Design and Fabrication of Solar Grass Cutter to Increase Cutting Space Using Scotch Yoke Mechanism

Solar energy is the light that comes from sun and is the earth's most abundant energy source. Everyday sun radiates enormous amounts of energy into space and with the development of technology such as the solar cell, we are able to collect this energy and convert it into usable electricity. The Indian farmers have been using large machineries in cultivation with high cost of processing. In order to save energy, control pollution, reduce fuel consumption, increase the cutting space, easy to operate this grass cutter have made. This Grass cutter most familiar in the low cost, compact in size, eco-friendly to the nature. It enables to provide more cutting space comparing with previous designs.

Review on Linear Array Antenna with Minimum Side Lobe Level Using Genetic Algorithm

Antenna array is formed by assembly of radiating elements in an electrical or geometrical configuration. In most cases the elements are identical. In this paper proposed a very simple and powerful method for the synthesis of linear array antenna and GA. This method reduced the desired level of side lobe level (SLL) as well as to steer the main beam at different-different angle. A new method for adaptive beam forming for a linear antenna arrays using genetic algorithm (GA) are also proposed.

A Review Paper on Study of Progressive Damage of Composite Structure Under Tri Axial Loading by Referencing Macro-Mechanical Based Failure Theories

Paper reviewed laminate failure occurred under tri axial loadings by using macromechanical based failure theories applied under static loading conditions. The proposed failure model by various authors is an extension of the strain energy failure theory for tri axial loading conditions. The paper summarizes laminate failure which includes initial failure, progressive damage, and final failure different laminate ply and material configurations. The paper also reviewed the structure failure due to stress concentration effects arrive due to edging effects. The aim of paper is to present failure of complex composite laminate by various means due to complex loading conditions much similar to actual operational loadings.

A Research Paper on Porous Asphalt Pavement

The aim of this study is to recharge ground water to underplaying aquifers and reduce risk of flood condition. Porous asphalt pavement is an alternative technology that differs from traditional asphalt pavement designs, that the pavement permits fluid to pass freely through it. Porous asphalt pavement also reduces and control surface runoff of surrounding area. This technique also can be used as additional way of storm water management.

The past few studies suggests that, porous asphalt pavement intended to be used for parking lots, storm water management, water quality treatment, peak flow reduction and noise control. The research has focused on improving quality and quantity of ground water. This study includes model making and checking performance of that constructed pavement model.

Study investigates performance of aggregates and porous asphalt used in projects, such as properties of aggregates like impact value, crushing value, specific gravity, abrasion test. Tests performance on porous asphalt includes ductility test, stripping value test and penetration test. Study includes sample making of various proportion of asphalt and aggregates.

Total 9 samples were made to check which sample gives best performance as per the requirement. Out of 9 samples, 6% asphalt with 10mm aggregate + grit sample gives required performance.

Heat Treatment and Alloying of Spherulitic Graphite Cast Iron for Intensification of Properties

Spheroidal graphite cast iron or Spherulitic cast iron is described as a high carbon containing, iron based composite in which the graphite is accessible in negligible, round shapes rather than in the condition of pieces. Spherulitic cast iron or spheroidal graphite cast iron is at times implied as adaptable iron, as it has graphite as spheroids (ferritic or pearlitic) embedded in the steel system. These handles of graphite are confined clearly from the liquid in the midst of the technique of solidifying. The handles are more standard, sharp, little and constitute simply little districts of weakness in a steel-like framework.

In light of this the mechanical properties of pliable irons are associated clearly to the quality and adaptability of the system show simply like the example of steels. This one of a kind property empowers ductile iron to be utilized for various modern applications .The astounding blend of mechanical properties got in Spherulitic cast iron can additionally be upgraded by the heatth treatment. The latest advancement in such manner is the creation of Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI).

By adjusting the austempering treatment at first acquainted for steels with DI, it has been demonstrated that the subsequent metallurgical structures cast properties that positively contrast with those of steel while exploiting a close net-shape fabricating process. It upgrades the rigidity, furnishes better wear opposition alongside great erosion obstruction, greyinishes commotion and vibration in the segments or parts.

Therefore, flexible iron or spherulitic cast iron is austempered when a blend of various good properties are required. In any case, this sort of treatment is bit dubious and it requires controlled heating and isothermal holding of the material. So it is fundamental to locate some alluring strategies for property upgrade in Spherulitic cast iron.

A Review Paper on Study of Progressive Damage of Composite Structure under Tri Axial Loading by Using Micromechanical based Failure Theories

Paper reviewed laminate failure occurred by various means under tri axial loadings by using various micromechanics based failure theories applied under static loading conditions. Experimental data shows that the mechanical behaviour and progressive damage of composite laminates may be different under multi axial loading than under uniaxial loading conditions. The proposed failure model by various authors is an extension of the strain energy failure theory for tri axial loading conditions.

The paper summarizes laminate failure which includes initial failure, progressive damage, and final failure for laminate composite designed with different ply and material configurations. The paper also reviewed the structure failure due to stress concentration effects arrive due to edging effects. The aim of paper is to present failure of complex composite geometries/laminate under complex loading conditions.

Memory Management in BigData: A Perpective View

The requirement to perform complicated statistic analysis of big data by institutions of engineering, scientific research, health care, commerce, banking and computer research is immense. However, the limitations of the widely used current desktop software like R, excel, minitab and spss gives a researcher limitation to deal with big data and big data analytic tools like IBM BigInsight, HP Vertica, SAP HANA & Pentaho come at an overpriced license. Apache Hadoop is an open source distributed computing framework that uses commodity hardware.

With this project, I intend to collaborate Apache Hadoop and R software to develop an analytic platform that stores big data (using open source Apache Hadoop) and perform statistical analysis (using open source R software).Due to the limitations of vertical scaling of computer unit, data storage is handled by several machines and so analysis becomes distributed over all these machines. Apache Hadoop is what comes handy in this environment. To store massive quantities of data as required by researchers, we could use commodity hardware and perform analysis in distributed environment.
