Designing of IIR Filter using Radix-4 Multiplier by Precharging Technique

Infinite impulse response (IIR) filter designs mainly aims on either low area-cost or high speed or reduced power consumption. Infinite Impulse Response filters are the most important element in signal processing and communication. IIR filters can achieve a given filtering characteristic using less memory and calculations than a similar FIR filter. Multipliers are the basic building block in DSP, microprocessors and other applications.

The system's performance is entirely dependent upon the multipliers because they have large area, long latency and consume considerable power hence there is a need to design high speed, low power consumption, regular and less area multipliers. The speed of the multipliers can be increased by reducing the number of partial products. Parallel multipliers are fastest among all multipliers. Booth multipliers are the parallel multipliers that operate on signed operands in two's complement form and have high performance, low power consumption and does not suffer from bad regularity.

This paper presents an efficient implementation of high speed parallel multiplier using Radix'“4 which further used in the designing of IIR filter. Pre-charging is implemented to increase the lifespan of electronic components and increase reliability of the high voltage system. Pre-charge is intended to minimize propagation delay time. Pre-charge of the power line voltages in a high voltage DC application is a preliminary mode which limits the inrush current during the power up procedure. In other systems such as vehicle applications, pre-charge will occur with each use of the system, multiple times per day.

A Situation Aware Navigation System

When emergencies happen, navigation services that guide people to exits while keeping them away from emergencies are critical in saving lives. To achieve timely emergency navigation, early and automatic detection of potential dangers, and quick response with safe paths to exits are the core requirements, both of which rely on continuous environment monitoring and reliable data transmission. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are a natural choice of the infrastructure to support emergency navigation services, given their relatively easy deployment and affordable costs, and the ability of ubiquitous sensing and communication.

Although many efforts have been made to WSN-assisted emergency navigation, almost all existing works neglect to consider the hazard levels of emergencies and the evacuation capabilities of exits. Without considering such aspects, existing navigation approaches may fail to keep people farther away from emergencies of high hazard levels and would probably encounter congestions at exits with lower evacuation capabilities.

In this proect, we propose a situation-aware emergency navigation system, which takes the hazard levels of emergencies and the evacuation capabilities of exits into account and provides the mobile users the safest navigation paths accordingly By guiding users following the descend gradient of the hazard potential field, System thereby can thereby achieve guaranteed success of navigation and provide optimal safety.

An Efficient FIR Filter for Electrocardiogram Signal

Filtering of Electrocardiogram signal is very important because noisy Electrocardiogram signal can mask some important features of the Electrocardiogram. Graphical information related to the heart functioning by means of a base line and waves representing the heart voltage changes during a period of time, usually a short period is given by Electrocardiogram.

It is done by putting leads on specific part of the human body, to get changes of the bioelectrical heart signal. Electrocardiogram is considered to be a must have feature for a medical diagnostic imaging system. Electrocardiogram, a non invasive technique is used as a primary diagnostic tool for cardiovascular diseases. A cleaned Electrocardiogram signal provides necessary information about the electrophysiology of the heart diseases and ischemic changes that may occur.

It provides valuable information about the functional aspects of the heart and cardiovascular system. The objective of the work is to automatic detection of cardiac arrhythmias in Electrocardiogram signal in Pan Tompkins tern reorganization technique is used in this project for detection of cardiac arrhythmias. The proposed system consists of three main stages, which are the Electrocardiogram.

In the first stage, the Electrocardiogram various processing is responsible for three tasks: theye are 1) Electrocardiogram filtering; 2) QRS complex detection; and 3) T and P wave delineation. This system has memories, filter, PAT algorithm and naive base classifier using xlinx software tool and finally the normal or abnormal signal is determined by the normal or abnormal flags.

Detection and Analysis of Sag and Swell Power Quality Disturbances using Fractional Fourier Transform

In this paper we have detected and analyzed sag and swell type of disturbance in power signal using fractional fourier transform method. Each signal is analyzed for different values of transform order in the range of 0 to 1. We have analyzed this algorithm in MATLAB simulation tool. This analysis is performed to find out the performance of this method on different types of disturbances. We have analyzed this to find out maximum deviation in each disturbance and compare it for each signal.

Performance Characteristics of A Variable Compression Ratio Engine using Transesterified Mahua Oil

The performance characteristics of a single-cylinder four-stroke variable compression ratio engine fueled with esterified Mahua oil were investigated. The suitability of esterified Mahua oil produced from seed of raw Mahua by transesterification process has been studied in variable compression ratio engine. Experiment has been conducted at various loads like 0 kg,2 kg,4kg, 6 kg, 8 kg, 10 kg, and 12 kg with engine speed of 1500 rpm and at compression ratio's varies from 13:1 to 19:1. The impact of compression ratio depend on fuel consumption.

The performance characteristics like Brake Thermal Efficiencies(BTH), Brake Specific Fuel Consumption(BSFC), Brake Specific Energy Consumption(BSEC) and Volumetric Efficiency(VE) are analyzed for Mahua oil in the variable compression ratio engine.

Pongamia Bio Diesel '“ A Review

Day by day vehicle population in the world is increasing and usage of fossil fuel is also increasing. By using fossil fuel as a fuel in I C Engines will cause for health hazards, Global pollution, at the same time sources of fossil fuels are also decreasing. The countries like INDIA are depending on other countries for the petroleum based fuel and it will affect the development of the country also. The usage of Diesel fuel in India is six times greater than the Gasoline (petrol) fuel. The India has lot of resources to produce Liquid alternate fuels like Ethanol, Methanol, and Bio-Diesel etc... Bio-Diesel is a one of the Alternate fuel for Diesel fuel and it is produced from renewable sources (Plants).

The pongamia tree is normally grown in the banks of canals, rivers etc... If the ripen and fallen seeds are collected that is sufficient to produce the bio fuel for the Indian farmers requirements. This paper presents a brief review about different research work done on the pongamia bio diesel. Plenty of researchers are doing their research on bio diesel by various innovative methods, fuel parameters like blending, pre '“ heating, dual fuel and engine parameters like compression ratio, fuel injection pressure, injection timing etc... In this paper various journals are collected from web resources and brief study has been done, concluded.

Cluster Based Resource Allocation for CoMP MU-MIMO 5G Network

Massive MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) is considered as an heir of the multi-user MIMO technology and it has recently gained lots of attention from both academia and industry. In 5G environment, more users using the network at the same time, CoMP is used for MU-MIMO beamforming environment to provide network from BS.

The transmit power, pilot training, and spatial transmission resources need to be allocated properly to the users to achieve the highest possible performance. This is called resource allocation and can be formulated as design utility optimization problems. Identifying non-disjoint clusters is an important issue in clustering referred to as Overlapping Clustering.

While traditional clustering methods ignore the possibility that an observation can be assigned to several groups and lead to k exhaustive and exclusive clusters representing the data, Overlapping Clustering methods offer a richer model for fitting existing structures in several applications requiring a non-disjoint partitioning.

In this Thesis Develop Proper Clustering algorithm for CoMP network based on location and traffic load using Similarity-based Clustering and Model-based Overlapping Clustering. The Simulation results analysis the performance of K Means and Hierarchical Clustering.
