A Survey: Silkworm Egg Counting and Monitoring Based on Image Processing and Internet of Things (IoT)

Sericulture or Silk Farming is the cultivation of Silkworms to produce silk. India is the second largest producer of silk in the world after China. Directly or indirectly sericulture provides employability to more than 10 lakh people in India. Karnataka state contributes more production of silk in India. Silkworm seed production is important in increasing the quantity of silk production. Grainage are used for the production of large quantity of the Silkworm eggs. Counting of silkworm eggs is necessary to avoid loss to silkworm egg producers and farmers .

Present methods of counting of Silkworm eggs such as manual counting is waste of time and it requires lot of man power , other method such as calculator causes harm to the eggs because of its needle. Silkworm production is adversely effected by the humidity and temperature of the environment. Silkworm undergoes various changes in its lifecycle so it requires some automation to continuously monitor the growth of silkworm to increase the quality and quantity of the silkworm.

Hence automatic methods such as digital image processing techniques are used to count the number of eggs to avoid loss to the sericulturists and farmers. This paper presents the various image processing and IOT techniques used to monitor and obtain the silkworm egg count.

Synthesis of 64-Bit Triple Data Encryption Standard Algorithm using VHDL

Data security is the most important requirement of today's world, to transmit digital data from one place to another. We need to secure the transmitted data at the transmitting end so that no unauthorized user can access it. To encrypt the data at the transmitting point and decrypt the data at the receiving point we need the communication security[8] . Only the authorized user can get back the original text, provided they have the secret key. Cryptography is a technique to transmit protected data between two points.

The word '˜Cryptography' was invented by combining two Greek words, '˜Krypto' meaning hidden and '˜graphene' meaning writing. Cryptography is the study of mathematical techniques related to aspects of various information data security. It deals with protection of data on unsecured channel by altering the data in encrypt (coded)form. Basically, we have two cryptography techniques for digital data transfer, depending on how the encryption-decryption is carried out in the system, Symmetric Cryptography and Asymmetric Cryptography. DES, TRIPLE-DES, IDEA, AND BLOWFISH algorithms use symmetric cryptography technique.

Due to the importance of the DES/TDES algorithm and the numerous applications that it has, our main concern DES/TDES Encryption/ Decryption using three keys and synthesize TDES, which give higher operating frequency. In this paper we present, TDES synthesis in VHDL, in Electronic Code Block(ECB) mode, of this commonly used cryptography scheme with aim to improve performance. The design is simulated and synthesized in Xilinx ISE 14.7 with family Virtex-7 (XC7VX330t'“ 3ffg1157). Our design achieves a operating frequency of 114.33 MHZ.

Biodiesel Production & Performance Analysis on CI Engines '“ A Review

The energy needs of the world have been increasing since the inception of the Industrial revolution. The major sources of energy throughout the world have been fossil fuels, namely coal, petroleum fuels and natural gas. These resources are limited and are depleting fast. The replenishment of these is not possible keeping in mind our enormous requirements of energy, as these are non-renewable. Hence, there is a need of energy sources which are renewable, economic and do not pose a major threat to the environment. Biodiesel fuels have emerged as an option that is renewable and economic.

These fuels are used as blends with diesel and can be used to power CI engines. There is a large quantity of used cooking oil that is produced from household, restaurants, etc which is disposed off with no option of reuse. This type of waste oil is available in large quantities and at an economic rate. Thus, if used to create biodiesel, these types of oils can solve two problems '“ it will give us an economic option of alternative energy resource that is easily available, and will help control environmental pollution that is caused by disposal of these waste oils on land and water resulting in destruction of flora and fauna.

In this present review work, we have studied various works done in the field of biodiesel production from various sources and method by researchers around the world. This review work focuses primarily on two aspects: study of biodiesel production by various processes with special focus on trans-esterification process and study of performance/emission characteristics of VCR engines using different blends of biodiesel with normal diesel.

Experimental study on flexible concrete by using polyurethane fiber

In this paper the properties of conventional concrete have been developed. Conventional concrete has the property of high brittleness and less flexural strength. This is a undesirable characteristics is mother of development of Flexible concrete to improve this deficiency. The Polyurethane fiber has the ability to impart considerably flexibility in concrete. For this purpose concrete cube, cylinders and beams experimentally tested.

By the mixture of traditional concrete ingredients and special polyurethane fibers addition with water super plasticizers for good workability purpose. The test results have proved to be increased flexibility of the concrete.

An Advanced New Adaptive Alpha-Trimmed Median Filter for Removel of Salt and Pepper Noises for Recovering the Image Protecting Edge Data

Here in this paper we discuss about an advanced new adaptive alpha-trimmed median filter for removel of salt and pepper noises for recovering the image protecting edge data. In olden days we used anlage technology to capture the images which manes photo reals or negatives to capture the images, even though they have high resolution when compared when compared to the today digital images, we have to compromise the parameters like lighting, and some other noises.

When compared to the disadvantages of the analogue technology digital technology is preferred. In the digital technology we can edit or modify or even we can compress the images without losing visual effects. When coming to the digital technology there are some complications like noise, size issue, etc. While considering the noise there are different types of noises like Salt and Pepper noise, Gaussian noise, etc.

Salt and Pepper noise is the frequently observed noise, in which some the pixel values are disturbed and changes into pure white or pure black and while considering the colour images it changes maximum or minimum of corresponding colour. This creates the disturbances in the images in different levels. Higher the damaged pixels higher the noise appears. In our proposed system we are using a new filter called Alpha trimmed median filter.

The pixels which effected by noise have the value 0 or 255 which are black and white respectively. In olden methods they mostly used the median filter to rectify or recover the noise images, even though they give the resultant output in rectifications it also results in the loss of edge data. In our proposed system we are changing the value of only corrupted pixel values which results in recovering the image and protecting the edge data.

An Efficient Method K-Means Clustering for Detection of Tumour Volume in Brain MRI Scans

Here in this paper we discuss about an efficient method k-means clustering for detection of tumour volume in brain MRI scans. This paper describes an efficient method for automatic brain tumor segmentation for the extraction of tumour tissues from MR images. It combines Perona and Malik anisotropic diffusion model for image enhancement and K means clustering techniques for grouping tissues belonging to a specific group. The developments in the application of information technology have completely changed the world.

The obvious reason for the introduction of computer system is: reliability, accuracy, simplicity and ease of use. Besides, the customization and optimization features of a computer system and among the other major driving forces in adopting and subsequently strengthening the computer aided systems. On medical imaging, an image is captured, digitized and processed fordoing segmentation and for extracting important information.

Manual segmentation is an alternate method for segmenting an image. This method is not only tedious and time consuming, but also produces inaccurate results. Therefore, there is a strong need to have some efficient computer based system that accurately defines the boundaries of brain tissues along with minimizing the chances of user interaction with the system.
