Design and Fabrication of Bottom Fixture in Robot Soldering Machine

The main purpose of this project is to design and manufacture of bottom fixture in Robo Soldering machine and inspect it with the image of the PCB captured through Vision Based system. Power supply has to be turned on to peripheral devices of the machine before turning on main supply. Status of DIO (Direct Input Output) power supply and field bus connection is diagnosed at the initialization process. When the product is kept on the table and if there is no power supply detected then there will be a alarm.

The process mainly takes place with the help of PLC and Lab VIEW interfacing. VCC (Verify C- Compiler) program software is used .lab VIEW programming for automation purpose and process repetition and this acts as master and PLC as slave. The communication cable that is used is RS232. When the component is first placed on the fixture table, a sensor gives the feedback to the controller. The 4 digit, 7- segment LED display shows the controller status. An image of the board before soldering is captured. Create a position table and a program using the SEL (Services for Export and Language) programming language.

Now according to the programming fed, the Robot takes the solder material and feed it on the points where the soldering has to be done on the PCB board based on X/Y/Z coordinate axes. After the soldering is done, an image is captured. If the soldering is done well with the appropriate feed on all pins then we get the inspection result as "Good" else the result will be "No Good".

If the result is "Good' then it can be taken to the next level else the same procedure has to be repeated. The main advantage of this vision based inspection is that it gives the details of even the person who did the process, in case if there is any issue regarding that product. This can be designed in such a way to be used for other applications also.

Alert System for Unmanned Railway Crossing using GPS - A Survey

The main aim of this project is to provide a solution to unmanned railway crossing using a Smartphone based warning system. Protection of common people is indeed a challenge in today's world with the enormous growth in the transportation field over the past 5 years, around 613 have become victims to unmanned railways crossings and the count is increasing at an alarming rate. Statistics states that there are a total of 9340 unmanned level crossings in India which is prone to accidents. This system is mainly used to prevent these accidents through alarms by the use of GPS technologies.

GPS communication plays an important role in the implementation of this system. The GPS can calculate the co-ordinate positions with the centre of the Earth as the origin by receiving signals from the satellite. The signals thus received help us to perceive the location of the user and the train. Thus, this system aims to detect dangerous situations and to avoid untimely and false alarms.

Study on Laser Communication: Features, Application, Advantages

Laser communications offer a viable alternative to RF communications for intersatellite links and other applications where high-performance links are necessary. High data rate, small antenna size, narrow beam divergence, and a narrow field of view are characteristics of laser communication that offer a number of potential advantages for system design. The high data rate and large information throughput available with laser communications are many times greater than in radio frequency (RF) systems.

The small antenna size requires only a small increase in the weight and volume of host vehicle. In addition, this feature substantially reduces blockage of fields of view of the most desirable areas on satellites. The smaller antennas, with diameters typically less than 30cm, create less momentum disturbance to any sensitive satellite sensors. The narrow beam divergence of affords interference-free and secure operation.

MIMO-OFDM's BER and Design Performance for Wireless Broadband Communications

To get high data rates, speed and immediate amplify in range and reliability without consuming more radio frequency require MIMO-OFDM for wireless broadband communication. In this paper, we investigate the performance of MIMO-OFDM using diverse modulation schemes are used to encode and decode the data stream in wireless communication over AWGN channel for the indefinite transmitter and known receiver. In exacting we relate MIMO detection methods based on V-BLAST (Vertical Bells Lab Layered Space Time) planning to develop spectral efficiency.

Strength and Durability of High Strength Fibre Reinforced Self Compacting Concrete with Nano Silica

Conventional concrete used in building and civil engineering applications requires compaction to achieve strength, durability and homogeneity. The typical method of compaction, vibration, generates delays and additional costs in projects and moreover is a health hazard in and around construction sites. Self-Compacting Concrete is a highly flow able, stable concrete which flows readily into place, filling formwork without any consolidation and without undergoing any significant segregation.

In the present experimental investigation the glass Fibres are added in different proportion (0%,0.5%,0.75%,1%) to total volume of cement and 4% of nano silica is constantly added in all mix of SCC & to study the fresh and harden properties such as workability, compressive, split tensile flexural strength and durability test (sulphate resistance) on M50 grades concrete.

Finally the test results are compared with conventional concrete. Based on the tests results, the use of 0.75% glass fibre with 4% of nano silica in self compacting concrete improves the quality of concreting & produce comparatively better results in both strength as well as durability aspect.

Design of Dual Pulsating Latch Flip-Flop (DPLFF) using Novel Pulse Generator

In this paper various flip-flop structures have been studied. In all designs to reduce power consumption, the Pulse Generator circuitry should be in build along with the flip-flop itself. If a pulse generator is included along with DPSCRFF structure, power consumption can be reduced. In this work a new design of flip-flop, Double Pulse Latch Flip-flop (DPLFF) is proposed. DPLFF eliminates unnecessary glitches, which consume more power.

DPLFF consume less power for same delay as compared with other existing techniques, which is performing one of the fastest known flip-flops. In serial operation as shift register the proposed DPLFF can perform better at the higher frequency. The stacking of transistor in the latch stage cause reduction in subthreshold leakage current & thus the static power consumption is also less for DPLFF. This is better suited for low power circuits at deep submicron technology where leakages are more dominant.

Cooling by using Earthen Pot

Demand for electric power is more in summer is concern for most utilities. However evaporating cooling required more amount of water which is main source as an evaporator, and this only work efficiently when humidity is low. Evaporating cooling could be a quite common kind of cooling for the thermal comfort since it is relative low cost and needed less energy than several different styles of cooling. In our project, we are using earthen pots and soft cotton curtains are used for cooled air. Meeting demand for electrical power throughout peak periods in the summer may be a major concern for many utilities within the fast-moving world.

From the demand points of read on the grid and value to the consumer, need to quite know install, energy-efficient evaporative coolers instead of standard air conditioners.
