œZimcorp' '“ A Collaborative Web Application for Enhancing Intracorporate Communication

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the significance of effective communication in organizations. Corporate web is extremely useful for communication and collaboration between the employees for successful functioning of any business organization. Using this tool helps in conveying and distributing necessary information among the employees of an organization and to post their ideas of how the project can be done, posting their queries, motivating each employee, compatibility between each team leaders and employees. It will help to minimize organizational conflict, cosy environment and enhance time management. This stands as a milestone for organisation as a whole network of efficient workplace.

Total Home Security System using ARM

An intelligent security system that provides a high level of home security using visual surveillance is developed and explored in this paper. This will be very much useful in home and company automation. Security has becoming an important issue everywhere. Home security is becoming necessary nowadays as the possibilities of intrusion are increasing day by day. This paper is about safety from theft, leaking of raw gas and fire are the most important requirements of home security system for people.

A traditional communications based security systems provides enhanced security as whenever a signal from sensor occurs, a text message is sent to a desired number to take necessary actions. For extra security we have added finger print sensor and keypad due to this only authorized person can enter home.

If someone tries to enter from the window in house then laser security will put on the buzzer and inform to the owner through GSM module. When there is an unauthorized entry on finger print scanner then it will ask for the keypad password and both the entry does not match then it gives security alert in terms of sound and a mail is delivered to the owner.

Tri-band Microstrip Patch Antenna for Satellite Communication

A compact and high gain micro strip patch antenna is proposed for satellite communication. The antenna covers the frequency of C-band, X-band and Ku-band. The proposed antenna having the maximum reflection coefficient of -28.076 at 13.13GHz. This antenna achieves high gain and directivity. Four circular slots are inserted into the rectangular patch of the antenna. Low cost FR4 dielectric is used as a substrate material. The antenna provides the bandwidth of 14GHz. The gain achieved by the antenna is 3.04dBi at 4GHz, 4.90dBi at 8GHz, 1.88dBi at 12GHz and 8.29dBi at 18GHz. The design and simulation of the Microstrip antenna is done by Advanced Design System(ADS) software 2016 version.

Combined Channel and Clipping Level Estimation in OFDM with MMSE Equalizer

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been recently applied wide in wireless communication systems, as a result of its high rate, transmission capability with high information measure, potency and its strength to multipath delay .Channel estimation is an important drawback in OFDM system. Channel estimation forms the center of any orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based mostly wireless communication receiver. Frequency domain pilot aided channel estimation techniques are either least squares (LS) based or minimum mean square error (MMSE) based.

LS based techniques are computationally less complex. Unlike MMSE ones, they do not require a priori knowledge of channel statistics. However, the mean square error (MSE) performance of the channel estimator incorporating MMSE based techniques is better compared to that obtained with the incorporation of LS based techniques. We propose an alternative optimization algorithm which uses frequency-domain block-type training symbols, and prove that this algorithm always converges, at least to a local optimum point. Then, we calculate the Crame-´r - Rao lower bound, and show that the proposed estimator attains the bound.

Collaborative Filtering with Preventing Fake Ratings

Social voting is a promising new feature in online social networks. It has distinctive challenges and opportunities for suggestion. In this paper, we increase a set of matrix factorization (MF) and nearest-neighbor (NN)-based recommended systems (RSs) that explore user social network and group association information for social voting recommendation. During experiments with actual social voting traces, we express that social network and group association information can drastically progress the popularity-based voting advice, and social network in order dominates group association sequence in NN-based approaches.

We as well observe that social and group information is much more precious to cold users than to heavy users. In our experiments, simple meta path based nearest-neighbor models outperform computation-concentrated on matrix factorization models in hot-voting recommendation, while user's preferences for non-hot votings can be better mined by matrix factorization models. We further put forward a hybrid RS, bagging distinct single approaches to get the best top-k hit rate.

Optimum sizing methodologies and planning of different system components in hybrid power system

In this paper a review is given related to the different sizing methodologies which can be opt in hybrid power generation system incorporating renewable energy resources (RERs). Different criteria of sizing the different system components of hybrid renewable energy power plant at the most preferable logistical environmental and economical considerations have been discussed. Also, the paper discussed some of the optimization approaches which are used to compare the energy production cost and performance of different hybrid system configurations using HOMER.

Different topologies and sizing techniques in PV-Wind-Battery based power system

Uneconomical extension of the grid has led to generation of electric power at the end user facility and has been proved to be cost effective and to an extent efficient. With augmented significance on eco-friendly technologies the use of renewable energy sources such as micro-hydro, wind, solar, biomass and biogas is being explored. This paper presents an extensive review on various topologies and sizing techniques related to Renewable Energy System (RES) based power generation.

As solar and wind power is intermittent and unpredictable in nature, higher penetration of their types in existing power system could cause and create high technical challenges especially to weak grids or stand-alone systems without proper and enough storage capacity. The paper also gives a review of the main research work reported in the literature with regard to optimal sizing design, power electronics topologies and control.
