Modeling and Analysis of Energy Efficient Cellular Networks

Energy consumption has become a primary concern in design and operation of wireless communication networks due to two main reasons- Environmental concerns and Cost. The next generation network systems will have to consider energy efficient designs in any aspect. The 5G network which is most awaited today though proposes better data rates but also speaks about energy efficiency in its agenda.

A Survey on VLC Based Massive MIMO-OFDM for 5G Networks

Exponential growth of number of mobile users has led to the increasing demand for bandwidth and channel capacity. Thus 5G has to support new multitude of various mobile applications. The 5G networks not only has capacity constraints but also existing challenges such as network reliability, coverage, energy efficiency and latency with current communication systems.

Visible light communication provides broadband wireless data connectivity for high capacity channels. VLC system utilizes intensity modulation, where the information is conveyed through the intensity of LEDs and detected by photodiodes PDs at the receivers. In this survey paper the various techniques for supporting 5G networks using massive MIMO - OFDM concept using visible light technology have been discussed.

An Internet of Things Approach for RFID Smart Tollgate Automation

With the significant development in Roadways, there is an increase in the number of toll plazas. These toll plazas have long queues and the time consumed in paying cash and returning change causes all the more delay. In this project, an IOT based Toll booth Manager System is designed in which a person can use an RFID to pay the Toll charge.

The system would check if it has sufficient balance and then deduct the toll charge and update the balance through IOT. Internet of Things IoT is basically the network of ‘things' by which physical things can exchange data with the help of sensors, electronics, software and connectivity. These systems do not require any human interaction. IoT Technology is found in many industries like healthcare, Energy, Transportation etc. In this project, the data of the RFID card is sent to the website, through IOT.

Finite Element Analysis of Micro End Mill and Simulation of Burr Formation in Machining a Review

The recent technological progressions in industries have offered ascent to the continually growing requests for microstructures, sensors, and parts. Micro-milling is a promising method to create these scaled down structures, sensors, and parts. Yet, micro-milling still confronts some significant difficulties, tormenting further provision of this innovation. The most noticeable around them is micro burr formation. Burrs created along the completed edges and surfaces in micro-milling operation have huge effect on the surface quality and performance of the completed parts and microstructures. In any case, deburring of micro-parts is not conceivable because of bad accessibility and tight tolerances in micro segments.

One of the methods to minimize micro burr formation in micro milling is by enhancing the geometry of the device. As minimization of micro burrs still remains a key test in micro machining, not many researchers have worked in this field. The main aim of the research work is to present finite element analysis of flat end mill micro cutters used in micro milling by varying geometry of the tools. Apart from this, study has been done in detail on burr formation in micro milling and what factors affect it. Burr formation simulation has been carried out while varying the tool geometry.

Evolution of Electronic Aid for Navigation

Evolution of technology has always been endeavored with making daily life simple. With a fast paced life everybody today is harnessing the benefits of technology except some parts of the society .One of them is the visually impaired who have to rely on others for travelling and other activities. The paper aims at providing one such theoretical model which incorporates the latest technologies to provide efficient and smart electronic aid to the visual impaired. The basic objective of the electronic aid is to provide a convenient and easy navigation aid for visual impaired which helps in artificial vision by providing information about the environmental scenario of static and dynamic objects around them.

IR sensors can be used along with ultrasonic range finder circuit for hurdle detection. Bluetooth module along with GPS technology and an Android application for blind will provide voice assistance to desired location and in panic situations will send SMS alert to registered mobile number.

Smart Grid Communication Protocols

Present power grids are getting replaced by smart grids, mainly for improving performance of existing power grid. Integration of electrical, electronics and computer science have led this technology more popular. Smart grid technology is characterized by full duplex communication, automatic metering infrastructure, renewable energy integration, distribution automation and complete monitoring and control of entire power grid. Wireless sensor networks WSNs are small micro electrical mechanical systems that are deployed to collect and communicate the data from surroundings. Security of wireless sensor based communication network is a major concern for researchers and developers. The address oriented design and development approach for usual communication network requires a paradigm shift to design data oriented WSN architecture. This paper is presents different communication protocols used in smart grid technology.
