Development of High Performance Concrete

Making of High Performance Concrete, which is chiefly used as a building material in the major and mega infrastructure and projects, is a very big task. Though the recent advancements have dominated the barriers of the preparation of high performance concrete, the use of green materials such as Meta-kaoline, Silica Fume, Fly Ash and Rice Husk Ash is limited.

Apart from the green materials, numerous conventional and mineral admixtures are available in the current market, which enhances the quality and performance of the concrete such as Metakaoline, Alccofine and Silica Fume etc. The quality of concrete mixture is evaluated through various mechanical properties like compressive strength, flexural strength and split tensile strength and various durability tests like rapid chloride penetration test (RCPT), sorptivity test, chloride resistance test, accelerated corrosion test and sea water attack test are carried out to analys the performance of HPC. The prime objective of this research study is to evaluate the structural strength of high performance concrete by utilizing green and pozzolanic material as supplementary cementitious material.

This research study primarily focuses on the development of empirical correlations for estimating the 7 days and 28 days compressive strength with sufficient workability diverse range of water/cement ratio for concrete mixes. Detailed laboratory investigations are performed covering almost all available supplementary cementitious materials like Meta-kaoline, Silica Fume, Fly Ash and Rice Husk Ash nearby area of Madhya Pradesh state of India. This Research study helps in identifying the influence of Meta-kaoline, Silica Fume, Fly Ash and Rice Husk Ash on the strength characteristics of HPC. The use of alternative material of Portland Cement leads to reduction of emission of harmful gases and impact on production capacity of cement manufacturing plant.

This research work will enhance and accelerates the decision making process in the pre construction as well as post construction stages of any infrastructure projects. Further the above developed empirical model can be applied for all manufacturing of high performance concrete using supplementary cementitious material. These developed correlations can offer excellent engineering judgment and assist in decision making process for the structural evaluation of the HPC during pre-construction and post construction stages.

Image Realization Steganography by Secure Key Transmission

This work proposes a novel scheme for separable reversible data hiding in encrypted images. In the first phase, a content owner encrypts the original uncompressed image using an encryption key. Then, a data-hider may compress the least significant bits of the encrypted image using a data-hiding key to create a sparse space to accommodate some additional data. With an encrypted image containing additional data, if a receiver has the data-hiding key, can extract the additional data though the image content is not known.

If the receiver has the encryption key, then can decrypt the received data to obtain an image similar to the original one, but cannot extract the additional data. If the receiver has both the data-hiding key and the encryption key, can extract the additional data and recover the original content without any error by exploiting the spatial correlation in natural image when the amount of additional data is not too large.

Impact of Sugar Industry Effluent on Nearby Water Body: A Review

Due to rapid growth of industrialization and anthropogenic activities create water pollution, which is major concern for environmentalist. In industrial sectors the sugar industry contributes a major role in generation of water pollution. In sugar industry processes like mill house, boiler blow down, condensing cooling water, soda and acid wastes, spent wash, etc create majority of water pollution. Typical physicochemical parameters present in wastewater are pH, BOD, COD, TDS, TS, chloride, sulphate and phosphate found in significant quantity. Treated/Untreated effluent of sugar industry is directly used as irrigation purpose or discharge in nearby water body. Due to this practices quality of soil, surface water body and ground water is degrading day by day.

Review Paper of Image processing technique for the diagnosis of diseases

In recent times, image processing techniques are used in medical field for image improvement in earlier detection of diseases, Medical informatics is the study that combines two medical data sources: biomedical record and imaging data .Medical image data is formed by pixels that correspond to a part of a physical object and produced by imaging modalities study of medical image data methods is a challenge in the sense of getting their insight value, analyzing and diagnosing of a specific disease.

Image classification plays an important role in computer-aided-diagnosis of diseases and is a big challenge on image analysis tasks. This test related to the usage of methods and techniques in exploiting image processing result, pattern recognition result and classification methods and subsequently validating the image classification result into medical expert information.

The main aim of medical images classification is to reach high accuracy to identify the name of diseases .The improvement of image classification techniques to increase accuracy and sensitivity value and to be feasible working for computer-aided-diagnosis are a big challenge.

Assessment of Water Pollution of Water Bodies using GIS - A Review

Quality and quantity of water bodies is considered main pillar for sustainable development. Assessment of surface water bodies is required for growing urban cities like Surat. Due to impact of urbanization, the surface water bodies of Surat City have been adversely affected. The main Scope of study is the qualitative classification of the Creek and Tapi River of Surat City based on the effective qualitative parameters in the Indian water standards for drinking purpose. The study focuses on spatial changes in surface water quality based on a combined examination of physical and chemical parameters.

GIS is proper solution for analysing the useful information obtain from spatial and temporal data because this analysis extract information from the available spatial data which can be very helpful in the future decision making. To obtain spatial dissemination of surface water quality parameters (as COD, BOD, pH, DO, Turbidity, EC, TDS, TSS and Chloride), interpolating technique is used.

Design and Analysis of Helical Gear with different Materials by using Pro/E and Ansys

Gear is a power transmitting element among the rotating shafts by means of progressive meeting of projections which is identified as teeth. The purpose of the gear is transmitting torque (power) among rotating shafts when the central distance between the shafts is comparatively less. The main aim of the paper is to Design and Analysis of a helical gear for marine applications, by using empirical formulas and Calculation, from the data to draw a 3D model helical gear by using Pro/Engineer Software and the Structural and Thermal Analysis is done by the Simulation Software (ANSYS). Structural and thermal analysis is done using two materials Nickel Chromium Molybdenum Alloy Steel and Aluminum Alloy A360.

Structural analysis and thermal analysis is done to conform to the Displacement, Von Mises Stress, and thermal properties related nodal temperature, thermal gradient and thermal flux.

Concept of Regression Analysis in Concrete Mix Design

In civil engineering, on site concrete mixing is very important .To determine compressive strength of concrete mix, statistical method is very useful. Regression analysis is an effective statistical technique. By analysing the laboratory concrete block/ cylinder tests , we can determine not only the correlation between compressive strength at different curing ages of concrete but also variation in material properties, ratios and variation in % of fly ash as a partial replacement of concrete.
