in modern day agriculture. Perspectives and benefits of usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in different spheres of agriculture considered on the base of spraying drone project called “AeroDrone”.
