Content Based Image Retrieval An Assessment

The explosive increase and ubiquitous accessibility of visual data on the Web have led to the prosperity of research activity in image search or retrieval. With the ignorance of visual content as a ranking clue, methods with text search techniques for visual retrieval may suffer inconsistency between the text words and visual content. Content based image retrieval CBIR , which makes use of the representation of visual content to identify relevant images, has attracted sustained attention in recent two decades. Such a problem is challenging due to the intention gap and the semantic gap problems.

Numerous techniques have been developed for content based image retrieval in the last decade. The purpose of this paper is to categorize and evaluate those algorithms proposed during the period of 2003 to 2016. We conclude with several promising directions for future research.

Environmental Impact of Geothermal Power Plant

Energy in any form is the main and important factor of any developing nation and Energy is must require for surviving with honor. Geothermal energy is renewable energy source and it is clean and sustainable energy source but the development still required and going. At the time of electricity generation by geothermal power plant can cause many effects like surface disturbance, physical effect and environmental effects like noise pollution, water pollution, air pollution, hazard gasses emission etc. The main motive of this paper is to elaborate many bad impact on the atmosphere of the geothermal power plant and the amount of the different pollutions are discussed here.

Measurement of GHT Glucose, Heart Rate, Temperature Using Non Invasive Method

Measurement of GHT Glucose, Heart Rate, Temperature Using Non Invasive Method The medical field has been emerged in the various sectors but the current blood glucose monitoring BGM are invasive as they require a finger prick blood sample, a repetitively painful process that creates the risk of infection. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested in companies who have sought the solution to this long standing problem. Approaches that have been tried include near infrared spectroscopy measuring glucose through the skin using light of slightly longer wavelengths than the visible region , measuring the amount that polarized light is rotated by glucose in the front chamber of the eye containing the aqueous humor ,and many others. This device provide a solution by interfacing a electronic device that has the capability of monitoring the glucose level, heart rate and temperature using non invasive method which has less risk factors. This is a continuous monitoring device. So it helps to prevent the organ losses due to the low and high level of glucose, heart rate, temperature.

Synthesis and Characterization of Magnesium Borate via Sol Gel Method and Electrospinning Method

The sol gel and electrospinning techniques were used to prepare the magnesium borate polyvinyl alcohol composite. The fibers of magnesium borate about 150 nm diameters, were synthesized from the inorganic organic composite fibers by high temperature calcination process. The synthesized magnesium borate nanofibers were structurally investigated by thermogravimetric differential thermal analysis TG DTA , Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy FT IR , X ray diffractometry XRD and Scanning electron microscopy SEM , respectively. Due to the Mg modification of the B2O3 network, incomplete crystallization of the samples was observed when heat treated at 800 °C. But, completely crystalline fibers were obtained after calcined at 1200 ° C.

Real Time Implementation and Investigation of Wireless Device of Electrical Stimulation for Peripheral Nevers

Electrical nerve stimulation ENS is the delivery of electricity across the intact surface of the skin to activate underlying nerves generally with the objective of pain relief. Wearable Intensive Nerve Stimulation WINS is an emerging form of ENS in which the device is wearable, automated, and designed for intensive use. This enables regular use throughout the day and night, whenever the patient experiences pain, which is essential for the management of chronic pain. Hence we design and develop a wireless controlled smart tiny wearable medical device that is capable of passing electricity through underlying nerves of human beings for symptomatic relief and management of chronic pain. This project can be applicable for coma persons. When there is a slight improvement in their acceleration, this device will stimulate the peripheral nerves accordingly.

Comparative Study of Different Approaches for Measuring Difficulty Level of Question

Semantics based information representations such as ontologies are found to be very useful in repeatedly generating important factual questions. Formative the difficulty level Of these system generated questions is helpful to successfully make use of them in various learning and specialized applications. The accessible approaches for result the difficulty level of factual questions are very simple and are limited to a few basic principles. We suggest a new tactic for this problem by considering an edifying theory called Item Response Theory IRT . In the IRT, facts skill of end users learners are considered for assigning difficulty levels, because of the assumptions that a given question is apparent differently by learners of various proficiencies. We have done a detailed study on the features factors of a question statement which could perhaps determine its difficulty level for three learner categories experts, intermediates, and easy .

Design for Additively Manufactured Structure An Assessment

The design of lightweight structures realized via additive manufacturing has been drawing considerable amount of attentions in academia and industries for a wide range of applications. However, various challenges remain for AM lightweight structures to be reliably used for these applications. For example, despite extensive advancement with geometric design, there still lacks adequate understanding with the process material property relationship of AM lightweight structures. In addition, a more integrated design approach must also be adopted in order to take non uniform material design into consideration.

In our works, a design approach based on unit cell cellular structure was taken in the attempt to establish a comprehensive design methodology for lightweight structures. Analytical cellular models were established to provide computationally efficient property estimation, and various design factors such as size effect, stress concentration and joint angle effect were also investigated in order to provide additional design guidelines. In addition, it was also found that the geometry and microstructure of the cellular structures are dependent on both the process setup and the feature dimensions, which strongly support the argument to establish a multi scale hierarchical cellular design tool.
