Extraction of Struvite from Wastewater

The increase in human population need for food production is also increasing day by day. In order to produce healthy organic food depends on the natural fertilizer, so the availability of source for the natural fertilizer production has been decreased. In order to solve the problem without affecting the environment, an eco-friendly and cost-effective fertilizer is in need to be produced. In our project the natural fertilizer can be precipitated from wastewater.

Nitrogen and Phosphorous in wastewaters are a burning environmental issue of the present world. Wastewater which contains a high amount of phosphorous and nitrogen would be a good source for production of fertilizer. Our project deals with the production of natural fertilizer called Struvite (Magnesium, Ammonium, Phosphorous). Addition of a source of Mg is essential to maintain the favourable condition of PO_4 and Mg crystallization. Struvite is a phosphate-based fertilizer although it contains a significant amount of magnesium and nitrogen, and it is an effective alternative source of rock phosphate to maintain the agricultural food production system.

This project deals with the extraction of struvite from the wastewater by Electrolysis. Also it consumes less energy and produce considerable amount of struvite which will be helpful in the production of phosphate fertilizer and also reduces the problems dealt with struvite in wastewater treatment plants pipes. The slower nutrient leaching loss and its fertilizer quality make struvite an eco-friendly fertilizer. It is possible to overcome the acute shortage of rock phosphate if all the municipal and livestock wastewaters are connected with the wastewater treatment plants.

Alzheimer Patient Tracking and Alert System

Locating and securing an Alzheimer's patient who is outdoors and in wandering is crucial to an Alzheimer patient safety. Although advances in geo tracking and mobile technology have made locating patients instantly possible, reaching them while in wandering state may take time. However, a social network of caregivers may help shorten the time that it takes to reach and secure a wandering AD patient. This study proposes a new type of intervention based on novel mobile application architecture to form and direct a social support network of caregivers for locating and securing wandering patients as soon as possible.

System employs, aside from the conventional tracking mechanism, a wandering detection mechanism, both of which operates through a tracking device installed a Subscriber Identity Module for Global System for Mobile Communications Network (GSM). Security and Privacy Enhancement Framework for Mobile Devices using Active Authentication

The techniques we used to develop and to ensure the separation of enterprise content and personal data on an end-user's device. Although the enterprise manages the environment in which work-related activities are conducted, referred to as a work persons third-party applications installed on the mobile devices may make the enterprise content vulnerable to misuse or exfiltration. An application restriction policy is configured through our Application Restriction Manager (ARM) Policy Manager that allows one to set different restrictions for each installed application.

Our approach, that we refer to as DroidARM, focuses on post-installation application restriction policies. Such policies dynamically restrict the capabilities of mobile applications at run-time. An application restriction policy is configured through our Application Restriction Manager (ARM) Policy Manager that allows one to set different restrictions for each installed application.

Adhering to the policy, our ARM system limits the capabilities of an application by restricting access to data and system resources contained within the work persona. Data shadowing is a data and system resource protection technique we have chosen to leverage. We have implemented DroidARM and integrated it into the Android operating system. Our experimental results show that our approach is efficient and effective.

Feasibility analysis of using waste fish oil as an alternate fuel

The production of fossil fuels seems to be in falling trend as the most commonly used fuel is getting depleted day by day on the other hand consumption is increasing, thereby leading us to an inevitable position in near future. The environmental pollution is also the key concern and fossil fuels are the major pollutants. Pollution from burning diesel causes health problems and environmental hazards.

In order to meet these requirements and overcome the problems we have to look towards alternatives to petroleum based fuels like petrol and diesel. Vegetable and animal fat oils are considered as good alternatives to diesel as their properties are close to diesel since they offer the advantages of being used readily in existing diesel engines without alterations. Initially, a base line data was generated with diesel, jatropha and fish oil.

Subsequently, the fish oil was converted into biodiesel by degumming and neutralization in the chemistry laboratory. This project aims at finding an alternate to the conventional diesel fuel by investigating the feasibility of biodiesel from fish oil as fuel in diesel engine for various blends. Hence various tests were carried out in the diesel engine of kirloskar make and the various characteristics like flash point, fire point and viscosity were studied and the results are tabulated. The results obtained after conducting the experiments shown that using biodiesel (prepared from fish oil) can be an effective and eco-friendly fuel in the present day engine without any modifications.

Structural Analysis and Design of Structural Elements of A Building

Structural design is primary aspect of Civil Engineering. The very basis of construction of any building, residential house or dams or bridges, culverts, canals etc. is designing. Structural engineering has existed since humans first started to construct their own structures. The foremost basic in structural engineering is the design of simple basic components and members of a building viz., Slabs, Beams, Columns and Footings. In order to design them, it is important to first obtain the plan of the particular building. Thereby depending on the suitability; plan layout of beams and the position of columns are fixed. Thereafter, the loads are calculated.

Once the loads are obtained, the component takes the load first i.e. the slabs can be designed. Designing of slabs depend upon the type of slab and end conditions and loading. Then the beams are designed thereafter the columns. Most of the columns designed in this project are axially loaded columns with uniaxial bending Finally the footings are designed based on the loading from column and also the soil bearing capacity value of that particular area. Most importantly, the sections must be checked for all the four components with regard to strength and serviceability

Optimized Carry Speculative Adder

Arithmetic logic units and digital signal processors widely uses adders. It is the most complicated arithmetic circuits in digital electronics. The existing adders suffer from critical path delay, area overhead and power consumption. Speculative adders are designed with variable latency that combines speculation technique along with correction methodology to attain high performance in terms of low area overhead over the existing adders. In speculative adders the sum and carry generation part is separated to reduce the area overhead.

Carry Speculative Adder (CSPA) uses carry predictor circuit to reduce power consumption and to reduce the computational time and it uses error recognition and error correction circuit to find the fault occurred in the partial sum generator and to recover it to get accurate results.

A Survey on Significance for Changes Student's thoughts using Data Mining

This paper aims to calculate the factors and build prediction models for the persuasive message changing student's attitude by applying classification techniques. We used a questionnaire to collect data such as gender, age and their satisfaction with persuasive messages, obtained from students at other country Universities. The classification rule generation process is based on the decision tree as a classification method where the generated rules are studied and evaluated. We compared the results obtained from three algorithms.
