Use of Rice Husk Ash as an Admixture to Substitute of Portland Cement in Concrete

The increase in rate of construction increases the rate demand of Portland cement now a days. Due to urbanization it is estimated that the production of cement increase up to 200 million ton in 2015. Being development of nation on one side, the side effect grows in form of global warming. Increased rate of industrialization leads to Production of toxic gases like CO, CO2, and other hazardous gases leads to ozone depletion which is main cause of global warming & a threat to environment. CO2 gas contributes in relation to 63.33% of global warming.

The factories which manufacture cement are responsible for a quantity of the CO2 gas production because the production of one ton of Portland cement emits around one ton of CO2 into the ambiance. To eliminate the main cause of global threat (CO2), the new idea came in to existence i.e. use of substitute materials in construction industry. For this purpose, the uses of industrial dissipate products and agricultural by products are very beneficial.

These industrial dissipate and agricultural by products such as Silica Fume, Rice Husk Ash, Slag, and Fly Ash etc, are capable of used as cementing materials due to their pozzolanic behavior, these products require large tract of lands for dumping. Great amount of dissipate achieve as by products from several of the industries can be the main sources of such alternate materials. The world rice crop is estimated at 596 million tons per year and India is second major producer of rice in the world with yearly production of 146 million tons per year.

The RICE HUSK ASH (RHA) can be utilize as a substitute material as replacement for ordinary Portland cement. This technology may possibly decrease the CO2 discharge to the environment caused by the cement industries. In the present study, a possibility has completed to use of Rice Husk Ash as an admixture to substitute of Portland cement in concrete, and an effort has been made to explore the strength parameter of concrete.

For control concrete, IS method of mix design has taken on and considering this a basis, mix design for replacement technique has been finished. Five dissimilar replacement levels 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 12.5% and 15% are selected for the study concern to replacement method with range of curing stage starting from 7 days and 28 days are considered in the present study. The watercement ratio used in this study is 0.40.The all results were compared to concrete without RHA.

The compressive, split tensile and flexural strength were compared with those concrete without RHA. The results show that the rice husk ash gives the good performance on compressive, split tensile and flexural strength at the age of 28 days of curing. The results were evaluated with the concrete without RHA. The saturated water absorption results shows that the percentage of water absorption of concrete with containing 7.5- 12.5% replacement of cement by RHA is decrease as compare to concrete without containing RHA.

Comparative Study of Strength of Fibre Reinforced Geo polymer Concrete and Conventional (OPC) Concrete

Concrete is the world' most versatile, reliable and durable construction material. Concrete is the most used material, which requires large quantities of Portland Cement for its production. Ordinary Portland Cement production is the second major generator of carbon dioxide after automobile industry. In addition to that, large amount of energy is consumed for cement production. Hence, it is inevitable to find an alternative material to the most expensive and resource consuming Portland Cement. Geo polymer concrete is a futuristic construction material which is produced by the chemical action of inorganic molecules.

Geo polymer concrete is produced without using any amount of ordinary portland cement. This geo polymer concrete has been studied vastly by many researchers in the past decade and studies suggest that geo polymer concrete is supreme to conventional cement concrete from structural as well as durability point of view.

But it still suffers from a major drawback that it requires accelerated curing for its high early strength gain. In this research, the effect of introduction of various types of fibres on the compressive strength and split tensile strength of geo polymer concrete is been studied and comparison is done with conventional (OPC) concrete.

A Review on Green Cellular Network

Energy efficiency in the cellular network is a growing concern for cellular operators and with the exponential increase in mobile internet traffic driven by a new generation of wireless devices, future cellular networks face a great challenge to meet this overwhelming demand of network capacity. At the same time, the demand for higher data rates and the ever-increasing number of wireless users led to rapid increases in power consumption and operating cost of cellular networks.

This emerging trend of achieving energy efficiency in cellular networks is motivating the standardization authorities and network operators to continuously explore future technologies in order to bring improvements in the entire network infrastructure. In this article, we present a brief review and analysis of methods to improve the power efficiency of cellular networks, explore some research issues and challenges and suggest some techniques to enable an energy efficient or "green" cellular network.

Floating Point Operations Compatible Streaming Elements for FPGA Accelerators

We see that in most computers and applications the CPU is taxed, first and foremost, before other pieces of hardware are. As this is seen in most general usage cases, especially if someone has a strong CPU, there are others where it might be smart for your computer to use other components in your system. This is where hardware acceleration comes into play.

In computing, hardware acceleration is the use of computer hardware to perform some functions more efficiently than is possible in software running on a more general-purpose CPU. To perform operations at high speeds we require accelerators which can boost the speed of the circuit.

In order to achieve this, we have custom circuits where flexibility of the circuit is not possible and soft process approach where there is only register to register transfer is present. To overcome these faults in the existing system a high-performance, fine grained streaming processor, known as a streaming accelerator element, is proposed which realizes accelerators as large-scale custom multicore networks.

By implementing this approach with advanced program control and memory addressing capabilities, we can see that the program inefficiencies can be almost eliminated to enable performance and cost, which are not possible among other software-programmable solutions.

When used to realize accelerators for matrix multiplication it is shown how the proposed architecture enables real-time performance. To support floating point operations we add Floating Point Unit (FPU) to the ALU of processing elements which performs IEEE754 2008 single precision floating point operations addition, multiplication, and subtraction.

Design and Development of System Integrated Test Facility for IADS

This paper proposes a design and development of system integrated test facility for Integrated Architecture Display System (IADS). The earlier system was conventional cockpit in that system had may sensor indicators for different signals it' difficult to monitoring all indicators at a time for the pilots hence the Integrated Architecture and Display System (IADS) replace the conventional cockpit on the helicopter.

The proposed control scheme includes four separate control modules with DMC, MFD, DIU AND CDS, respectively. IADS is built around the digital Display and Mission Computer (DMC) and it acquires helicopter data from on-board sensors in various formats, converts them to digital format for display on the MFDs and CDUs.
