Wideband Width Impedance Matching Topologies for PA Applications

In this paper, the design of a wideband width impedance matching topology for Power Amplifier PA applications has introduced. The design topology has implemented with single, double and triple stages to demonstrate the wideband width frequency range for input and output matching network section of the PA amplifier. Each stages of the proposed matching circuit has LC filter with high and low pass design configuration. The single stage configuration provides the wide band frequency of 1.07 GHz to 2.094 GHz at 74 dB gain. The frequency range of 0.75 GHz to 2.95 GHz has obtained in double stage configuration with 28 dB, 92 dB and 40 dB gain. The triple stage offers a wide frequency range of 0.59 GHz to 3.7 GHz with 17 dB, 33 dB, 96 dB, 55 dB and 30 dB gain at the cut off frequency of 1.5 GHz which is suitable for PA applications.

Knowledge Management and Predictive Analytics in IT Project Risks

Knowledge management and predictive analytics are considered to be unusual partners in today’s technology. However, they can be very good tools that would solve current problems in valuing data. Predictive analytics has now become one of the forecasting tools that is of huge help in information management. Its application in IT project development risk management is very important, where a lot of raw data is involved with risk analysis and prediction. The use of IT project risk management as supported by knowledge management KM will help increase the success rate of IT projects. Knowledge management will bring about additional value to the data needed. This paper presents the usage of KM and predictive analytics to increase the success ratings of projects by predicting the risks that might happen during project development. It explores how KM and predictive analytics can identify risks in IT project development and give recommendations in evaluating the risks that could affect successful completion of IT projects.

Study of Road Maintenance Fund needs Approach with Link Based and Network Based

Dynamical systems approach can describe the process of roads pavement damage and road maintenance funding allocation scenarios. One of the important thing to predict road maintenance fund needs in the future is how to estimate the traffic that is going through in each link on the road net work. Currently the reare two ways to fore cast future traffic flow, first approaches by link based and the other is network based. Network based approach requires data free flow speed of each link as an input.

In dynamic, free flow speed is affected by the valueo fIRI International Roughness Index . This paper aims to look at the differences total requirement of road maintenance funds need for each year in which the estimated future traffic flows by link based and network based. There are four scenarios allocation of maintenance funds in each year of analysis, ie 20 , 40 . 60 and 80 of the total require ment. From the analysis, it is known that the total funding need for road maintenance at the end of the estimated future traffic flows by way a network based smaller when compared with the link based. In addition, it is known that the road maintenance fund allocation by 80 of the needs, it turns out the total funding need maintenance at the end of the analysis is the smallest.

Identifying Motivational and Demotivational Factors in Qatar Construction Project Management Practices

Motivation is one of the factors that influence the productivity of people. Project Managers, Engineers and Laborers, play a vital role in the management of projects in a Qatar Construction Industry QCI . The success of these projects relies profoundly on their active participation and effective performance. Hence it is important to assess the impact of motivation and demotivation on the performance. The broad objective of this work is to assess the impact of motivation and demotivation in QCI. The specific objective of this paper is identifying the key factors that cause motivation and de motivation in QCI. Literature review, survey with expert opinion and semi structured interviews were conducted to identify these factors. Using these factors to conduct specific motivational programmes will help in improving the productivity of people on a project.

Determining Coefficient of Discharge and Coefficient of Roughness for Short Grass Bed and Concrete Bed

This study carried out to determine the coefficient of discharge and coefficient of roughness for short grass bed and concrete bed in an open channel at Hydraulics laboratory. The open channel on the hydraulic bench is intended to depict an actual open channel flow scenario therefore steady flow was used for this experiment. From the investigation, it was evident that coefficient of discharge for grass bed and concrete bed ranges between 0.00218 and 0.0539. The slope of the channel was found to have no effect on coefficient of discharge. Manning’s Roughness Coefficient “n” was found to increase with the decrease of discharge. Concrete bed has higher coefficient of discharge and lower coefficient of roughness when compared to short grass.

Review of Green Building Index GBI in Malaysia

In recent years, global warming has been a major issue in every country all over the world which has yet to be resolved. World Development Indicator states, the amounts of carbon emission in Malaysia are increasing at an uncontrollable rate especially near the end of Year 2014 with a rate of 8 metric tons per capita. This rate lead to the implementation of greener approach towards industrial sector which includes the construction industry. Green Building Index GBI is the green rating tool recognized by the Malaysian construction industry to promote sustainability in the built environment. It is developed specifically for the Malaysian tropical climate by Persatuan Arkitek M
alaysia PAM and Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia ACEM . Energy is becoming one of the most critical and important aspect to the nation, countries with high percentage of energy and resources is considered powerful as nowadays energy and resources of the country is key measurement for its power and development. The overall study indicated that there is an increase in sustainable construction in current Malaysian construction industry with respect to the GBI standards. This increase should be maintained to ensure all future buildings in Malaysia should follow the standards set by GBI.

A Review on Fuzzy Sets Uncertainty Modeling In Expert Systems

Expert systems are well known area of artificial intelligence and have a huge impact in various fields of life. It has been widely used in managing uncertainty and vague information, which models the ability of humans to make rational decisions. One of the challenges that expert system faced is to deal with uncertainty. Even though there are many uncertainties management approaches which can deal with problems of different types. This paper reviews the trends and general information regarding the expert systems in order to highlight, classify the different approaches in terms of the applications and target area of problem solving. The concepts and techniques used in the development of selected expert systems have discussed which are medical, agriculture, and education. These can serve as a guide in selecting suitable expert systems in their area of problem solving. It is concluded that while expert systems have great potential, they remain un established as a useful technology due to a lack of research and documentation.
